Initially we were so much confused and worried when we look at lab results and other consultations. But Everything was cleared by Dr. Sachse once we meet him. From our initial consultation through the post-operative care, we were consistently impressed by Dr. Sachse's expertise and professionalism. He is clearly a highly knowledgeable surgeon who took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, address all my concerns, and ensure I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Sachse's skill and care. If you are in need of surgical intervention, my wife and I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend consulting with Dr. Sachse. His talent is a true gift, if you are facing surgery and looking for a highly competent and caring surgeon, look no further than Dr. Sachse. What truly stood out was not only his surgical talent but also his friendly and reassuring demeanor. You will be in excellent hands.

Sitting in the lobby was very bland and boring to say the least as there were not magazines or even a tv in the waiting area. Once taken back the medical assistant was friendly and helpful before being seen by the doctor. Once we were seen the doctor introduced himself to us and got the breakdown of the history and complaints and offered his suggestions for referrals after just doing a simple exam (just pressed on my fiancés stomach while he was still sitting in the chair). While the doctor already knowing we were there for a work related accident follow-up he then proceeded to ask if he had ever considered weight loss surgery. Like what? How is that related to what we are there being seen for? Furthermore, in the medical history it was mentioned that my fiancé had a traumatic accident which is is still dealing with and you want to suggest an elective surgery? Completely changed his mood at the end of the visit. It is to note that while the insurance scheduled this appointment 2 weeks in advanced they called a few days before that they hadn't received necessary paperwork to see him. Why wasn't this completed when the insurance reached out to you to schedule the appointment? We also were bounced around to different doctors prior to coming in as doctors kept refusing to see him. First one dropped the day before (Seriously?) and we were called to see another doctor, then when our lawyer called to check on the change we were referred to yet another doctor, until finally we got another one who is the one we dealt with during this visit. Overall, a complete mess and I am glad we do not have to return to this INOVA office.

If you are in search for a right colon & rectal surgery specialist for your upcoming surgery, stop…read morehere! Dr. Kimberly Matzie is a highly qualified professional with many years of experience who will make you smile the day after the surgery and especially a couple of weeks later. In December 2025, I had a surgery led by Dr. Matzie in tandem with the highly regarded urologist Dr. Welgoss on fixing the rectocele, a condition I did not address for several years. Dr. Matzie was performing the robotic mesh rectopexy surgery using the highest technological tools. This surgical technology is known to have a higher precision and a higher success rate. And sure enough! Minimal pain after the day of surgery and no pain for the following weeks of recovery. I was amazed how fast I was recovering. Being advised that the tiredness could last for two weeks, I did not feel tired after several days of recovery. My body accommodated pretty fast to a new normal and I finally obtained the years awaited comfort. My endless gratitude to Dr. Matzie and Dr. Welgoss! Amazing professionals! It is worth mentioning that both Dr. Matzie and Dr. Welgoss are very friendly, responsive to any details, and very clear with explanations of what to await. Olga C.

I had an initial consult regarding an issue that had been causing me quite a bit of personal stress and anxiety. The physical exam was performed with the utmost respect for the intimacy of the situation. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the exam and was certain it was done with integrity and skill. After the exam was completed I was asked to get dressed and meet in the office to discuss my options. How often this step is overlooked by providers!! There is no situation where it is appropriate to discuss next steps with a doctor while undressed and feeling vulnerable. I was given a variety of surgical options and was told to review, research and return with a decision. There was no pressure to decide on the spot. My questions and concerns were completed addressed and I left feeling as if I chose to pursue a surgical intervention that I was in extremely competent hands. I did choose surgery. I found Dr. VonPechmann's beside demeanor matches his surgical skill. His pre-op interactions were confident and compassionate and I knew that I was in great care. I had some post-op concerns and he was very willing to flex to my needs. I felt like Dr. VonPechman heard my concerns and intervened accordingly. I recommend this doctor without any hesitation.
