There have been no consequences or side effects. She is personable and delightful as well. Actually I showed her another issue I was having which she diagnosed immediately and I was able to get care the same day with a professional that treats the issue I was experiencing. On another matter: Her office staff called me twice to make sure I received the result of an mri I had. Dr. Iones followed up to make sure that I was seeing a doctor for an issue that appeared on the mri. I highly recommend Dr. Iones if you need a neurologist as I have been to three others over the years and none compare on any level.

So I will go to another neurologist that hopefully will help me besides my RA Dr. This upset me to no end after being a patient for more then at least 10 yrs. In June of 2015 I was hit by a car while riding my motorcycle, and my (helmeted) head hit the…read morepavement. After the accident I experienced headaches, blurry vision, and a bleeding eye. A neurologist diagnosed a concussion, and said the bloody eye was also a result of hitting my head. I scheduled an exam with Dr. McDonald. During my visit she said my bloody eye was "probably" a result of the trauma to my head. I was happy with the exam itself, and she gave me a stronger prescription than I had been using. When I filed a claim with the insurance company of the driver who hit me, Dr. McDonald denied that my bleeding eye had anything to do with the accident, contradicting what she told me during my office visit. I was very disappointed, and will not return to her practice.

He peremptorily insisted on skull X-rays which found nothing. We were sure that her peripheral vision was fine which was found to be the case after a visit to a well known Eye Hospital in Philadelphia where they had much more advanced instruments. In fact, ophthalmologists at this hospital said, "Do NOT go to any Bethlehem Ophthalmologists!" Despite that warning, when our daughter began to complain of headaches and difficulty seeing the board in class, I tried to make an appointment with a Dr. Gentile, whom we had seen, but instead were shunted to Dr. Marilyn McDonald. Our daughter was tested NOT by the Dr., but by office staff. Afterward, Dr.McDonald called to tell me that our daughter had no peripheral vision. I explained the above, but she insisted the child must return to her office for further testing. When she went back, OFFICE STAFF again did the same tests all over again and to add insult to injury, we were charged for this a second time. The results were the same...no peripheral vision. We made a second trip to Philadelphia to the Eye Hospital where testing revealed that her peripheral vision was stellar. I met with a group of ophthalmologists at the hospital. I was again reminded by them of their initial admonition..."We thought we told you NOT to go to any Bethlehem ophthalmologists." Perhaps Dr. McDonald has invested in some more advanced instruments, but I could not recommend her based on the above.

I receive psychiatric services, breast health wellness, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy through the hospital and network. I am fortunate to have an incredible neurologist and team.I have been hospitalized both at Cedar Crest and LVHN Muhlenburg. The physicians and staff including nurses, team partners, etc. all have taken the time to understand me and my changing needs. The pharmacy within this hospital offers a "drop box" safe zones to leave used and or expired meds. The volunteers brighten up the hospital. And the food is pretty decent, as well. My experience has been about 93% positive. I recommend this stellar hospital. The staff, drs, nurses and care teams have made huge positive impacts on my life. Thank you.

Sandra told me their office does I called back yesterday to set up an initial appt and Christina was saying no we do not I said well yes you do I know you do from talking to Sandra and I'm trying to set up an appt to be seen. Then she tells me I have to wait a day, so she calls me today and then tells me they can only see me between 11am and 2pm. Well I work, what am I suppose to do lose my job so you can see me for an initial appt. I don't get out of work until 4. Your office is open til 645 if the appt is an hour you have plenty of time to see me. I took a big step in coming out to my wife with my depression and admitting I need help that I can't do it by myself anymore. And I need help, and I reached out to this office because my therapist Tom Ritter told me too. And now I finally trusted my therapist and thought I could trust this office but I can't and now I feel back to square one. So thank you for not helping me and putting me in a more depressed mood of not being able to get help. If something happens to me because of this Christina and you not trying to work with me it's on your office. Absurd!!!!

I have a love/hate thing going on with this place. Sometimes I leave feeling like I understand the…read moreinformation that was conveyed to me and am comfortable in my condition, other times I've left confused and trying to get my questions answered only led to additional frustration and misunderstanding. One thing I will say is that I do like the doctor. He is well respected and educated in his field, and I think he's a nice guy. HOWEVER sometimes I get the feeling that he's confusing me with another patient. One visit I'm left believing I'm ok and have nothing to be concerned about, then come back for a follow up and leave under the impression that I have some serious condition. In the many years I've been a patient at this practice I still only have a label of being "suspect" of a condition and not actually having it. While I do support the doctors decision to not officially diagnosis me until he is absolutely sure as this condition is elusive as far as a clear cut diagnosis, it does leave me stressed. Other medical professionals who know my "label" don't agree with this and feel I either have this condition or I don't, which again causes me a lot of undue stress. I will say that this is the kind of place doesn't like to give results for anything over the phone. Expect to get a test done then wait up to three months for your appointment for results. This is very typical, however for me and my condition, one result could lead to another test so I've been very proactive in calling and trying to get results. They do not like to do this with good reason. What was relayed to me by a nurse was the complete opposite of what the result actually was when I did get in to see the doctor and when I brought it to their attention there wasn't any real ownership of their fault and I was made to feel like I made the mistake. For a new patient going in I would advise you to make sure you ask specifically to schedule with the doctor. Many of times I went in thinking I was seeing the doctor himself only to have been scheduled with the nurse practitioner. In my case my specialist co pay is expensive, and for me to pay it then I want to see any actual doctor. The nurse practitioner I felt had a odd personality and didn't have proper reaction. That's the only way I can explain how I felt visiting with her. Maybe it's just that our personalities clash. I don't know but I don't want to see her again, ever.
