Took my (almost) 5 year old twins to the dentist for the very first. I knew this day would come. It…read morecame sooner than I thought. I was afraid for a couple of reasons. First, my kids eat like shit. Not gonna lie. I mean, they eat plenty of vegetables and lots of healthy food too. But we own a 7 Eleven, soooooo you can imagine what that's like. I try to bribe good behavior out of them by offering all kinds of treats from the store. Their faves: Kinder eggs, donuts and M&Ms. Sure es we brush twice daily but I let's just say I wasn't getting any Mom of the Year awards. I was sure they would find critters living in my kids' teeth. My second concern was my one twin who is afraid of his own shadow. I knew it was going to be hell to pay to get him to sit in that dentist's chair. I already pictured it in my head: writhing in fake agony, screaming bloody murder when they attach the bib around his neck, telling "noooo, noooo" off the top of his lungs at the sound of a drill. Ughh...poor kid. That must be awful to be that scared at virtually nothing. Luckily for me and my twins, though, there wasn't one scary thing about this office. The staff are so incredibly warm, loving, gentle and understanding. They took their time, explained everything to the kiddos and even let them touch some of the tools. My kids actually seemed to be enjoying it! Dr. Ryan is the absolute most gentle person around small children. Such a mild demeanor, very pleasant tone, and always happy to engage a 4 year old in a stimulating conversation about trains and dinosaurs. My little guy felt so proud of himself after the appointment for being a brave boy but really, it was everyone in that office that made him brave. Thank you!

I cannot say enough positive things about Pediatric Dentistry in the Gardens. No exaggeration here:…read moreI have yet to come across a team of pediatric care professionals that go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of not only the children they treat but their parents as well. To be more specific, my 2 year old recently underwent dental procedures via IV sedation (due to his young age and nature of work being done) in office. As any parent may feel anxious about their young child receiving IV anesthesia (administered by a pediatric anesthesiologist), Dr. Ryan Owaski and his team were incredibly open to answer any questions and to address concerns I had regarding both the procedure and sedation process. If anything, I felt they encouraged and welcomed them. Their genuine desire to ensure I was educated and understood everything I wanted to (and should) know regarding my child's procedure did wonders in placing me at ease. This gave me the confidence that my child was under the best care not only for his dental work but for anesthesia as well. Furthermore, Michelle from the front was so kind and eager to help with insurance related matters (reimbursement for services that were not part of our plan's benefit coverage), providing important patient education, and making sure I was comfortable during my child's procedure. She even provided us with a post procedure follow up call. Unfortunately, like many of us, I've had my fair share of poor patient care service which is why her genuine willingness to help meant all that much more. To wrap this novel-length review up, not only is Dr. Ryan's bedside manner top-notch, he is highly skilled at his work (as evidenced by the outcome of my child's successful procedure). He was also highly responsive when I reached out to him after hours about a post procedural related question. As you can see, my children and I are quite fond of this practice. If anyone is looking for a pediatric dentist, including those with special needs, I cannot recommend Pediatric Dentistry in the Gardens enough. They are THE way to go!! Thank you to everyone there!!

Yes, it's time for my third update. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I cannot thank this patient…read morestaff enough. Every single time, they bring on extreme patience, compassion, and smiles in setting fraught with anxiety: children's dentistry. My youngest son recently completed some intense dental work that he needed, which went beautifully the first visit and more difficult the second visit. The entire time I cringed internally and was so impressed with how wonderfully the staff members spoke with my child. By the third visit, my son was more wiser to what was going to happen and after attempting the original plan just did not work, the awesomely kind and wonderful dentist gave me some different options for how to proceed. I chose a middle ground and we went for it, and they powered through some difficult moments, but I felt very confident in knowing that my child was not actually being hurt. It is not easy to watch your child struggle and cry, but my trust in these people is very high. And it worked! After a few tense minutes, the work was done and my son sat up and immediately wanted to play video games. Yes, they have a side room inside the office where kids can play old school nintendo, and my kids luckily mostly identify their visits with getting to play video games, and the treat they get on the way out. The also always awesome front desk staff explained on our way out that we should consider coming in not during an appointment, especially after halloween, to let the office buy back my kids halloween candy, and experience the office when they don't have to get dental work done. Brilliant! So glad she mentioned this. THANK YOU!

From having a real person with a friendly voice answer the phone to an actual tour of their small office to the way they treated my kids, this is the most professional and most kid-friendly office so have ever been to. First, they have an actual arcade machine in the lobby as well as a TV AND iPads with games to keep kids occupied while waiting... and filling out paperwork. They have celebration walls of kids who lose a tooth or have good no cavities! TV's overhead while they get their teeth cleaned and toys at the end. They were on time and super friendly the entire time. I appreciate the respect they treated the kids with the entire time, and the hygienists out my toddler so at ease that she didn't complain about x-rays! Dr. Sal introduced himself well before having to see my kids, and he was thorough and clear with his assessments and recommendations. So glad I found this place!

I finally took the plunge, and we went to South Florida Dentistry today. The experience was entirely positive, minus the three new cavities found in my LO's mouth! At first sight the building is this quaint Keys style home, and everything inside follows that theme. The staff at the front were extremely friendly, as were the hygienists that completed my kids' cleanings. The interior of the building is very clean and fresh appearing and they have the cutest clocks (see photos to appreciate). The dentist was extremely approachable and personable, and ensured I understood that the dentists were on call 24-7 for any emergencies. Pricing was very upfront - which I appreciate as I have personally had an unpleasant experience with changing costs in the past. I was very happy with the level of care my kids received, and I feel confident our visits for the cavities will go equally as well.

I was recently recommended to an endodontists for my daughter who needed a root canal and we could not have asked for a better endodontist , Dr Melanie sent us to the best. The front desk staff at south florida dentistry is amazing from start to finish, always welcoming and professional. This is hands down the best dental office in South Florida, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are a true gem, and I hope they are cherished forever! Thank you I will forever be grateful to you and you staff!
