The severe pain in my mouth included with chewing, ulcers inside my mouth and infection of the jaws. I was on soft diet for several weeks and Tylenol with no relief. My PCP at Tryon Medical Partners at Pineville location had retired and saw, Dr. David Colon in Pineville. Had the office visit and he prescribed two medications. Upon receiving a statement that I owed $274.93 because this was dental and not covered, routine visit was billed and not covered . I contacted his office trying to figure out the problem with the codes after speaking with Medicare. The code was incorrect per them and if the visit was Medically Necessary should had been covered. Talked with billing and said the code was changed but it was not, only the wording. It was denied because of diagnostic code and he would not change it. If your sick and feel you need medical care for healing, what are you supposed to do?? I felt like was deem it a necessary visit as I left with 2 RX and was sick for weeks with infection. I still have not heard from them except a statement in the mail for payment and his assistant said through MyChart, he would change the code so that my payment would be LESS. Still waiting. Now I am afraid to go to a PCP doctor afraid I will be stuck with another bill! I feel like as a Retired- Senior Citizen I am being taken advantage of and have this my financial responsibility. STAY AWAY FROM HIM UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY OUT OF POCKET WHEN YOU HAVE MEDICARE AND SUPPLEMENT COVERAGE TO PAY FOR YOUR VISIT. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If I could post a 0, I would do that.

Afterwards I scheduled to have a consultation with him. Going to his office, I was amazed at the atmosphere. I enjoyed meeting the office attendant and getting settled to speak with Dr. Akiba Green. One thing I admired is that he listens. He listened to me speak about all the aches, pains, and concerns that have built up. He addressed many options we can use with functional medicine to find out what has been throwing my body out of whack. We had two consultations until my fiancé and I decided to put working with him on hold due to major life events occurring for us (We are getting married this year) and my inability to afford it out of pocket without enduring major financial stress. They have a payment options which is wonderful for others that are able to do so. That being said, I was reluctant to further work with Dr. Green because I personally had to decide on what financially would benefit my family this year. If you're interested to find out more about Dr. Green then schedule a consultation and introduce yourself. I do think if you're truly willing to invest in your health and have the means to do so that you'll be impressed with the knowledge he was accumulated over the years. You do have options and Dr. Green along will his staff will endorse that.

I have been a patient of Dr. Minette's for, at least, five years now. I initially went to see her…read morefor my chronic migraines, thinking I'd tried just about everything else, why not naturopathic treatment? Best decision I ever made. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Minette, I was concurrently seeing my ninth neurologist. All the different pharmaceutical cocktails I have taken over the years, dietary changes, "my (insert relationship here) takes this, that, and the other thing" trial & errors, did absolutely nothing to get to the root cause of my migraines. They didn't touch the frequency, or intensity, of the migraines. I was having 4-5 migraines a week. They were so bad, I can remember lying there praying for death. Fortunately that was not my fate. Dr. Minette is absolutely the best. Every time I talk to her, I feel like we could be the best of friends. She asks a plethora of questions so she can approach your treatment in a manner that is going to give you the best results. There may be some tweaking along the way, which you would experience in conventional medicine, as well. She doesn't push remedies and/or products on you that you can only purchase from her. Often times she'll email me a link from a website where I might be able to get what I need at a lower cost, or with an expedited shipping. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, right? Within the first year of being treated by Dr. Minette, my migraines decreased in frequency & intensity; to the point where I have been sustaining 1-2 migraines in a month at a decreased frequency, as opposed to the 4-5 migraines in a week before treatment. I honestly can't remember the last time I filled my pharmaceutical migraine medication. I recently relocated to the Houston, TX area and was quite stressed at the thought of having to find a new ND. Fortunately Dr. Minette is able to continue my treatment via phone consult and email. I, of course, can't guarantee that would be the same for everyone, but I am so grateful that I can continue receiving care from Dr. Minette.
