My 11 year old…read moredog has Chronic Heart Failure and I was taking him in to have an emergency procedure at the vet , but needed to get a replacement leash quickly before I took him in . There was a woman who helped me as I carried my sick dog . She showed kindness and caring . She personally got everything I needed for me and helped me . I was really sad and scared for my dog and this staff showed true compassion and helped me when I needed it. It really made a difference. I wish I caught her name . I was in a car accident a few months ago and have a herniated disc in my neck, and two pinched nerves with bulging discs in my back, plus I twisted my knee a couple of days ago on top of that. So I've been in a lot of pain and was really hurting and stressed out. This is going to be a long story, but I want you to understand there were some serious extenuating circumstances to my rude review. I was meeting some prior very special students of mine from Bakersfield, who I rarely get to see, and who had taken the train to visit me at the Renaissance Faire. They were only going to be here for a little while, as they were taking the train back home at 2:30 pm, so I was REALLY struggling to get ready to meet them (it's really hard to get dressed quickly when you're in all of this pain ). Then I tried to get in my car and I realized my knee had gotten so swollen I couldn't get it to bend enough to do that. So then I was really freaked out. I have a wonderful private driver I use now and then when my car is in the shop or I have to go to the train station, and I called him but he was on an out-of-town pick-up and couldn't get to me quickly. So I tried three more people and was really frustrated that no one answered their phone. So that's the state of mind I was in Michelle, when I wrote that review, and I apologize and thank you for your quick response. Attention pet owners!…read more I want to give you all a heads up about the Canine Comfort Creek...... My wife took two of our dogs in for grooming yesterday. When she came to pick them up she saw one of our dogs in the kennel with another strange dog. That's concerning enough, but then they tried to hand her the strange dog and said that that was our dog. When my wife said no, that's not our dog, they said, are you sure? As though we're not going to know our own dog. They even put our dog's collar on the wrong dog. After a few moments someone brought our dog out from the back, not wearing a collar, they apologized, but that's it. There's so many things that could have gone wrong in this situation. Our dog could have been picked up by anyone disreputable enough to leave their own dog behind. Could have gone to a dog fighter, or an elderly lady with poor eyesight could have picked her up and taken her home not realizing the difference. Not to mention the fact that they put our dog in a kennel with an unfamiliar dog, we don't know that dog, that dog could have parvo for all we know, or it could have been aggressive, or have fleas and ticks, any number of things could have happened in that kennel because of their mistake. This is not acceptable and needs to be brought to the attention of the public. I would exercise extreme caution using that particular company's service.

She has growled at me and attempted to bite at me and the tools. I consulted with a dog trainer who recommended Canine Comfort Creek. When speaking of my concerns with Terry over the phone, she was helpful and assured me that they were confident to give Skye a try and will continue to try even if it didn't work out the first time. When we arrived, Terry and Steven were very welcoming. Even though Skye growled and resisted going to the back, they recommended we leave lol which was the best thing. Haha. Steven did an amazing job on her. We asked that he shave her down and she looks so good and clean. My husband even called to see how she was doing and Terry gave him an update on her progress. When my husband picked her up, she was so happy and didn't seem overwhelmed at all. Thank you Canine Comfort Creek with a super shoutout to Steven, for caring for Skye and for us too! Hehe. I'm so relaxed now knowing that we have a place for Skye to get groomed.
