I always go for a pedicure with my family and not only do they manage to accommodate the many of us that make it in at once, every time we go, it's such a nice experience. From the ambiance to the complimentary drinks (wine, soda, water) you can definitely tell that they put thought into each experience. For this specific experience, I went for a gel pedicure to prep for vacation they have a new updated system where you can actually place your order of service at a kiosk and then take it up to the counter to be seated! It was simple and easy! Not only that, but my two other people I was with were running a bit behind from our original appt time. And while I was worried for a moment they would cancel our appt, they didn't rush us at all! Overall a great experience, the only downside for me is the distance it is from central Dallas! Haha! I came here last minute because my usual nail shop closed for the day unexpectedly. This place is cute and very spacious but never again. Customer service was pretty decent but the actual service and quality was whatever is below sub par. I got the Classic Spa Pedicure and I would hardly call it a pedicure. What I experienced was cuticle cleaning and probably a 10-second foot scrub. I am not sure where the "Callus care" came into effect. I walked out with shiny toes and less than soft feet. Went to lux nails with my teen today. The servise was horrible. All I wanted was to treat my daughter and I to a manicure... however, we were shunned by two employees because we didnt want Jell nails or acrylic. Finally somebody took us but with bare minimum service. I asked for my nails to be buffed. However that was not done. Pedicure, took forever and paid almost sixty dollars for a of a job. I took my own OPI polish the color I like, they tried to convince me to get a gel color and said OPI was not a good polish, I chuckled to myself. I been a cosmetologist since 1988 and just wanted someone else to do my pedicure but never again, especially since there is a BLACKOUT with these people. I had a very unpleasant experience at your salon today, and I wanted to bring it to your attention because I normally come here all the time and have never had issues before. I was given a new nail tech, which was completely fine with me, but the experience overall was very disappointing. I asked for a drink and the nail tech verbally acknowledged me and said she was new and needed to find it, but never got up. I had to ask three times before the hostess walking by was finally asked to help. During the pedicure, the nail tech completely forgot to scrub my feet until I reminded her, and she responded with "oh yeah, I forgot." On top of that, the polish was not painted fully on the sides of my toenails. At that point, I honestly didn't even want to continue with the pedicure.  I don't even blame the nail tech entirely because she's new. I blame the lack of proper training and support from whoever is responsible for preparing staff. What made the situation worse was when I politely explained my concerns to the hostess up front, her response was simply, "next time don't request her," which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I'm disappointed because I've been a loyal customer, and I expected the concerns to be handled with more care and accountability. read more

I got my nails done on Dec. 20, by Dec. 24 I was losing 1-2 nails per day. I went back in on Dec. 28 with six nails left. i explained that I had started losing the nails on the fourth day. I handed them the receipt and they asked me to wait until my original technician was available, and he would redo them. They charged me $5 per nail. Took no accountability for the nails falling off after four days. I left with black polish on my fingers, not just my nails. The evening of Dec. 28 the one nail that didn't pop off on my right hand popped off, and the second nail on the left hand has popped off. Fancy neighborhood retreat (: I've always had an amazing experience and the ladies are so sweet. I get the very cheapest (standard pedicure with polish) came here all throughout my pregnancy because I could reach my toes and now coming with my son to relax. It's been great. My mom has a wedding this weekend and decided to get her nails done. She got home with a really bummed out look on her face and asked me to look at her nails. It looks worse than when my 10 year old daughter does them. She said the lady was rushing the whole time and quickly did her nails and when my mom mentioned how bad they looked the lady said "you're too picky"They then handed my mom a nail file for her to fix the nails herself while the lady went and sat down. Even without an extensive experience in this area I immediately knew Lux Nail was a cut above. I had things done I have no idea what they were. Tish picked out something from their menu, I can't tell you exactly what was done. I had a bag of gushy stuff for each foot. I had a delightful warmth around my neck and hot rocks for my legs. I have extremely sensitive feet and other than an occasional tickle I was totally comfortable when my feet were attacked. My feet haven't felt this good in a long time. I'm just sayin' - I was impressed with the professionalism. I appreciate the cleanliness. The whole package was a like-to-come-back experience. