I have loved holllywood nails for so long close to a year! I recommended all my friends my family I even took my grandma to nail appointments and it was so nice. Until it took a complete u-turn. The guy there was super rude towards me and my grandma he forgot to file her nails down an always rushed her appointments and she'd come home disappointed but it doesn't even begin to describe the one time I had come in and asked for a basic French tip and the whole time he was aggressive with my hands and I felt overall uncomfortable and it looked nothing like picture. So I sat with my nails that cost me alot of money for a night and called the next morning and he had treated me terribly and when I got them fixed next day he said he would never ever do a French tip nail on me because I was so picky (which it didn't even look like the photo) and he was so aggressive once again did a horrible job and still saw the white underneath my nails from the French tip on my new color and just did a horrible job over all. He made me feel so incredibly uncomfortable and like I wasn't even a customer I always tipped good and even tipped his young daughter who I had admired for helping her dad work at such a young age. Highly don't recommend. Especially if you're a teenager they will try and take advantage of you. read more

For $40, I got completely flat (no C shape whatsoever) nails that are crookedly put on, not neatly painted or filed, and are a ridiculous, uneven, bulbous shape. Regular polish as well, no gel. They charge extra for shaping, filing, etc. I can go anywhere else in Bucks County and have much better service for $25, and I'm regretting not doing so. The service was alright. The front desk girl was on the phone the whole time... didn't even look up once to direct me where to go as it was my first time there. It hasn't even been a week since I got my nails done and one of my nails broke and the other has chipped. I was on the phone with my family regarding an emergency and the guy doing my nails was clearly annoyed. The lady who did my pedicure was sloppy filing my toes and seemed as if she was just trying to get it done ASAP. Will not be returning. There was some residue on my fingers after I got the SNS dip manicure but it came off after washing my hands and picking the powder off. This did take a while, however, the color and quality of the manicure is exactly what I wanted. I usually get a gel manicure and wanted to try the dip since it lasts longer and I am happy with it. This was the first time I went here and I will go back. I called a half hour before I went in to see if there was availability and the receptionist was very nice and fit me in on short notice. The woman that did my nails didn't bore me with small talk and I was able to relax and decompress. read more

I am beyond disgusted how my services were twice and how I was treated after I brought the horrible service to their attention. Both times I had a gel mani and regular pedi. Both times I walked out with nail polish on my fingers, nails not painted right and my pedis had nail polish all over my toes and had a toe cut. I was offered either 50% back from the services or a free do over. I travel a lot and said I would be back this week. Nope. Apparently I had one week. I was not told that. They also knew my schedule. My appointment was for tomorrow morning (I have an event to attend) and they called to tell me I would have to pay full price. Unfortunately, really underwhelmed by the basic pedicure. It was so quick and comparable to a polish change. No massage, no exfoliation. I also asked for a callus treatment, and they told me it was included, but I didn't get anything that worked, just a short scrub. I wanted to like this place as the staff was very friendly and nice. However, my appointment was at 10:30am. I was out of the salon by 11:10am, for a gel mani and a pedicure, which I paid $55 for. The manicure and pedicure were both basically a polish change. She did not touch my cuticles or clean up around my nails at all, she barely even shaped them. No massage, no scrub, nothing. I am extremely disappointed at the service, it was probably one of the worst mani/pedis I have ever received. Will not be returning. read more

This is my go-to place for getting my nails done in Newtown. Not only is the entire staff friendly, they don't feel the need to chat with you nor do they sit chatting to each other constantly. Everything is clean and updated, the pedicure massage chairs continue to look brand new (and feel amazing!), and it's clear that they take sanitizing their tools very seriously. There have been one or two times where I've been unhappy with the end result of a gel manicure, but it really depends on who your technician is and now I know who to ask for. They always go out of their way to make sure you feel pampered, the foot and hand massages that come with the regular mani/pedi aren't rushed, the hot towels are always the perfect temperature, and the TVs are always on HGTV. I have to admit, I've even almost fallen asleep while getting a pedi here - that's how relaxing it is! They have a MASSIVE assortment of colors and brands of polish, and I never get bored with it. This is the definition of a Yelp four-star establishment. It's light, airy, the service is pleasant, they do a good job, and it is inexpensive. This is not a DJW spa experience, but still very relaxed with massage chairs and a good exfoliation and massage with pedicures. They have TVs blaring which I find distracting, but apparently is a pleasant distraction for many people. Prices are a step up from the bottom-barrel nail places, but if you think about it, do you really want to save $5-10 when you're talking about hygiene and your health? The massaging chairs are oddly uncomfortable, putting your feet in a bad position (cutting against your instep), and they don't work completely (obviously need repairs). I couldn't get a comfortable position for my back. The pedicure itself was OK, not great, not bad. Love this place, this is my favorite place to get my nails done in Newtown. Everyone is so kind and friendly here. You are greeted with a bottle of water when you sit down for a service, which I appreciate. They do a great job and offer affordable prices. I love how they offer perks for their customers as well. They have a punch card for every service, you get is stamped and after a certain amount of services you get a coupon for money off your next service. They also offer a referral discount. Hollywood nails is the best. I have been to every salon in Newtown, and Hollywood Nails came out on top in every way. First of all, Keven gets you in and out of the salon faster than anyone I have ever sat with. If you have a schedule like mine, time is so important. Although he is quick, he is also very neat. He does not have to waist time cleaning off my skin, because he does it neatly to start with. Secondly, he does not get crazy with the file. He does not file into your real nail bed around the cuticles. I have been at other salons that have filed gruves into my nail beds, and this is visible when the nails grow out. He doesn't rip off your own nail when removing parts of the acrylic from the previous visit. Lastly, let us talk about the price.This is clearly the most important topic of all. if you become one of Kevin's regular customers, he will not "NICKLE AND DIME YOU!". A refill normally costs $15 at most salons, but somehow the bill is ridiculously more when all is done. Most salons in Newtown always tell you that it is time for a new set of nails $$$$$$. Not Kevin. Then, they charge you to remove the old set as well. Most salons ask if you need a cut down so they can charge you more money$$$$. Not Kevin. Kevin will keep your nails at a good length each visit. Most salons charge $5 per nail for a repair. Not Kevin IMPORTANT : My refill is $15 every two weeks no matter what Kevin has to do! They always look beautiful when I leave. I usually add a jell polish finish for just an extra $10. This is a true bargain for a "Newtown " salon. Make an appointment with Kevin, and stop being ripped off by the over charges from other salons. read more

I am sitting in the parking lot writing this review. The staff was completely unfriendly and rude. I made an appointment with Kevin and came in for a Mani/pedi with gel polish that needed to be removed. Kevin handed me over to another technician who wrapped my nails in acetone/foil then brought me back for the pedicure. I still had my cost, shoes and handbag on, carrying my purse, flip flops and book. I was trapped in the foil unable to put anything down or take off my coat. I asked for her help and she just stared at me. I cancelled getting the pedicure since it was too complicated. I waited for 30 min. while Kevin finished with his client. Again, I made the appointment with Kevin for both. I brought my own polish and top coat and when I asked him to use those products he mumbled, grumbled and was genuinely rude. This might be the most unsatisfactory experience I've had. I can't believe the way they treat their clients. I've never written a review before but this was such a disappointing experience I decided to post it before I even started my car to leave. read more
