The first lawyer I consulted barely listened to me and told me I had no case. The second lawyer I consulted told me it was a piece of cake, and pressed me for a very large retainer. I finally spoke with Jordan Faux. He listened to me, and asked me questions that showed he knew the law very well. No jumping to conclusions here. After I paid a reasonable retainer, he thoroughly researched my case. He then wrote a thorough memorandum that could be used to teach law students. He outlined my options, citing the laws supporting and opposing them. He finally advised that, while I could pursue my case, I'd almost certainly be "throwing good money after bad money". He could have taken my case to court, charged me probably more than the amount of the lawsuit, and I still probably would have lost. He was honest, did not chase the money (like the first lawyer), and even refunded the unused part of the retainer. I sent over a brief PowerPoint presentation of my case in order to keep the specifics brief. Melinda, who works there, was very polite and helpful, but short and to the point. He obviously wants to get paid for every second that you deal with him in any way. I set an appointment, but when I sent the PP over I noted that I could do an earlier appointment that was suggested. That was pointedly ignored so I just kept the original appointment. I called a few minutes before so they could charge the $100/30 minute phone consultation fee. That went quickly and then Mr. Marzullo got on the phone and was instantly rude. He starts talking very fast and you really can't get a word in edgewise. I think he wanted me to explain a complicated case to him like a fifth grader because he was not having my seemingly complicated ones. He told me several times I didn't understand him (rudely, I might add) when in reality he didn't understand me. Probably because he couldn't hear me over his talking over me. He was so incredibly rude and hurried that I didn't even get to ask all of my questions and hung up the phone with minutes left on my time. If I ever need a real estate attorney in Vegas it won't be him.
