That line is line 8, which was a line I don't recall ever using until I stayed near the military school. It does serve a few useful areas (Bastille, Republique, Opera and Concorde for example) but I guess my unfamiliarity with the line means that unless you are actually staying on the line, then there is usually a better way

GLAD TO BE ALIVE…read more.. Only the second time ever on a public subway system, first time was in NYC and then today. I had to take two metro subways tonight to get from the Seine River to my final destination in Montparnassee and what a hectic experience it was. I noticed that the subway car was filled to the max as it approached, which drew an immediate concern. I basically had twenty seconds from the doors opening to the doors closing as riders entered and exited. Sadly the doors pressed onto my chest as the subway began moving. In an insane moment, I pushed with all my might sqeezing myself inside pushing everyone forward. Cant believe what I just experienced and glad to be alive. The subway was at least clean and on time.

We produced our…read moreticket, the first guy said we were good to go, and the second guy then said the ticket was invalid and we had to pay a 35 euro fine on the spot. They had official uniforms so we were forced to pay - total scam. Definitely contesting the charge on my credit card. The worst part is their utter disrespect - these guys were on a power trip, screaming, with spittle flying all over the place. These rent-a-cops need to be put in their place. Paris Metro, reign in your horrible staff.

Review of station not the service…read more Conveniently located down the street from the US Embassy. On the edge of Tuileries Gardens. Near the lion statue that has bullet holes in it from a war. A long leisurely stroll from the Louvre. Off the Place de la Concorde traffic circle. Part word search, part crossword puzzle can't be sure. Even with my lack of French I still try to form words! Clean. It's a busy station. Beware of pickpockets is sometimes announced. Tourist tip - just be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine.

We are tourists from the USA and we were 'harassed' by Metro train officials to comply with the ID…read morerequirement for the weekly train pass/card which we bought when we arrived at the airport. As tourists, I think we should have been given a pass or second chance on the non-compliance for this ID requirement (cut a 1x1 picture and stick it in the Metro Card). It's just our 2nd day in Paris and at the Trocadero station there was a random check on the train customers including us. We explained that we just arrived yesterday and didn't get/know that we need to put an ID and explained that the person we bought the card didn't tell us that we need it. We're tourists and the card is only valid up to Sunday (so 4 days) and each of have our own card (4 total) but then we get $35 euro charge each card for this non compliance. what a terrible thing to do for Tourists in Paris and isnt this a good message for the 2024 Olympics visitors and any tourists visiting Paris, France. I think the person who sold us these weekly tickets should have the ability/system to take our photos and stick it in the card. I also question the legitimacy of the Metro resources to check on these cards, what a waste, I actually didn't read that the penalty for non-compliance is $35Euro. If I knew I would have done it right away and used a photo booth to take ID pictures. Or better yet Just invest the money to pay for the Metro 'auditors' to have cameras to take photos for the tourists. I think it's unfair to sell these cards without the photos and yet Métro has resources to check on non compliance. Tourists BEWARE. They should return the Euro$35 penalty for each card collected. These Metro 'collectors' were also very rude and not nice to us tourists. It was also an awful experience for my kids.

It might not seem as bad if it was in the ghetto! Is it because it's named after a former king of England that they don't care if it falls into disrepair? Would it be in condition if had remained under the name Alma as it was known until 1920? More likely is that some kind of improvement work has been started, but until it's completed this station is simply a dump. It is a handy station, half way down the Champs. It has only 1 line but it is the extremely useful line 1 that runs west to east and errthe other way across Paris. Its relevance has increased in recent time with the rise of the business district around La Defense.

From here you can access the Métro 1, 2, and 6 lines as well as the RER A train. The station exits right at L'Arc de Triomphe and Av. des Champs-Élysées! There were plenty of signage all throughout the station so it was impossible to get lost.

I actually hurried down here because despite a wander through the Tulieries being quite a pleasant experience. Anyway, this is a station that pretty much runs from the Louvre all the way up to La Defense, and the Avenue Champs d'Elysee. Like most of the stations on the metro, it isn't all that deep, meaning that getting to the platform is pretty quick.

The other car services would arrive a little late, and not be entirely accurate in their description of your ride. They would send information about the car and driver you would have, but then have someone different using a different vehicle to pick you up. Easy Go was 100% accurate. I would definitely book with them every time and request for Sabi.
