In fact they were about 20% more expensive than the next closest bid, but the finish product indicates that it was still an exceptional value. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and if you want a quality fence, you need to understand that you will pay a premium for that service. 2. Their paperwork, bid process and pre-job walk-through are an industry standard. We actually live about 180 miles away and we were having them build a fence for a second property we own. We were having a tough time understanding why they wanted to do a walk-through before they started the demo of the old fence and they waited to start until we arrived on property to have that discussion. During the walk through, they told us things that we may want to consider (in terms of what they were demoing) and things they could do to help us. For example, I knew that I was going to have to remove two very large limbs of a tree so that they could build the new fence. It would have taken me several hours and a potential ER visit to do, but they discussed what they could do and in the end, they removed the limbs for me. Making the process easier and saving me time. 3. Their craftsmanship is solid. They built everything to the exact standards we asked and the fence will be very strong for years to come. I even like that they used stronger building materials than described in the estimate for stress points of the fence. 4. They take ownership of errors. It's a long story, but during the build, the team blew a breaker causing our occupant to believe something was wrong with the washing machine. She called a service person who charged her $70 to turn the breaker back on. When Earl found out about it, he reimbursed the $70. All in all, I recommend them as a quality contractor for building fences.

I felt that he listened to my ideas and was able to dovetail with some great ideas of his own, making the finished project amazing. We had Bryce enclose a 70 X 60' area for a huge vegetable garden that needed to be safe from deer and other animals as much as possible. The design included two gates, a 4 foot gate and a 6 foot gate, and a bump out that would create an entrance into the garden. My original idea was to make my garden fence out of pressure-treated wood, but after talking with Bryce and finding out that his specialty is welding and working with oil pipe, which is a look I love but thought it was unattainable, I quickly switched ideas to what Bryce was offering and it turned out beautifully. Next, we had Bryce work on an arbor for our front walk that bakes in the afternoon sun. I had an idea that I wasn't sure could work, but Bryce made it work and made it look really cool. The pictures do not show the finished product yet, because the posts will be clad 3 foot up in River rock to match the front of the house. We loved working with Bryce and look forward to having him do more oil pipe magic for our landscape. Bryce always dealt with us honestly and very reasonably. We couldn't be happier with the result.

Every neighbor that walked by commented on how lovely the new fence looked. His estimate was spot on and he made us aware of any concerns he had along the way. For example the gate screws were not the correct kind or placed correctly and he changed them so the gate is now very secure. He was willing to seal the fence so it doesn't warp in the sun and heat. His estimate came in much lower than any of the other estimates we received and his work was stellar.

I incorrectly assumed the hourly rate would fall within the parameters of a reasonable rate for an unlicensed handyman. Our bill for 15 hours of work was nearly $2,000 (minus some materials and small trailer rental) with a fixed hourly rate of $130 per hour. Although I appreciate George helping us out with our list of miscellaneous handyman items, we would not have proceeded with the work had we known that the hourly rate was so high.

But then as we talked a discovered he also fabricated really fine fencing, gates and even custom bbq's, smokers and off-road bumpers. They are not a full service shop, so they won't weld on any piece of broken steel you have, but their custom iron work is unmatched.
