I have to be clear that this review is solely on the customer service of Lynne's Electrolysis and not the service as I was never able to have any electrolysis done. I first emailed Lynne last month to find out how I could set up an appointment. We went back and forth about best days and I explained to her that I wouldn't need a treatment for about a month. I told her Fridays are usually best in the day. She then told me to email her the monday of the week i wanted the appointment and she would tell me what her availability was. This past Monday I did that, she didn't reply so I sent her another email, I woke up this morning to an email giving me two times to come in today. Obviously it was late notice for me so I asked her of she could tell me her availability next week. In return I got a very rude response, she told me "it doesn't work like that" "I don't have holes in my schedule" and "maybe another time". Like are you kidding me? She then told me she has a long waiting list and bumped me to the top because of a referral...what referral? I replied to her basically letting her know that she should have explained and been very clear about her scheduling policy when I initially emailed her ONE MONTH AGO. If she had done this and I had known it was either her appointment time or the highway I would have been looking for another electrolysis that has more flexibility during the past month. She then replied again and told me "didn't this happen last month" I had no idea what she was talking about and "can't you go back there?" go back where!??! I assume she was speaking about my old electrolygist. Nevertheless, during this time, she never offered me another appointment time(even if it was months away) nor did she offer to put me on her waiting list. I was dissapointed because of all the great reviews on yelp, I really wanted to use her services. I understand she is well sought after and has a steady client base, but I also believe you should treat future and potential clients with the same respect and consideration that you treat your existing client base with. read more

After doing some research and postponing, I finally decided to give permanent hair removal a shot. After debating (and hearing some horror stories) with laser hair removal, I decided to go and explore electrolysis (which is the only FDA proven permanent hair removal). Lynne was very professional and explained everything extremely thoroughly. She was honest about everything from the process itself, what to expect, the timing of results, and any complications/issues that come up. She didn't upsell any of her services and was honest that depending on the area you want hair removal, laser treatment is more cost effective. Given my ethnicity and skin tone, she also gave me additional feedback and warnings about other methods of electrolysis and laser and how it could potentially cause adverse reactions to my skin (burn marks, scarring, etc.). After a thorough explanation and Q&A session she also gave me a free test patch. She uses a blend method, which works well on attacking all of the hair folicles that have been damaged and deformed over years of plucking, threading, waxing, and/or shaving. Yes it hurt, but as Lynne said and I believe, the pain is worth it when you end up seing the results. For someone who hasn't gotten electrolysis before, I recommend you schedule your appointment with Lynne towards the end of your day so incase you have some swelling from the proceedure, you don't have to worry about looking like someone who has had an allergic reaction to food. So far after the test patch things are looking good, the swelling didn't last long, and I look forward to getting rid of the hair permanently! read more

She gives a free intro session where she'll talk you through the whole process and educate you so you know what to expect. Awesome! Very professional and affordable. Depending on what your getting done it can be uncomfortable but with great results! Lynne makes it as comfortable as possible. You have to remember that its a tiny needle going into your hair follicles. its going to hurt but Lynne does put on music and keeps the conversation flowing so your some what distracted. Yep!!! Lynne absolutely rocks!!! I found Lynne ironically by reading a review for Nois. I purchased a groupon with Nois for two one-hour sessions. After my first session at Nois I had a lot of little bumps that looked like mosquito bites. I wasn't too worried about the bumps, but after a week I had a lot of little scabs. I decided before I went back to Nois that I wanted to try Lynne (she had great reviews), and am I so happy I did. I had an initial consultation where Lynne went into detail about the procedure, what to expect, and why the blend method was best (especially for my curly hair type). She did a free patch test, and to my surprise no little mosquito bites AT ALL, we scheduled our next appointment for a week later, and unlike my procedure at Nois I didn't have ANY scabs -not one. I immediately knew I was in the right hands, and didn't even care about redeeming my other one hour session with Nois. My next session was an hour and we covered a lot of ground. Lynne is very fast and proficient; I was amazed how much hair she was able to treat in an hour. She also has great "bed side" manner; she can keep a casual conversation without slowing down. I've had 3 treatments, and I'm seeing such good results that I'm moving on to a new area next week. She doesn't pressure you at all, this isn't about sales; she genuinely cares and wants her clients to be happy. Here schedule is very accommodating. I am sooooooo happy I found Lynne. Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else. I wish I would have found her years ago. Lynne has quite literally changed my life. I've been dealing with superfluous facial hair since my teens. I've tried it all. First it was shaving, and of course that only made it worse, but when you're a kid what do you know? Then it was tweezing. Everyday I spent my morning in front of the mirror (even on vacation!), plucking out hairs, obsessing not to miss one. Then I tried bleaching, but with a problem as bad as mine, it wasn't going to be a viable option. I tried light-based hair removal, what a joke! I started laser hair removal in college. It seemed to work OK, but it took a week or two to fall out, and always grew back. It was not permanent. Then I found Lynne. Lynne cares about her clients and about obsessing over how you look so that you don't have to. She made me feel comfortable, and more importantly, she killed my hair! Lynne is AMAZING. I had started hair removal at Nios and had a horrible experience - Robin often pulled hairs without treatment and then would deny it, I would get horrible "pimples" that would take a week to heal, etc. After I completed my package at Nios (wasted money), I was either going to give up or try another place. After much online research, I decided that the blend method may work better and gave Lynne a call. She sat me down and educated me on the process and why the Nios method (THERMOLYSIS) doesn't work as efficiently. The blend method is much less painful and there are no scars or pimples to deal with. I believe if I had started with Lynne initially my treatments wouldn't have taken so long, but alas, I finally see great results just as I was about to become skeptical again.
