Business is good and he stays fairly busy. From my experience, a typical wait to get to the chair is about 15 minutes but even on a busy day, I've never waited more than 45 minutes. The conversation can get pretty interesting, guaranteed to not be politically correct, not many places around like this anymore and that's why I like it! After I explained the difference in haircut from the reference video, he attributed the outcome to the client wanting to resemble the model rather than adapting the cut using appropriate techniques. The barber also used vulgar wording when provided feedback, I am hoping for more professionalism in an open family-friendly shop! He was also unwilling to review short reference videos provided by the client and instead wanted to get over it fast. He pointed me away from the mirror so I wouldn't look at his lack of skill until the end. I'm hoping to have a better experience with the Korean staff and will provide an update afterward.

I only ever expect a cut, so my first time there was interesting! She did the cut well, and followed with the massage that only usually comes at higher end places (in my experience). I make it a point to only go here for a cut. All guys know how hard it is to find a barber who does a cut the way they like, and when you find that one, you stick with that one. She trimmed hair in my ears, eye brows, nose, mustache, used hot lather and straight razor in back and around my ears. After taking her time cutting my hair, and all of the above, she massaged my scalp and then used a vibrating hand massager to go over my shoulders and surrounding areas. The lady cutting my hair was polite, friendly and respectful. She was careful not to upset me, although that would have been hard to do! I can't think of anything she could have done better!
