He's experienced, and has a backup plan for every scenario, which made us feel very confident in him. - Brian was very easy going and open to suggestions during our engagement shoot. He made us feel much less awkward than we did going in. - Our wedding day was a blast and Brian and our second shooter (Luke) went with the flow for the sudden weather changes (which made our planned outdoor locations less than ideal) and were quick to adapt for every lighting scenario in our mostly dark venue. They made everyone feel at ease, even this high-strung-but-trying-to-be-chill bride. Brian and Luke got some amazing shots and did some really awesome edits / tricks with lighting which made for some very memorable photos. (We've gotten a lot of compliments!) - We got previews of our photos and the photos themselves very quickly after the wedding (within a month we had all the photos digitally, and only a couple weeks after that we had our little highlight video). Brian was flexible and accommodating throughout! Family was running late because of snow - no problem, he popped out to see his grandmother for a bit and then came back. The surroundings in the activity room were less than glamorous - no problem, he figured out shots that did not accentuate the flowered carpet. Some family members were having trouble because of the large numbers of people in the activity room - no problem, he took pictures out in the hallway. He even hung out and ate soup after the pictures were done AND agreed to pose in a picture with my aunt (which I took and made the final cut!). Brian delivered a beautiful and thoughtful assortment of pictures that included every single family member multiple times and really captured the mood of the occasion. I am so grateful!

I have more photos of my feet than photos of my husband and I alone, both looking at the camera. They had to photoshop a photo of my husband and I into existence and what I received was so bad, it was not print quality per an independent third party printer. ETA: other important / basic shots were missed including ones from the shot list, things like the back of the bride in her wedding dress, veil shots. When our photographer came, she did not seem happy to be there and it is shown in our photos. They also completely botched our first look - they had it in a place that was extremely public after I said I didn't want that and they were running behind. The photographer who was supposed to be capturing my husband's reaction (told me when to go) completely missed it. Thank God for my videographer because their screen captures were the only decent thing that I have from my wedding in terms of stills. I had a nightmare of an experience, including being delivered low quality, blurry, and out of focus photos that was not made right by the owners. In fact, I was treated so badly that another person who regularly hires professional photographers was shocked and horrified when she had tried to have a conversation with them on my behalf. The worst part is they tried to sell these photos taken from a million miles back and blurry, low quality, and washed out photos, and tried to tell me they were 'fine' and they were doing a new editing style... one that I was not informed of after signing my contract, but also that just wasn't true. Additionally, their contract states that they crop the photos for distractions. Mine were not despite pointing out many many many photos with this problem. There was no care as to the editing process. They were highly unprofessional and tried to ghost me for weeks rather than just addressing the issue. There were so many unreturned emails and questions unanswered. If they would've said, here's how we can make this right and we're sorry, it would've made a huge difference. My other vendors who viewed the product I was delivered said that this was subpar, unacceptable, and unusable. It was a nightmare working with them and they are highly unprofessional. As an aside, they don't retouch their photos without a fee, just color edit. There are better deals elsewhere where you will get actually retouched photos. This comment where they offer to help is totally disingenuous. I asked for help multiple times as it happened. I asked for help and I was ignored and in fact, treated terribly and was told that "I just didn't know what I was looking at and I must be overwhelmed" only to be told by the owner himself he never even looked at the photos. Yes 2 years later I'm upset, because they ruined a once in a lifetime event and this comment just reflects that to them it's been 2 years now, but the fact that it's your once in a lifetime event was of no consequence. Also the throes of wedding season was also dishonest... it was fall 2020.. everything was closed. there were no weddings. Avoid.

Lauren was responsive to…read morecommunication and delivered our photographs in the time frame that she committed to (2 weeks). The session was scheduled for an hour, however it started raining on the day of our shoot, so it shortened to 50 minutes, with the last 10-15 minutes of pictures taken in the rain (aka unhappy toddler). Lauren did not offer to reschedule. When we approached her about the session running short, her solution was for us to purchase an additional mini session. In addition, despite claiming to specialize in family photography, we found Lauren to be somewhat inexperienced and not very engaging with children. In the past when we have worked with lifestyle photographers (N=3), we have received some direction: "Lean in a bit, hold your head closer, tickle your daughter." I am holding our daughter quite unnaturally in many of the portraits and Lauren did not provide any instruction or feedback for this. When she took a few isolated portraits of our 14 month old daughter, she really made no attempts to interact with her to get any smiles. In the end, it was most disappointing that we tried to resolve our concerns with Lauren and her response was, "the photos delivered were consistent with my brand of more naturally posed family portraits. I can offer you a mini session (20 minutes, 8 edited high-resolution digital images) for $175 to capture another family portrait." We will not be using her for any of our family photography needs in the future. Of note, she seems to have removed the "reviews" feature from her facebook page, which makes me question if we are not her only dissatisfied customer.
