First, my kids eat like shit. Not gonna lie. I mean, they eat plenty of vegetables and lots of healthy food too. But we own a 7 Eleven, soooooo you can imagine what that's like. I try to bribe good behavior out of them by offering all kinds of treats from the store. Their faves: Kinder eggs, donuts and M&Ms. Sure es we brush twice daily but I let's just say I wasn't getting any Mom of the Year awards. I was sure they would find critters living in my kids' teeth. My second concern was my one twin who is afraid of his own shadow. I knew it was going to be hell to pay to get him to sit in that dentist's chair. I already pictured it in my head: writhing in fake agony, screaming bloody murder when they attach the bib around his neck, telling "noooo, noooo" off the top of his lungs at the sound of a drill. Ughh...poor kid. That must be awful to be that scared at virtually nothing. Luckily for me and my twins, though, there wasn't one scary thing about this office. The staff are so incredibly warm, loving, gentle and understanding. They took their time, explained everything to the kiddos and even let them touch some of the tools. My kids actually seemed to be enjoying it! Dr. Ryan is the absolute most gentle person around small children. Such a mild demeanor, very pleasant tone, and always happy to engage a 4 year old in a stimulating conversation about trains and dinosaurs. My little guy felt so proud of himself after the appointment for being a brave boy but really, it was everyone in that office that made him brave. Thank you!

I was referred to her practice due to a dental emergency, I…read morehad a permanent bottom retainer that was installed over 20 years ago in my hometown in MN and it finally broke 3 days before I needed to go out of town, and I didn't have a local south Florida Orthodontist. I was told Dr. Welch is the best of the best, so I didn't mind driving 1 hr 15 min each way to see her. I called Dr. Welch's office hoping to get an appointment before I went out of town but wasn't too optimistic as other offices told me it would take over a week to get an appointment, make an impression, wait a week for the retainer to be made before it could be installed. To my surprise, Dr. Welch was able to not only get me in for an appointment before my trip, but she installed a new permanent lower retainer the same day! And she made me an additional retainer that was ready the following day, as she was able to make them in house instead of having to send out to a lab to be created. I was blown away not only by her incredible care and service, but she and her entire team are extremely personable and really listened to me, and gave me options for my retainer replacement. I wish I had more reasons to go to her office other than retainer repairs/replacements, that's how amazing my experience was. I will definitely be referring others to her for their orthodontic needs! There is minimal wait time to be called back when you first arrive for your appointment. Mimi, the surgical assistant, is very knowledgeable, thorough, and patient, and is concerned about your comfort. She will answer any questions about any treatments you have as well as to provide demonstrations if needed. The doctor is well accomplished and efficient; he will do your treatment in an expedited timeframe but not in a rush. He follows up with any post surgical treatment and encourages communication during off hours if a problem were to arise.I came in without any bite on my back teeth as well as misalignment, due to previous sloppy treatment from a different provider and lack of personal attention. After corrected treatment with Dr.Josephs, and with minimal discomfort, I was able to bite comfortably and with confidence. Cosmetically there is no comparison to any previous treatment that I've ever had. It enhanced my smile confidence! I would highly recommend this practice and I recommend that you read his weekly news paper posts in the Palm Beach Post as the posts are very informative. Knowing that you're going to a provider that practices what they preach like eating healthy and working out, reinforces the importance of oral attention in your quest for optimal health.

Has your child ever gone through something traumatic--something that, had you been given the chance…read moreto intervene, you would have stopped ? That is exactly what happened to my daughter here. And a month later, my stomach still turns when I think about it. From the very beginning, something never felt right. My motherly instincts always told me that the setup in this office was off. Children--including toddlers--are encouraged to go alone into an "open room" full of other kids to receive treatment, while parents are required to remain in the waiting room until everything is finished. Yes, there are private rooms, but only two children at a time are allowed to use them with a parent present--so if you have more than two kids, you're forced to split appointments across multiple days. I never felt comfortable sending my 2- or 3-year-old alone, so in the 2 visits we had here, I used a private room with her. But my older girls, ages 7/8 and 9/10, went into the open room together without me--because we were told that was the policy and that parents were not allowed to check on their children due to "HIPAA privacy." I've never heard such a justification at any other pediatric dental practice, and it never sat right with me. And then came the day everything confirmed those fears. On this particular visit, my 10-year-old daughter went in as usual while I stayed with my younger child. When the appointment finally ended and I was allowed back, I immediately saw that she was visibly shaken and had tears in her eyes from crying. I immediately asked if she was okay and asked the doctor what happened. The doctor casually told me that my daughter "lost a tooth during the cleaning." Which I didn't believe, So I said that I was unaware that her tooth was loose enough to pull since my husband checks it every night. But once in the safety of out car, away from the pressure and the eyes watching her, my daughter broke down and told me the truth: Her tooth did not just fall out. A hygienist used a tool and pulled it out with no topical anesthesia ; a tooth that was loose but not ready to come out on its own. They never sought my consent. They never informed me. They simply decided to do an extraction on a frightened 10-year-old child, alone in a room where parents are intentionally kept out. For a child who already struggles with trust around doctors and dentists, this was more than a misunderstanding--it was a betrayal. She felt scared, powerless, and misled. And as her mother, knowing this happened while I was feet away yet barred from checking on her is something that is so infuriating. This entire structure--isolating children, refusing parental access during treatment , minimizing or concealing what actually happens during treatment--creates an environment where this kind of incident becomes possible. I did speak with the clinical manager MJ right after the appointment and told her that I was very dissatisfied and very upset with how everything went . I was also charged for a tooth extraction on my bill even though they continued to stick with their story that the tooth just fell out. I also spoke to MJ through email hours later when my daughter's extraction sight kept bleeding and was not cloating. I did ask for the Dentist to give me a call because I was worried , but she never did, and never has . So I feel that I have done what I needed to do before leaving this review. Families trust pediatric providers with their most vulnerable little humans. This practice broke that trust with my daughter and me. Please don't let it happen to you.

I believe I have finally found the one. Dr. Benson and his office staff were all very kind and respectful and answered all of my questions without hesitation. The staff returned my calls almost immediately and got me in for an appointment quickly. Dr. Benson will truly listen to all of your questions and take extra time making sure you feel comfortable and understand everything. His personality is also just amazing. He lights up the room when he walks in. If you're someone like me, who has felt anxiety about going to the dentist, having a provider who is a happy & caring dentist will change your whole experience. All of the fees and billing were made very clear from the beginning with no mysterious fees added afterward. In fact, I ended up paying less than originally quoted. The office itself was exceptionally clean and the waiting area was comfortable. The dentistry chair I was in had a lovely view and was rather relaxing. I loved that I was able to pick a movie to watch, which was the Santa clause. The joyous movie in addition to the considerate and relatively gentle approach Dr. Benson takes with his procedures left me with no discomfort at my visit.
