This practice seems to bite off more than it can chew. I've been a patience for about 3 years,…read moresince leaving home for university. Although I am a patient of Dr. Knafo, I've only spoken to her 3 of the minimum 9 times I had appointments. The other visits I was seen by two other female doctors. Now this isn't a big issue if you are going for smaller concerns like check ups and well woman exams but I had a continuous stomach issue that the lack of consistency in visits very negatively effected. I ran the same tests multiple times and explained the same symptoms/reactions to the doctors each visit and we ran in circles. I understand this is a family practice and not a specialist, but at some point it's up to the doctors to admit they don't know and refer me to someone else. It took a year of this before I broke down crying and begged for them to refer me. I would like to commend Dr. Knafo on what she is TRYING to do. When I did get to meet with her she was very caring and serious about my mental health. ( I have anxiety and depression ) Although, I believe this effected her judgement a little too much, I often felt like she wouldn't take my other physical health concerns seriously until I started taking medication as she strongly urged for me to start taking lexipro whenever I saw her. I've been doing well with my mental health, and would often express to her the reason behind my being so wound up and on the verge of tears in her office is because I was a 19 year old college student battling a mystery issue and running the same tests every visit. Making appointments is easy, everything else over the phone is hit or miss depending on if they feel like taking your call at that time.

Today I went to get an IV. I wanted to use the app rewards (that they previously told me to sign up…read morefor and that they advertise all over the office). But because I was on an old membership system (that they haven't transitioned over and reconciled with their new system) then they informed me even if they could add my membership to the new system that if you have membership you CANNOT use the app rewards because that would be too much of a discount. They then asked if I wanted to cancel my current membership to be on their new system and I'd have to pay my membership cost again even though I already paid this month. As I don't think it's my job to switch my membership over when they changed systems I told them I'd wait until they could do it themselves. After all this I still decided to get an IV because I've been feeling under the weather. Usually they do the iv insertion in the relaxing iv rooms but today they brought me into a back room. When I told the girl my preferred arm she gasped and said your veins are so tiny. She then requested to use the other arm because she couldn't find the vein in my preferred arm. She then stabbed my arm and missed the vein. She tried to wiggle the needle around in my arm (it feels as awful as it sounds) and then said oh nope this one won't take. I then politely told her I was done and wanted to leave. She didn't nor see me experience or capable of finding my veins ... which was not reassuring. I do have small veins but I've never had an issue like this before. On top of feeling sick I wasted time figuring out their new system only for them to be unable and unqualified to give me an IV. I would not recommend going here and plan to cancel my membership. The last thing you need when you are sick is a sore arm from a failed IV

They have since expanded by adding many knowledgable and caring professionals who provide a myriad of services. I have had the best care with them, and prefer the to "traditional" medical doctors. They are very thorough and have always had several options for treatment for me. When I have had injuries, my treatment was 2-3 times a week for several weeks, which was necessary for correction of the injury. I have had my knee injury corrected with PRP therapy with them, and am currently on a full body maintenance program - 1 visit every other week. My insurance no longer covers my treatment with them, and I could be covered elsewhere, but I choose to remain under the care of the professionals there. I highly recommend them.
