I'm writing this review now because I no longer frequent the Salon. I was going here on and off for several years until their business practices felt a little shady to me. Every time I would go in, I was not given prices before we started. The inconsistency with the pricing and what I was charged was constant. When I went in to get my nails done in February, the male technician listened to what I had to say and after he was halfway done, he finally told me my nails would cost $107, including the nail art and refill of acrylic. Now, I understand that it is painstaking work to paint on nails, but I did not request anything outlandish . When I asked the technician why it cost so much he told me that "because my nails were a specific length, My refills would be $52 and the nail art itself was $55. Now, I will post a photo of what was done because it was gorgeous. I got many compliments on it, but the amount that they charged this last and final time really made me upset. I did go to another nail salon in between the last time there in February where the prices were even higher and I had the same issue. I will be going back and updating that review as well, but as for this location, I will never go back there. I truly enjoyed When the technicians were upfront, they didn't overcharge me for everything, and I didn't get green underneath my nail. Told my nail tech I wanted to make my nails a little shorter and keep the almond shape, which can't be done with short nails. She cut them far too short and when I pointed it out she kept the other hand a bit longer but that left my nails being uneven. Someone else had to come finish my nails but damage was done. They offered to put tips on but I had been growing my nails out for months because I didn't want to use any artificial nails. So wildly disappointed. read more

Located at the corner of a shopping plaza In Coral Springs. There is plenty parking during the daytime which is always desirable. I had a 2pm mani-pedi appt, and arrived a little before 2p. You check in at the desk using your cellphone number. Incidentally, you can book appointments online (yay!). I was seated a little after 2p with my tech who did both my mani and pedi. Quick, efficient, and ensuring I got exactly what I wanted ie: nail shape, color etc. salon is pretty big with it length of stations. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth it! read more

The workers here are so rude! My nail tech called me broke because I asked for regular polish. The "manager" even came over and tried convincing me to get gel. They said the regular polish wouldn't come out as nice. Then why are you providing that service??? I think he purposefully did my nails bad and rushed them because I wanted regular polish. This is why I do my nails at home! Never again. read more

If the receptionist brings you to Tim, ask for someone else, he seems like he just started doing nails. He was drawing designs on my nails and wouldn't make sure they were even and I had to keep asking him to fix them. I ended up changing the design because it was coming out so bad. Very frustrating experience, especially when all the employees hover and ask questions and are talking about you/your nails. The lady who does eyebrows came up and started talking very aggressively and another employee asked her to walk away in a "let it go" manner. I do not recommend this place at all. Don't come here. Within two days of my fill, one of my nails had started cracking at the top and gel polish started peeling. Was top on the phone they would fix with no problem. Once I got to the location, Tom fixed my nail and polish and had a bad attitude being quick and aggressive. Ended up being charged for the nail again! Won't be back. read more

I got a dip powder less than a week ago with Richard. I was told that when the dip was being applied that it was new brand they were testing out and if anything chips to come back. I called the morning of 12/28 to inform Ty who answered the phone and he told me to just come in and he will take me as a walk in & I will be taken right away. I left work earlier because my work schedule can be hectic at times to make sure I arrive at a reasonable hour. Upon walking in Ty told me that Richard just started a another client and I would have to wait 45 mins. Due to my work schedule and where I live I couldn't wait the hour or drive home to arrive back to not be guaranteed to be taken right away. I tried to ask for maybe a credit of some sort to use at my next visit because this is a big inconvenience to me that I took time out of my day and left work early when I was to Ty who co-owns the salon with Ella( Manager) that he doesn't want to speak with me anymore that he just a "nail tech". And just did a hand gesture to move away from him. He did this is front of the whole salon and the embarrassment that I felt was crazy and unbelievable. ( I really wished I recorded the way he spoke to me) I spoke Ella she wasn't much help and basically told me the same thing that I had to wait. But most importantly was they way I was spoken to especially being a customer for a long time before they took over the business which was sometime in 2020. This was the first nail salon I've used since I moved to FL and it's sad to say that I just have to find a new place. ****UPDATE**** On another platform the owner responded to my review In probably one of the most unprofessional way I have ever seen. He said I was a "nobody" and he deleted the comment but luckily I took a screenshot and I will report to the BBB. read more

