It was clear on the first day that we had chosen the right people for the job. They did excellent work. Our ceilings, walls, trim, and doors look fantastic. They also patched a few larger holes in the walls/ceilings and you cannot tell where the holes were before. The price was very fair for the amount of work. They also cleaned up well each night. We would recommend Focus Painting to anyone looking for a painter, and would definitely use them again in the future.

It wasn't until the technicians began that we discovered an important piece is missing so the job had to be postponed. The company wanted to charge me $250 for "canceling" & then another $450 to come back to complete the assembly. I said $700 for an umbrella installation is out of price range so they charged me $350. When I called back to find out why the $100 more, I was told it was because I was not having them come back so he charged me the full standard cancelation rate per their "contract" which by the way, is referring to their email, I signed no contract with them. I will not be using this company ever again.

The guy on the line was very helpful, asked all the necessary questions, and had someone booked to come to my place in two days. Easy. My only complaint is that I was told they would get there between noon and 4. Pretty broad window; sure, it's no cable company who only gives you the date and you're expected to wait around in your pajamas, but still I was hoping for more specificity. Then...they showed up at 5. That's the complaint. But they actually managed to build the whole thing in 2 hours, which means I essentially paid the minimal hourly rate. They unpacked everything, brought their own tools, put the bookshelf nicely against the wall, then disposed of all the packaging. All of this was done with no supervision and while I continued to watch a marathon of Law and Order. I will absolutely use them again for all my assembly needs. I just might have to be prepared to wait around a bit longer.

Manuel is honest, dedicated, and professional, and he did an excellent job from start to finish. His pricing is very reasonable, and he was consistently responsive throughout the process. Despite managing a much larger project at the same time, he treated my project with the same care and attention. He even helped me with a few extra tasks outside the original scope without me asking. His team of painters was exceptional as well. Manuel is highly skilled--not only in remodeling, but also as an electrician and plumber--and he provides complete remodeling services.

We have been fighting with this company for nearly a year over a faulty egress window they…read moreinstalled. Initially we were given two options for the egress window. 1) cut out the top of the concrete and use a wooden header - this was the cheaper option. 2) leave concrete at the top and install a metal support. We requested this option and paid the amount for this. However the wooden header option was completed which did not match the rest of the house. We were told this was the only possible option yet we were charged the price quoted for the concrete/metal header. We didn't complain; however, soon after we discovered the window was leaking so much air that it was whistling when we had windy days. You can even see light through the side of the window. We sent photos and a video showing this and someone came out to our house twice to verify this, but they fixed nothing. We have been told repeatedly that it's an issue with the window manufacturer and someone would get back to us with next steps. Our whole basement finishing project is on hold and it will cost us even more money to bring contractors back to trim and paint the window after it gets replaced, not to mention increased utility bills and the potential for water damage. It seems our calls and e-mails are being ignored. We tried to get this resolved civilly, but it looks like we have no choice but to hire an attorney.
