Instead, I left with very shitty blunt and not blended at all micro bangs. She butchered my hair and did it without checking with me first or making sure that's what I wanted. You never know how a new stylist will work, but from the moment I sat down she told me she could do my hair like some of the pictures and she effortlessly went to mix the colors and immediately went to work on my hair. I swear she is a total pro! No hesitation in her movements - she knew exactly what she was doing...she could do this in her sleep! She easily touched up my roots and put in my highlights with impeccable skill. Then after the washout and blow dry (sweet Kim helped too) she quickly trimmed and shaped my hair and gave me the cutest curtain bangs! When I got up from the chair I felt like a model! I literally called the same day to ask if they had an opening, and they were able to take me in around 11:45 AM. Jason, who has over 20 years of experience, took care of me and he was incredibly kind, patient, and detailed throughout the entire process. We ended up bleaching my hair four times based on his professional advice, and I did not leave until around 5 PM. Even though it was a long appointment, it never felt stressful because Jason explained everything clearly and checked in with me often. I was honestly pretty skeptical at first since I had never dyed my hair before, but the results blew me away. From just one reference photo, he matched the silver color perfectly. The bleach only ever got like a 1/10 itchiness on my sideburns since the hair was much shorter there. Their pricing was very fair for my hair length. I had gotten quotes from other salons that were charging much more, even though my hair is much shorter than their usual clients. PERM DID NOT TAKE -- MANAGEMENT BALMED MY "HAIR CANVAS" INSTEAD OF SERVICE!!…read more I'm severely disappointed with my experience at Salon Technique in Fullerton. I went in for a spiral perm with clear reference photos and left with a result that did not match what was discussed and was assured was possible. Within weeks, the curl continued to fall out, and at this point there is very little curl remaining--even with styling products; what a loss of $460! After multiple attempts to follow up with Pamela Coryell the owner and Piage their "perm specialists", I did not receive any timely responses from either. When Pamela did finally reply, my concerns were dismissed and the outcome was blamed on my "hair canvas", including claims that my ends were lightened and too porous. This is simply not accurate--my hair is NOT colored, and I have had previous spiral perms which held well 8+ months and have matched the spiral perm look requested. To be certain I was not off my rocker, I had another salon in evaluate my hair that very same week I got the perm, and they confirmed the perm did not properly take, did not reflect what was asked for and they said I should be refunded. What's most disappointing is the lack of accountability from Salon Technique. Instead of acknowledging that the service fell short, the responsibility was redirected onto me the client! I requested multiples times for a refund and was denied and the only offer sent back was that I could return and re-perm little ares here and there with no promise that they would take! UNBELIEVABLE - I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision. My experience says beware and do not go here. I expected professionalism and accountability, and unfortunately this salon does not hold to this level of professionalism. So I saw an influencer post about Ai Lin so I immediately found her on instagram, texted her…read morenumber, and booked an appointment. Then I drove 7 hours from SF to come see her. This is THE place to be for anything hair-related. Truly! I've gotten my hair done (bleached, balayage, babylights, foilyage, highlights, etc) and this was my favorite experience. The salon feels very homey and gives family vibes. Just be prepared that if you're going in for any bleaching service it'll most likely be an all-day thing. But Ai Lin and everybody cares very much about the integrity of your hair and Ai Lin is very realistic about what is achievable for your hair without damaging it too much. Ai Lin works very hard (as does everybody else in this hair salon!) and is very much working on multiple people at once, but does her best to check in. I didn't see her eat or drink water once (hopefully she did!), for the whole time I was there from 10:30-6:30pm. My hair also wasn't lifting in the bottom as we expected to, as I last dyed my hair 5 years ago but we were able to make it work. She also gave me SUCH a good long layered cut! With walk ins, they try to sit you in between coloring sessions so that everyone has the same amount of attention. They are very quick and efficient. They have radio music in the back and it's usually throwbacks which is really nice to hear.
