It's a compact place to stay that is peaceful, given the residential location. It's a stone-throw away from Wolverhampton and Birmingham. It's close to the M5 and M6 motorways, including local attractions like Dudley Zoo and the Black Country Museum. It's owned by a couple; Pradeep and his wife who are very hospitable and friendly. It's a shame a hot breakfast isn't available but you can have cereal, toast and yoghurt within the comfort of your bedroom where a small dining table and two chairs are available. The BnB has free parking and WiFi access. The bathrooms are NOT ensuite, so be prepared to share with other customers. Overall, it's value for money with room rates starting from around £27.

More and more people entered and were told the same thing and soon there was barely room to move. We weren't kept informed as to what was happening, when we were finally seated at our table an hour and a half after the time we'd booked it for we were told they'd had a large booking in earlier that hadn't left on time. We weren't offered a discount off the bill or free drinks or anything for the inconvenience and they weren't even very apologetic just blaming it on the group booking. I can't even remember what the food tasted like I was that annoyed at the long wait. I wouldn't go here again.

The only note of disappointment is the traffic road on the opposite road, which can be hear all through the tiny windows (infact i hardly slept during the night, and the small English double bed - a single for me - didn't contribute). Somebody in the management should plan a refurbishment for them. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The hotel offers a 50% discount with the NCP adjacent car park that is connected with the hotel with a fly over. A restaurant is in within the hotel thought we didn't try as we preferred an asado in a place nearby.

Pretend mahogany, I think that's what it is. It was £119 for bed and breakfast, the former being rock hard and the latter being pretty tasty. I had broccoli and lemon thyme soup (couldn't taste much of the lemon thyme, like), followed by ham hock and creamy mash, and an apple and calvados tarte tatin. We also shared a bottle of rioja that set us back £18 but tasted like it should've been only a fiver. The service was shoddy too, now I think of it - there were a number of dishes not on the menu, and rather than tell us that first, our waiter painstakingly took each order and then told each of us that our choices weren't available. He also took 25 minutes to determine that one of the desserts we ordered wasn't on the menu which made my colleague very grumpy. I sound bitter, don't I? I shouldn't, it was work that paid.
