Being a watch junky with far more Swiss watches than I need but not near as many as I want, I thought of a somewhat obscure brand called NOMOS that is a small hand made, in house movement timepiece manufacturer located in Glashütte, Germany. So doing a little research I discover that the only authorized NOMOS dealer in Australia is this one in Sydney. After getting to Sydney my girlfriend and I go visit this shop which is small and on the 10th floor of a office building downtown. They mostly specialize in high end watch repair and selling some used vintage pieces. But they also feature the full NOMOS line. I was only there to look and check prices but the saving was far too tempting and we ended up getting the classic Bauhaus design his and hers NOMOS Tangente hand winders. The experience was excellent and the woman helping us was very knowledgeable and had us try on anything we liked and ask lots of questions. Truly an enjoyable experience and now we have some memorable souvenirs from the trip. Totally worth a visit if you are into vintage time pieces or the NOMOS brand.

Without any specific recommendations, I ducked into and out of a few shops before I found one that seemed legitimate and capable. Digital Mix is located in the center of Dixon shopping center in Chinatown on the ground level. After talking with the techie inside for quite awhile, I agreed to leave my phone in their hands over night. I walked out of there hopeful and excited to finally be a legitimate person again- an iPhone user- and get to retire my airport-acquired red Nokia. Much to my disappointment, I received a call about 30 minutes later. It was the shop girl at Digital Mix revealing that because of the hardware and software combination on the device, they would not be able to safely or effectively unlock it. CRAP! I picked up my lemon of a phone with discontent and disappointment. Thinking about it, however, I am happy that the shop didn't just go ahead with the procedure and totally ruin it. I have confidence that had my phone been a different version (something other than 4.1), they would have been able to set me up. Unfortunately, I am now left with a fancy iPod that also doubles as a paperweight.

Few days later my dress came back (I took at least 2 days to cut!) I put my dress on and.. oh my god I was in tears I could see my bottom! instead of just cutting a bit of what we measured they turned one of my best dresses into a shirt that barely covers my bottom!! At first Tara agreed to refund the cost (silly me that I trusted her) she never called me back! I went there 1,5 weeks later as I was busy with work and uni and gave her enough time , didn't want to be rude. Then she told me that Im getting a gift voucher on their services(wth?) When I asked her why didn't she try to contact me she said :"Ieft a phone message.. ?" Really? Never got any missed calls or ,messages from that rude lady! Im in process of contacting ACCC atm.
