Many years ago I got burned buying a new Martin with a very poor neck set and bad truss rod. Martin was not forthcoming in wanting to pay for the repairs. So, when I am looking at a purchase I have a machinists rule that I use to take critical measurements, on every guitar I pick up. This got on Susan's nerves, and I understand. Regardless, and most important to me, Susan is the most talented guitar teacher I have ever met, and I'm old. Her written arrangements of tunes are so far superior to most of what is out there. She should put together some type of book and it would be well welcomed. I live outside Charlotte, so it is LONG drive for somebody in my age bracket, 70's. First, I'd like to calm her down from my first meeting.. Then, I'd like to try and figure somehow, some way that we could get together on lessons. take my word, I doubt you will do better than susan Blessings On Susan and Her Folks !

The guys from FL didn't include a transformer with it (it was used gear, figures...). So the guys (Kevin from ops) scoured the store for a little while, and they found us one in their stock. They gave it to us, free of charge. And, we got to test the new piece with our gear in their sound sales room once again. Very helpful people. Very professional service. Quick shipping. Great price on our new piece. This piece has added another layer of depth to our program--thanks Guitar Center, thanks Zach, Kevin and Greg. Thank you all for making it a smooth process. Yesterday I went to Guitar Center Greenville for the purpose of buying some guitar cleaning gear,…read moreand considering selling some gear (Ramirez classical and two amps). Should have been a no-brainer purchase. As I walked in a young guy at the register kind of mumbled (ingenuously) "May I help you?" Told him what I was looking for and he just kind of waved me off in the direction of where cleaning products are. It took me a minute or so to find the products I was looking for with his pathetic directions, and the fact that the entire wall of products was trashed, laying around, wrong area, total dump!! But I did finally find the product I was looking for, despite the worthless kid at the counter. I haven't been to any Guitar Centers in a while so I decided to walk around and look at guitars and amps. I recall that the Guitar Centers and Musicians Friend in Colorado were well-lit, clean, and had great selections. This store is an absolute drab, depressing, dirty, dusty dump!!! I saw very few new products but perhaps all the new stuff was as dirty and trashed as the piles of junky-looking amps, etc. I wouldn't ever consider buying anything at this store. It looks like the worst kind of pawn shop experience you may have ever seen. So I went to check out with my cleaning products because I needed them. What a freaking zoo that is! The counter/checkout guy who 'greeted' me at the beginning was doing trade in/sell estimates using his register area as a work bench. The other 'gent' at the second register was seemingly just BS'ing, copying codes from odd products on his phone, complaining incessantly that the phone kept ringing. All this time really strange characters were walking in and dropping off items with absolutely no consideration of who was in line first or last. Glancing at the absolute garbage that people were trading in I had to wonder how much of this stuff was stolen or pulled out of a dumpster. Seriously. As the guy in front of me said as he was trying to trade in a small (toy?) guitar, "I don't care what you give me, I just need money now." Honestly, I had to look around to see if I was in some 'druggy' neighborhood. Anyways, after about 15 minutes of waiting to check out I was finally taken care of. Bottom line: I don't know what happened to Guitar Center but I'll stick to Sweetwater or other companies that care. The Greenville Guitar center is depressing, dirty, and I would NEVER recommend them.

Al was amazing. Then I moved down here. This business is amazing as well. I had a catastrophic injury (yes, I said "injury" instead of damage because my instrument is part of me rather than a separate object), and Andrew, the person who repaired my violin, worked relentlessly on it until it was not only back into original shape but better than it was originally. I was referred to Jim Clinton Violins from Pecknell, which has kind people running it and was kind enough to treat me as a human being. If y are rolling in money and used to seeing others treated badly, go to House of Violins. you can see classism at work there. Filthy, nasty attitudes and rude, horrible, dishonest people who dwell in foolish consistency. I tried to get help from House of Violins and was treated very disrespectfully by a snobbish and harsh man who humiliated me and gave me a grossly inflated price. I will never forget the respect I was given at Jim Clinton Violins. I am a professional in the. Greenville Community and will do everything in my power to make sure that their reputation is carried far and wide as a great place to go. They are truly gifted craftspeople who know not only the way to bring an instrument back to life but to convey the humanity of their work as well. They have an old-world aspect to their work which is a challenge to find, but it is there.
