If you would have asked me to review M&C Drywall a year and a half ago when they did my first job; I would have given them 5 stars. I was very happy with their workmanship and recommended them to several other people. Because of their good work; I hired them to do another job at my home this past December, which consisted of patching drywall after construction work was done and skim coating of a 500 square foot room in my home. Due to this job, I will not consider hiring them again and would not recommend them to others.
We had several delays do to the workers not showing up 3 different times. Though the texture they do is excellent; they cut many corners and were too lazy to remove a few light switch covers and light fixtures. They removed some, but chose to mud around the others, so now I have permanent indentations if I should want to change up my fixtures to a different size or shape. Strangely enough, they removed some eye bolts in my ceiling that were recently installed, when they were told point blank not to remove them and instead tape them off. We even hung a sign up on the eye bolts themselves and they still removed them. They also put a dehumidifier of mine out in the rain instead of putting a drop cloth over it as I had specified. The dehumidifier was then ruined and I deducted the price of it off my total.
The hangers did not do a thorough job either, missing some patches entirely and doing a crap job on others.
The worst part was one of the workers came to my home later to retrieve the broken humidifier, since I wanted to deduct it from my total bill, and started mouthing off to me and accusing me of telling him and his partner to leave it outside in the rain!
Bottom line: They do great texture, but they cut corners and the babysitting and inconvenience is not worth it. We will be hiring another company next time that was highly recommended to us by a friend. read more