I was in need of pedicure and dip powder, called on a Sunday to see if they had any availability and altho they were fully booked they still made time for me! So many colors to choose from and my nails were done by Lilly, they came out perfect! She was soooo sweet and I really liked how she shaped my nails. The entire staff was so friendly. Always good quality here. My gel polish lasts at least 3 weeks. I paid 60.00 for a gel manicure and upgraded pedicure that included a bit more moisturizing and scrubbing. The establishment is clean and I never have an issue calling ahead to make sure there is availability for me( I don't like making appointments but I also don't like waiting.. ya I know). I've been coming to Lux for a few years now. I've never had a bad experience. They are very attentive, efficient, and detail oriented. They try there best to give you what you ask for and work with you if for whatever reason they aren't able to do a design. Today I went in to do nails for a fairycore/grunge concert. I had 3 images for inspiration and told them I want very light green nails, with dark green lines, and butterflies (I used images that were close but not exact) and Danny, the nail tech, was superb at getting me what I wanted. He showed me samples of the colors before starting and even placed some mixed powder on his own nail to show me what the outcome would be. I usually do not leave bad reviews but I felt like I needed to today. This is my second time I've been to this salon and for the second time they've disappointed. The nail technician was super sweet, very attentive and it was overall a pleasant experience but the quality of work or product really takes away from this being a return spot for me. It's only been a week since my visit and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary with my hands and the gel polish has started to peel. Not just from one nail but from several. I went today to get my nails done at this place and I was very nervous being that I'm looking around for a nail tech. I told them my last concerns from my last place to avoid the same issue.... I got a REG PEDI and Overlay ONE COLOR and Chrome.... Oh they did remove my last overlay.... I definitely mentioned I hated how the last tech did my shape....I get them done...And the shape still looks the same on some nails...On top of he didn't clean my nails cut down my cuticles just literally took my overlay off and put the new one on with file....The chrome does NOT shine like Chrome.... The reason I took the overlay off was to allow the new tech to do a new overlay and for him to be able to file them correctly...I was happy with the tech super pleasant and respectful however I was not happy with my nails....I get to the register to pay and they charged me OVER 100 for my REG PEDI a new over lay with just nail polish and chrome..... The ripped me off... I calculated the prices and I shouldn't have been charged a whole 20 bucks JUST FOR CHROME my nails shouldn't have came out to over 100 for what I got.... My usual tech charges 120 for FULL SET INCLUDING DESIGN AND STONES AND REG PEDI. I was recommended by different people and decided to give them a try.... Never again... The 115 was definitely NOT worth it. My nails look like they are dinosaur nails or something... If you look at both pictures I EDITED THEM so it looks decent however you can see the mess on my cuticles you can't even tell it's chrome if I didn't mention it..... Totally not worth what I paid for!!!!! Super disappointed. read more

I am highly annoyed with this nail shop as this is not my first unpleasant experience with this nail salon. I've been coming here for year's & honestly the service has gone down hill. I booked an appt through the website and when I arrive the lady tried to sit me with technicians that I didn't book with. So she sits me with the lady I booked for the pedicure. Then proceeds to tell me the person that was supposed to do my nails isn't there and was going to do sit me with someone that couldn't do what I asked for. So I had to settle for a mediocre gel manicure which I am sure will start peeling off soon. (due to the carelessness of the tech and previous experience) I've had my nails done by pretty much all the nail techs in this place and I know who works for me and who doesn't. was getting my nails done and I've already came here twice and thought it was great but this time I booked and I put for whatever artist and I got kaiya and I was being nice to her and she seemed very standoffish from the start. when it came time to actually looking at my toes at the end cause she seemed so off I started to peep some nails were cut slanted and my pink is small but not so small the way she did it. I've never seen my pinky ever look this small. EVER IN MY LIFE. I got in the car to show my mom to make sure I wasn't going crazy and she's never seen my pinky that small. not even the guy who did them last time ever did it this small. this set is very important as its for my pregnancy photo shoot ON THE BEACH where my toes will be all out. I definitely need to find a new place. if you don't like your job just don't work here don't give that stand off energy to ur clients cause it definitely shows in your work. very disappointed and last time I'm coming here. now have to find a new place. read more

