Shout out to this south side venue…read more.. Last night this place served as a fantastic venue to hold the U.S. Army MEDCoE Holiday Ball. Plenty of room for over 600 guests. When you come in there was plenty of room in the foyer. Enough space to do the receiving line on one end, a social hour in the middle, and a line for the photos. The A/V was high end and the bar was accessible. The A/V team was staged in the back (towards your entrance) facing the stage. They had more than 64 tables arrayed into quadrants so that there was room in the middle for a dance floor. The bar was plenty stocked, and the mixologists were capable enough to serve their beer, wines, and pre-mixed drinks. Touch less payment was available. The food was okay. The team serving the food was super friendly and responsive if they missed something. Plenty of clean bathrooms around the site. Plenty of parking around. Traffic there was lighter than anything north of the city. I would recommend this facility for big events. Fun times.

Carly, Kat, Paul, forgive me if I forgot your name! $60, Choose Your Own from their Gallery online, otherwise Choose Your Own with Personalization (Family Name, Family Member Names, Surname, Children's Names, Couple Names, etcetera). BYOB & BYOG (Grub). 2 hour class typically, but sometimes have to stay late! (When your are a perfectionist.) I had a better time here + was more satisfied with the finished product than when Paint & Sip classes. Likely due to the fact that the pieces are much more personalizable, plus takes less inherent artistic talent for inept artists like me. You can of course see great representations in their Gallery section online, but if you are by chance in the area before choosing, seeing them in person is always a better perspective. Also need to book at least 72 hours in advance so they can prepare your stencil. Had the price been a bit less, I would do this a few times a year! (That might be a tad much to ask, unfortunately!) Whatever you do, the No. One rule is to have a fest of fun, a gaggle of giggles, and loads of laughs. They make that easy to do here!

This is a cute little hole-in-the-wall, black box theater that brings an intimate look into the…read moretheatrical productions it produces. The theater itself is attached to the Woodlawn Theater and shares restroom facilities with the Woodlawn. Running a separate series of smaller shows, the Classic Theater offers a theater-in-the-round experience with the audience seated on all sides of the theater which can allow audience interaction with the professional cast. The seating is comfortable, but you'll need the intermission to get up and stretch your legs as the chairs can get a tad uncomfortable. The theater also allows no outside food or drinks, but does have water and wine for donation (at least this was during the show we attended). Overall, the cast was excellent in Midsummer Night's Dream. They brought a refreshing perspective and performance for Shakespeare's work, which truly showed why Shakespeare should be consumed in theatrical form rather than reading, and the acting was intimate and, yet, bombastic at the same time. The cast really showed skill and thought with each word spoken, and they brought the characters to life while leaving themselves behind. With the theater-in-the-round, they worked the entire room as well as made me feel that the show was put on solely for me. I had had that same sense of disbelief in quite a long time during a theatrical production. The quality of the production also showed. Even though it seemed like a relatively low budget affair, it wasn't lacking the quality of a truly great show. My husband and I are already planning our time back to enjoy another production and we look forward to becoming regular patrons of the arts at the Classic.
