I would give the highest possible recommendation to Paula Strickland and Simply Done Interiors! As…read morea small business owner in Cape Coral, Paula came highly recommended to us and so we hired her to help design our shop's interior. That is how I came to know Paula and Simply Done Interiors. It was the best decision we made. Paula is a wonderful designer. She listened to us and worked within our tiny budget to design an awesome place for us. That was 4 years ago. Since then I have had Paula design my house room by room (rooms get done as my budget allows!), and over the past couple of years Paula has helped me immensely. She has beautifully designed and directed the complete renovation, design, and decor of my master bedroom suite, the dining room, the den/guest room, and a complete bathroom renovation in another guest bedroom. I love everything Paula has done! She has made my house a home. She's a true professional and a wonderful human being. I have no idea why anyone would write anything negative because that is nothing like the Paula I know. Paula has always listened to my wants/likes, what type of vibe I'm looking for, and always works within my budget. Her design work is phenomenal and she is very upfront about costs. I have never been pressured into anything, and Paula has even repurposed things in my home to save me money. In this next year, Paula will be designing my living room/kitchen area as well!

She cashed our checks quickly enough but did not honor her commitments - did not provide pieces of furniture and furnishings as promised, and overcharged for everything she did provide. Buyer beware of this woman and her business. If this app would have given us the option of giving her a rating of zero stars or better yet, negative stars, we would have.

We had a plumbing problem that flooded our kitchen and ruined our cabinets…read more The first business we visited was Direct Source in Kalispell and we are so thankful we did. Heather definitely set the bar for the other businesses we checked out. Her personalized customer service and great communication made a stressful situation an experience we are happy to share. We did get quotes from other stores and compared prices and services they would provide. If you want to go step by step on YOUR own, paying for cabinets and counter tops then, pay installers for both separately and hoping the installers schedule doesn't change on you, having the cabinets delivered to your house before install and hoping you have the room to store them and that nothing is damaged and you have to deal with getting replacements yourself that is your choice. But if you want to have a business that you can order your cabinets and counter tops from, has its own contracted installers, has the cabinets delivered and stored at their business until the day before or day of the install, will take care of any damaged cabinets and get replacements (ours were great-no issues) and make sure the end result is YOUR vision, YOUR design and that you are more than happy with it all, PLUS have it all in a competitive pricing package then go to Direct Source. For us the best decision was going with Direct Source and the biggest blessing was working with Heather! Happy New Year!

Although Direct Source and their employees seem good, and I originally wanted to give them a 5 star…read morereview for their employees, as a reseller, they are only as good as the cabinet lines that they carry. We purchased Dura Supreme cabinets from them. This has caused us a major hardship. If they were to remove Dura Supreme from their line up of carried lines, I would give them a better rating. We spent months designing the perfect kitchen, and we were very excited. When the cabinets arrived, they were full of defects and the completely wrong color. It was clear Dura had used wood from the scrap pile (heartwood which does not take stain evenly), and that no human had actually looked at the cabinets as they were totally mismatched, the wrong sizes, wrong configuration, full of nail marks and burn marks. We spent around $15K and it made me physically sick to see the cabinets once they came in. After a few days of back and forth, Direct Source agreed to give us a full refund. That was good on Direct Source, they did seem to take responsibility and be ethical even though it was Dura Supreme's fault. However, now we've been without an upstairs kitchen for four months since we had to find someone else to build our upstairs kitchen in this market - luckily we knew someone, but still, it has been 4 months. We were also planning on using this property as a vacation rental, and we've lost the ability to do that for this time, and with our direct lake front access and busy tourist season, this is probably around $12K loss for the month of June alone. The thing that really gets to me is the hassle of having to redesign the kitchen with another vendor, the wait, and the fact that now we won't be able to do things like return our other expensive kitchen fixtures if they don't work out with the new design because it's beyond the return period. So while I would say you might have an OK experience with the Direct Source staff, Direct Source can only be as good as it's cabinet lines, and as long as they continue to use the Dura Supreme cabinet line, they are putting customers at major financial risk. I have read the BBB reviews for Dura and apparently our $15k cabinet project was really just minor -- there are people who ordered $100k cabinets from Dura and had the same problems, only weren't able to get a full refund. So while I appreciate the way Direct Source handled it, Dura Supreme is not a company you should ever do business with and we ended up doing business with Dura through Direct Source. The Dura rep in the Flathead area was simply offensive, trying to convince us that the cabinets delivered were the same as what we ordered (see picture) and it was totally gaslighting. So beware - Dura Supreme, the line they carry - is using piles of scrapwood for cabinets and shipping things full of defects. Dura's advertising is false and if you have a problem, they will blame it on "natural variation". Even if Direct refunds you themselves, good luck finding someone else to do cabinets in this market, we were lucky to already have someone in waiting and have a downstairs appartment kitchen to use. You might not be so lucky. So Direct Source, you are may be an ok business, but you simply must end your relationship with one of your main cabinet lines Dura Supreme to protect your customers and you reputation. Homeowners, if you want to do business with Direct Source still, you might be ok, but please under no circumstances should you use Dura Supreme.

Paint4U did an amazing job of transforming our newly purchased home from a dark, loggy look to the bright, modern look we were hoping for. The owner, Mike, took the time to make sure he understood exactly what effect we were trying to achieve in each area. This was particularly important because in addition to painting every wall surface in our house, we also painted large areas of previously stained wood ceilings and wood paneled wainscoting. During the project we got to know not only Mike, but also Micah, Anna and Nicole, all of whom were friendly, polite and unbelievably hard working. The entire team worked with such precision that it's impossible to find mistakes anywhere. My in-laws actually played a game one day to try to find a paint blemish in our whole 3-story house and they couldn't find a single one! Mike and his team were so nice to work with that several months after painting our home's interior, we had them return to paint our house's exterior. Here again, not a small feat given the height of our house and the difficulty of accessing several areas on the 3rd floor with no nearby roof access. This didn't slow Mike's team down one bit. You can't go wrong with Paint4U. You'll get a thoughtful estimate, a hard working team, and an extremely high quality end result that you'll be very happy with!
