I asked for a modern "mullet" (just a little longer in the back) with faded sides and he gave me one of the coolest haircuts I've ever had. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because aside from Melvin the other barbers here seem to come and go, often the wait time can be a little long.

He appeared unfamiliar with techniques and wording such as proper layering, undercuts, taper fades and sideburn shaping. After I explained the difference in haircut from the reference video, he attributed the outcome to the client wanting to resemble the model rather than adapting the cut using appropriate techniques. The barber also used vulgar wording when provided feedback, I am hoping for more professionalism in an open family-friendly shop! He was also unwilling to review short reference videos provided by the client and instead wanted to get over it fast. He pointed me away from the mirror so I wouldn't look at his lack of skill until the end. I'm hoping to have a better experience with the Korean staff and will provide an update afterward.