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy yourself there as well. Had a dip powder manicure with David, and he's great. But my pedicure Loan, was not so great. I asked for the deluxe pedicure, and it includes a 12 min massage, she did about 7, but what really got me was her painting job... she didn't cover some of my toenails, and didn't even clean around, even after I asked if she could clean it. Definitely didn't feel like paying for the deluxe pedicure, or at all if I could. Don't like to be mean, maybe she was on a bad day... but wouldn't ask for her again. THE WORST PLACE TO EVER GO!!! Let's start off with the owner/manager TONY he is so rude he is cursing at you slamming his clip board around. The Hispanic girl in the first chair is extremely rude and unprofessional. I came to do my nails on a Thursday as soon as I left the nail shop my gel nail polish chipped off. I called them and I let them know that I was on my way to a trip and I couldn't go back to fix my now. They went on and said I could come back and fix my nail I come back and they told me that I have to pay an additional $50 I tell them why would I want gel again if it chipped off already. As I'm telling the owner Tony this his worker on the first chair makes a statement saying " do you like your nails we don't like BROKE people over here" I literally was so appalled that I left and now I'm leaving them a bad review I will never come to this nail place again and I will never say anything good about this place and I will never recommend this place to anybody be careful with these people they are scammers and are rude!!!!!! It is a nice mail salon & the guy at the desk is friendly. I asked for a full set & Jessica did my nails. I asked for a full set and a gel pedicure. I asked the girl who did my full set to put a new, clean sanding bit on. I'm not about having other people's nail "stuff" on mine. I ask so asked for rounded square. I had to point out a few things to have my nails done the way I WANTED them done (like tips that cover my whole mail edge) & I could tell she didn't care for that. She told me if I wanted them rounded then they would be "rounded" instead of "square rounded". As if I have never had my nails done. She then began talking to her coworker (not in English). So annoying and uncomfortable. I ended up sharp square nails. I then went to get my pedicure and more closely inspected my full set and found a huge glop of acrylic under one of my nails. Didn't she see this while filing under my nails? Anyway. The girl who did my pedicure barely spoke English and this bothers me only because there's a language barrier & it makes it harder to explain what I want. Anyway! Since Lux is near our place and we love luxe in our nail salons babe and I decided to stop by. If you're used to a lil "wine and dine" with your mani-pedi, beware they only have minimal wine options and soft drinks; we are used to mimosas and martinis but JUN was amazing for me, just wish whomever worked on my babe was as attentive and sweet. We opted for the gold and fresh fruits pedicure, my fresh fruits was unique and fragrant. I've never had lime, orange and cucumbers and aloe rubbed all over my feet and legs! Enjoyed the paraffin wax, got a good scrub, hot stone massage and polish. When we were done Jun also did my full dip-set and she was fast, gentle and did an amazing job. Unfortunately the new management was a bit unprofessional, constantly interrupting my appointment to nag Jun and ask questions about scheduling (do that at the start or end of a shift or appointment!) so I felt kinda bad. I imagine they are often so busy, but if you don't treat your amazing employees well they will leave!!! I hope Jun is here when I request my next appointment if I need a spa day and don't go with babe to our usual place in Cedar Springs. Took one star off becuz babe wasn't impressed :/. Went in for a basic set and the technician pushed for me to get dipped nails. I informed him I just wanted the basic he insisted that they won't last as long...he then proceeded to do my nails so thin that 2 of them are basically just the tips he glued on. Both have bent already in less than 4 hrs. The man at reception(seemed to be the owner) was very nice. The technical was not rude but did not do a good job and I'm not sure if it was on purpose. Next Day: I went back and it was fixed. It was obvious however that they were talking about it and the technician was complaining the whole time in his native language and making snarky remarks (still insisting I should have gotten dipped...so he doesn't believe in himself to do a good job with acrylic?) I hadn't had this issue with previous technician elsewhere and they lasted 3+ weeks. That technician was just a longer drive to get to. They are crazy expensive, we got three sets of acrylics and we payed 203 plus 10 dollar tips. My nails were pretty simple, my friends nails were messed up, and they were pretty clumpy and Mis-shaped. They started doing our nails before even asking/telling us the price. We would've gone somewhere else if we knew how much it was. Every time I asked him to fix something he messed up on he would mumble under his breath in another language to the girl sitting next to him. Would not recommend this place at all. EDIT: I got my nails done a week and 1/2 ago, 6 of them have fallen off. They are very brittle and even when I'm putting cloths away they had fallen off... 2nd Edit: We went in today to talk to the manager about my nails and he said that the liquid they used for the acrylic was expired. He said that they would redo them for free but I'd have to get shorter nails due to loosing most of it from the previous ones breaking off. That was fine with me and I got a different design cause the other one just made me feel ugh.
