I was extremely careful reading documents because on the first stack I was sent on the last signature page in miniscule print i got out a magnifying glass to read it. That I agreed to allow them as a complimentary service to monitor my financial spending and medical history. I crossed out wrote no. Most of the paper work I wrote addendum to. It took me a couple years to understand the extent of the damage. Matt Tandee did not provide me with any documentation when it was completed. He told me there were 1000 of documents and I would have to pay a dollar a page. At that time I was going through a horrific divorce my ex worked for Hennepin county gov each day I recieved some type of legal document and court hearing. Mike Brandt is a class act. I consulted a LOT of attorneys when my 20 year old was cited, and…read moreevery other attorney I consulted told me I was best off retaining them (for their standard flat fee) before any court action. Mike was the only one who was straight with me. He told me -- against his own financial interest -- that there was a very good chance that the hearing officer would "continue the case for dismissal" (give us exactly what we wanted) if my kid appeared on their own. He could have sold me his services, but he didn't. He earned my respect.

I thought I was going to be in major trouble and there wasn't much even an attorney could do about it. He immediately came up with possible solutions that he believed could get me out of my jam. Eric was calming and put me at ease and immediately came up with a game plan. I was still doubtful an attorney could improve my situation. I was wrong. Eric was able to work with the state in such a way that they decided to drop the charges entirely. Before going to court, Eric recommended a couple of easy things I could do to improve my situation in preparation. After the state decided to drop my charges, they indicated that the few things I did in preparation for court, that Eric recommended I do, were the reason why they decided to drop my charges. He was able to keep my record completely clear and I honestly think if I had hired a different attorney that would not be the case.

At first I emailed him the situation, then called for a free consultation. He was very open, honest, and friendly. We decided to meet with him to talk about our situation, never once did he judge us, instead he reassured us that he was working for us. Chris made us feel right at home. He had a very warm personality that just spoke the truth, no sugar coating. He gave us some time to think about it before we made any big decisions but I already knew he was the lawyer for this situation. He always showed up to the court dates and told us what was to be expected and what was going to happen. Always took his time to make sure we really understood it and what was going on. After a few court dates, he settled on an agreement with the prosecutor and cut us a really good deal. Better than we could have ever expected. Even I had doubts that things wouldn't work out but the results were astonishing. He made the unthinkable happen. I highly recommend this guy. Hire him.
