Without reviewing the local shop, let's just say he did a terrible job adding 2 links and a new (dead) battery...no wonder he insists on cash. When I got a good look at the workmanship (not) and saw 2 link pins sticking out the side of the watch, I asked around for other referrals. I was NOT going to take it back to the same guy. That's when I heard about Valencia Time Center. From the time I walked into Valencia Time Center, I could tell I had found the right place. I was immediately greeted by a friendly associate. After explaining to him what had happened with my watch, he gave me a fair estimate. After a minute, Duane came over and discussed with me his ideas to fix and realign the links to where they should be placed. It appeared to me the 18k gold had been bent by the other guy, but Duane was able to make whatever magic alignment adjustments in a way that corrected the mistakes and made the watch look perfectly set again. He knows his craft well and obviously carries the right tools to fix what is brought in for repair. This watch is very special to me. I thought it was damaged forever. Lesson learned, I will never go anywhere else....and I earned 1 point! Love that! Thank you Duane.

I am always a little leery of jewelers because I've had pieces switched out and other things. But the moment I walked in here I was greeted with a smile and friendly welcome. I have now been in probably five times or so with and without my mom. We both had pieces that needed to be fixed. Every time we walk in no matter who is working, we have greeted and treated so nicely. I have full trust in them. And I will continue to use them for future jewelry repair or purchases. And I will always recommend this place to friends. They are very knowledgeable. I loved some of the pieces they have for purchase in the shop. They offer custom work. Today I walked in and wanted to show them a necklace my dog accidentally ripped off my neck. I just wanted the pendant checked and make sure it was secure. It's a family heirloom and means the world to me. I would've so upset if it came off the chain. She checked it and fixed it for me immediately. I asked how much I owed and she said nothing. It was so kind of them to fix it for me. Now I won't be worried I might lose it. It meant the world to me. I highly recommend this place.

Thankfully, I found House of Time on Yelp, where they had so many great reviews. I gave them a call, and Art answered the phone. He had me come in so I could try different ring sizes to determine the best fit. It turned out the main reason my rings no longer fit was that I had started developing arthritis in my fingers, which made perfect sense. Art quoted me just $90 per ring for the resizing and asked me to come back the next day to pick them up. I was thrilled with the results! Not only did the rings fit perfectly, but he also professionally cleaned them, and they looked absolutely beautiful and sparkled like new. Art was kind, honest, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. His professionalism and attention to detail gave me complete confidence in leaving my valuable rings with him. I highly recommend House of Time for anyone needing jewelry repairs or resizing!
