This review is to warn others about Drain Masters practices, poor owner/mngt communication and lack…read moreof training their technician to trouble shoot a non issue yet because of poor training and lack of understanding simple operating procedures drain masters made it into one and were going to charge me 1100 dollars for a perfectly good working control unit on my septic tank. Called drain masters to pump all 3 of my tanks. That went well. While doing so the red alarm light came on and remained on. Ok so far. It was discovered that I had a bad float. They came back out and replaced the floats. Still everything is ok except the red alarm light was still on. This is where the bottom fell out. The technician then tried to trouble shoot it by opening the control box and trying to figure out the problem. Had he been trained correctly he would have known the #2 tank water level was below the pipe. Once water fills up over the bottom of the pipe the suction turns the light out which was demonstrated to me by the good folks that installed my septic tank by unscrewing the pipe in tank 2 and putting his hand over the pipe to stop the air from getting in. When he did that the red light went out and all is good. The control box was in perfect working order yet because of the lack of this simple knowledge they wanted to replace the box which still would not have fixed the alarm light until the water rose. Had my contractor not noticed the red light and come over to talk to me I would have been out another 1100 dollars. This lack of knowledge from a company that has been in business as long as drain masters has is completely unacceptable and down right criminal. In conclusion after a couple of days when the water rose the red alarm light did extinguish. I am absolutely dumb founded by this lack of knowledge and to think they had the audacity to try to replace a perfectly good working control box out of ignorance!

Unlike every other plumbing company I've ever used or tried to use in Fort Smith they are professional and customer oriented. Leron is great. He took a list of problems we had that included items other plumbers had botched or were just too lazy to complete and finished them one by one. He listened to our concerns and explained his process for each item. This is the level of service all companies in any industry should strive to reach. WARNING TO ALL! Do not choose this company for plumbing, call someone else!!! . I had an absolutely…read moreterrible experience. I called for an estimate on plumbing work, very ordinary . I had a nice gentleman come out, view all the work and took extensive photos of the fixtures to make sure everything needed was there to do the job. It was, and he said expect your quote to be sent to your email- okay, still all good. I call the next day, ask if the quote was ready, the woman who answered the phone said it was and sent it over. Everything was still great. I got it, read it, it listed all the work for 2700.00. I agreed and signed digitally to accept the bid. Then I called and scheduled the work- they were to come the next day at 8:00am, so far, so good- everything is going well, people are friendly. Then.... it all becomes like a bait and switch- The woman who scheduled the work for the next day calls me back to say I need to speak to the manager, the price is not right. And I responded , Okay, I'm good if it's cheaper but I SIGNED A CONTRACT for your estimate and scheduled- she just said she would have the manager call me. And then he did, almost THREE TIMES the accepted quote, and he was very "Sorry", but the estimate, signed contract, and scheduled installation was really not priced right. It went from 2700 to almost 8K- I feel like this was predatory business practices. They made everything sound great, made ME sign a contract to accept the quote, scheduled the work and then raised the price that much for the same job, same work, and say "Sorry". And when I asked why did they not honor the contract, the manager told me, they don't have to- in small print it says they can change anything at anytime if they want. They lured me in with a low price only to raise it exponentially, and "Sorry" doesn't make it right . If they were an honest business, and truly made an "in house" mistake- the company eats it and honors their word because it's what they offered at a given price. This is shady, bottom line. Clearly I will never do business with a company like this who has predatory pricing practices like this for me, their consumer. And the manager telling me he is sorry was just infuriating- he wasn't sorry at all. This felt planned to me , not good at all. I hope potential customers looking for a plumber in the Ft. Smith area look elsewhere so you don't have to waste your time, or worse fall for these pricing tactics.