The music is soothing, the water baths have bags for sanitary reasons and I was pleased. I will definitely go back. Mans SLAYED MY NAILS YALL!!! i got dip and it was my first time so i was kinda nervous , but i am OBSESSED. The man i got was super nice and the music they played inside the salon was very good (HELLA SUMMER WALKER) All and all good experience, only gave it 4/5 because the S i had gotten drawn on my nails was a little messy and while he was filing my pinky finger i got cut. Did a bad job and came back to get fixed but they want me to pay $40 on top of what I already paid. My two of my nails lifted after a week of getting them done and my polish has bubbles all over. Best nail experience ever!! I came in for the first time to get my nails done with Richard and I was blown away. He was so thoughtful, kind, and took into account my nail shape. I'd gotten dip before at other salons and they always looked so thick, but he informed me about the proper way to do dip on my nail shape and made them look so natural. It's now been over a month and they still look flawless. Going in to see Richard again next week and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. So, I've lived in Coral Springs for almost 4 years and I got tired of driving to Hollywood to get my nails done. Stopped into Lux on 4/13 for a set of dips and a pedi. It was a 45 min wait, so I waited. The lady that sit nearest the register did my nails and burnt me 3 times in the process of removing my old dips. However, she did a great job. While waiting for the pedicure, a roach crawled across the floor. Pedicure left A LOT to be desired and the lady digs into the hangnails like she's digging for gold. My feet are still rough as if I didn't just have a pedicure done. I'm leaving this review on 4/14 because it literally took less than 24 hours for one of my nails to break after just having them done. They were accommodating in fixing the broke nail, while taking amongst themselves in their language. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place, nor will 8 return in the future 4/16 Update: it's been 3 days since we had our nails done here. My toes are already chipping, as are my daughters. Additionally, her gel mani is already beginning to peel. Never again! I guess there's a reason they have a sign up that says "NO REFUNDS!" 4/19 Update: my other thumbnail has now broke (photo attached), and 2 more of my toes have chipped polish. Seriously ladies, go elsewhere. This place is a joke, and a ripoff. Not worth the price AT ALL! read more

6 days after I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure 2 of my nails had chipped. I did not do anything that caused them to chip. A gel manicure should last a minimum of 2 weeks. Unfortunately I am going out of town for 4th of July weekend and do not have the time to get them fixed. The fact that 2 nails chipped at the same time means that this was sub par work. I've been going to this salon for about 3 years now. It's only about 10 minutes from where I work. I've stayed coming here because everyone has always done such a great job. I'm not insanely picky for the most part, but everyone always helps me out to make sure I'm happy! I was only ever unhappy for one experience, because i wanted the glazed donut nails that were trending. The only issue was the language barrier with the nail tech, and i had told her specific ways of how to get the look, and she kind of went against that. The nails were still beautiful granted, but it gets to be a little frustrating when it wasn't what you asked for. That's okay though, I get treated very well here. :) read more

Happen to be in Coral Springs and stopped here for a refill and pedis. Welcomed by the team and sat for our pedis first. We were asked whT type of pedis we were interested in and they went right to it. Pedis were done with attention to the cuticles good massages and a good amount of time and effort on our heels. Paint was nicely applied. The refill on my hands was done by someone else. He told pride in his work and fixed areas that needed fixing not rushing through the refill. First and foremost I'm an EXTREMELY picky person when it comes to my nails. I met the owner Ty maybe 2 or 3 years ago at a previous salon and from that day on he has been my nail tech ever since! He is detailed, particular & KNOWS HIS CRAFT. I recommend him & his salon to any and everyone because every single person in that salon because they are GOOD.
