    My wife and I have used world travel before with decent results, but recently we had an exception…read more Mind you, we are not seasoned world travelers. We've been to Italy but only used WT for the airline tickets, which we thought they did a good job. However, we recently saw a Rick Steves tour of Scotland, so we booked the tour and only needed help with airline tickets. Given our last experience we thought "good to go!" Not so. Calls were not returned (strike one), when we did finally get a telephone appointment, which the agent suggested the time, via email, we said ok, in reply to her email. She asked if we wanted to call her or have her call us. I said for her to call us and provided my phone number. At the appointed time we sat and waited, no call (strike two). When I emailed her again she said she hadn't received our reply. Note again, it was in reply to her email. I reached out to her again via the same email system and then again. She replied to the second one (still using the same email system) that my email had gone into their junk file. That is not the kind of reply I expected or an email system that is conducive to quality customer care (strike three). As noted, we are not world travelers, we weren't booking a cruise, just needed some help. The episode was stressful. If our request didn't generate the kind of revenue they expect they should have just said so and we would have moved on.

Keep in mind I have made this trip 3 times before, so I am familiar with all of the airports we were in, and my mother and I are both experienced travelers. Diana was incapable of meeting any of the requests we made of her. Even the simplest requests. For example, we wanted to sit next to each other and she for some reason did not book us together on any flights despite the fact that we paid a fee to reserve seats early. On our trip home, we arrived at the Mwanza, Tanzania airport to check into our flight (at 6 am TZ time) and come to find out Diana did not even book us on the flight. We had to buy new tickets even though we had already paid her for our original seats. When we called World Travel to ask for help resolving the issue, we were charged $20 for calling after hours (and received no help!) This is the short list of problems (related to booking) we had. There are too many others to even include in this review. DO NOT USE WORLD TRAVEL!!!!
