I spent quite a lot of time transiting through the metro on a recent business trip to Paris with my fiancee. While he worked, I explored the town and this time, I took the metro everywhere!
Easy to navigate and this is a very busy Metro stop/station. You can connect to almost anything and anywhere here and it's one of the closest stops to the Louvre so you'll be using it plenty if you are going to sightsee.
Metros are mostly on time and well run and I am always amazed by the efficiency and affordability of inner city travel in Europe when I am in town.
You can use a self-serve kiosk to buy a one-way single-use ticket or can walk to the window and purchase a book of tickets or month pass. Prices are more than fair - like 1.90 euros one way all over town. read more
