John did a fantastic job…read more... I had a tough year, worked part of the year then lost my job, had unemployment coming in the.got a contract gig, and then got hired on permanent. In addition, my wife and I had a couple of side hustles that had a bit of money coming in, but had some write offs as well. With all of that going on, I was not inclined to use a program to try and get all of that done correctly, so we reached out to Midwest for help. It was quick and relatively possible....John took about 45 minutes, then followed up on a few things. By the end of the week, our taxes were complete and we actually had a decent refund coming from both state and federal, and his fee was quite reasonable. Is you don't want to do your own taxes, check out midwest accounting, they helped us, maybe they can help you too.

I wish I could make this up. Tony never filed our 2025 Nebraska State return!…read more It is now 5 months later from my previous review. All of the problems began when we initially filed the 2025 taxes and were waiting on the returns from those filings. I have been asking Tony for the past few months where the 2025 Nebraska State return is (over $2800!!!)...according to him, he would give them a call and find out. Well I was tired of waiting and gave them a call myself. It took me exactly 60 seconds to get a live representative on the phone but Tony will give you a whole story about the Nebraska Department of Revenue office being short staffed and it's SO hard to get ahold of them. I gave the nice lady on the phone all of my information and she kindly informed me that they did not have a 2025 return on file. This is now the second year that Tony NEVER FILED THE RETURN!!!!! Run as fast and as far as you can. Unless you want to be paying for late fees and penalties due to Tony's negligence! And he will not take responsibilities for those fees and compensate you. He will just claim that he'll file an abatement and "it will all work itself out". The last abatement that he filed for the 2023 federal tax return somehow never went through so I, once again, had to call the IRS myself and they were able to handle the whole thing over the phone in less than 30 minutes. They informed me that only so much could be forgiven in that process. The total ended up being $1088.92 taken from my 2025 federal return to pay off the late fees/penalties in 2023, they forgave $790.57...which means the final $298.35 should be covered by Tony due to failure to file. Nope! Anytime I even bring up that he needs to let us know how we will be compensated, he acts like there's some additional steps that can be taken to get that money back because he sure as heck isn't going to pay it! Who knows what is going to happen now with the 2025 state return but I guess we shall wait and see. What makes all of this even better is knowing how much more this is going to cost me to have a REAL professional review the shoddy workmanship being done by this firm over the past few years.

I have to say I was so surprised to receive a phone call from a representative Barb that I spoke to a couple of days ago. I have to have some test done on my heart, and the approval was originally denied. I spoke to a couple other representatives but Barb took the time to call me back today and let me know that the approval went through. This has Blown my mind. I used to wait hours, days and months to get phone calls back or speak to a representative from previous insurance companies in California. I sometimes went without medication and would have to wait to have test and procedures done for months at a time. It will come to the point where my nephrologist would call with me to get something done or help me get what I needed. It was extremely frustrating at times so I want to let you know how amazing your representatives are. This insurance company is wonderful if you're looking around, I would not hesitate.

After everything was said and done with my auto insurance, the price was $50 cheaper than my current company with better coverage! I couldn't believe it. My home insurance was a few hundred dollars higher, but it came with much better coverage. It was well worth it because of Amy's customer service and patience with me--lol. I would much rather pay a little more for wonderful customer service, where I can speak to a representative, than pay less and have to track someone down.
