He told me my feet were flat (which, surprise, I already knew) and there was nothing he could do for me. As I checked out I was 'given' an orthotic (which does not fit my shoes) and charged $70 for it. It was my mistake. I should never have taken the orthotic, but I just wanted to get away from this office as fast as possible. My insurance only covered a portion of the total bill (and nothing for the orthotic) so I also had a big co-pay. All for nothing. I asked for a reduction in the bill which this doctor refused. This was an expensive waste of time and money. I will now look for a real doctor who can help me with my foot problems! Patients beware!

I have been there at least 8 times so it did not just happen once. Which is totally unacceptable. If he can't even see 1 patient on time why are they booking so many? They confirm the appointments so they know who is scheduled & why. If he were a heart surgeon or obstetrician I could understand (can't schedule heart attacks & babies) But he is a podiatrist keeping many elderly & people in pain sitting in his waiting room every single time. Many of the elderly patients are paying someone hourly to take them. If you do not care about your time and can wait hours for an appointment, He is good. But plan on being there for at LEAST an hour and a half for what should be a 15 minute appointment.

In Sept. 2022 I went to John Schilero about a right big toenail which had grown back deformed…read more(again). He removed the top layer, told me to use an OTC antifungal & return in a couple months. In Dec. 2022 I returned to show him the toenail was the same as before & request it be removed. However, to my surprise, they tried to take an X-ray of my right foot, which I refused. Schilero tried to convince me 3 times the right foot/toe looked swollen, & told me just to keep up the OTC antifungal on the nail. I left feeling really upset about the whole visit. Then I received a bill for the X-ray I had refused, & complained. Their billing department send a correction to the insurance company. I asked for a copy of my records, & was shocked at the false statements: my left foot hurt, then my right foot hurt (cited as the reason for the 2nd visit), the pain was getting worse! I sent the PBOI practice administrator a certified return/receipt request to AMEND my records, but haven't heard back. He also billed for "removal of the nailbed": $590, which he didn't do. My orthopedist is in this office, & that's why I trusted him. Never again.
