We hired them for our wedding and it is my biggest regret from my wedding day. I left without a decent up-close portrait of my husband and I from 10+ hours of coverage and hardly any, in general. I have more photos of my feet than photos of my husband and I alone, both looking at the camera. They had to photoshop a photo of my husband and I into existence and what I received was so bad, it was not print quality per an independent third party printer. ETA: other important / basic shots were missed including ones from the shot list, things like the back of the bride in her wedding dress, veil shots. When our photographer came, she did not seem happy to be there and it is shown in our photos. They also completely botched our first look - they had it in a place that was extremely public after I said I didn't want that and they were running behind. The photographer who was supposed to be capturing my husband's reaction (told me when to go) completely missed it. Thank God for my videographer because their screen captures were the only decent thing that I have from my wedding in terms of stills. I had a nightmare of an experience, including being delivered low quality, blurry, and out of focus photos that was not made right by the owners. In fact, I was treated so badly that another person who regularly hires professional photographers was shocked and horrified when she had tried to have a conversation with them on my behalf. The worst part is they tried to sell these photos taken from a million miles back and blurry, low quality, and washed out photos, and tried to tell me they were 'fine' and they were doing a new editing style... one that I was not informed of after signing my contract, but also that just wasn't true. Additionally, their contract states that they crop the photos for distractions. Mine were not despite pointing out many many many photos with this problem. There was no care as to the editing process. They were highly unprofessional and tried to ghost me for weeks rather than just addressing the issue. There were so many unreturned emails and questions unanswered. If they would've said, here's how we can make this right and we're sorry, it would've made a huge difference. My other vendors who viewed the product I was delivered said that this was subpar, unacceptable, and unusable. It was a nightmare working with them and they are highly unprofessional. As an aside, they don't retouch their photos without a fee, just color edit. There are better deals elsewhere where you will get actually retouched photos. This comment where they offer to help is totally disingenuous. I asked for help multiple times as it happened. I asked for help and I was ignored and in fact, treated terribly and was told that "I just didn't know what I was looking at and I must be overwhelmed" only to be told by the owner himself he never even looked at the photos. Yes 2 years later I'm upset, because they ruined a once in a lifetime event and this comment just reflects that to them it's been 2 years now, but the fact that it's your once in a lifetime event was of no consequence. Also the throes of wedding season was also dishonest... it was fall 2020.. everything was closed. there were no weddings. Avoid. read more

They were impeccable when it came to ensuring everything was well-prepared for the wedding, they were extremely flexible when we had to continuously reschedule due to the pandemic, and they were all just generally pleasant in all our interactions. These guys are the best. Our first encounter with Eron and Front Room was actually a friend's wedding that we travelled back to WI for. We noticed pretty quickly both how charming and professional Eron was throughout the evening, then when we saw the photos that came from that night we were blown away. Flash forward a few years, we had decided to have our wedding back in WI, in Milwaukee, and were beginning the long search for wedding photographers. One piece of advice we've gotten from multiple people over the years -- get a good photographer. Having someone with a true eye and sophisticated taste, to capture these moments that flash by in an instant, is honestly one of the best places you can put your money. We stumbled across Front Room in our own search, and realized that was the same place that did our friend's wedding. Even without having that in-person experience with them, looking at the quality of their work it seemed pretty obvious that they were in a league all their own. We decided these guys were our only choice, and wanted to work with Eron. We could not be happier with this decision. The whole experience leading up to the wedding was great, Eron was an absolutely pleasure to work with, and so thoughtful. When it came to the wedding day, we couldn't imagine having anyone else other than Eron and his team following us around. You don't really realize how much time you'll be spending with your photographer on the day-of until you do it; and having the right kind of energy around you in that capacity could honestly make or break the experience. Eron was incredible; present and guiding when needed, unseen and ninja-like when not. Eron bobbed through the crowd like a beast stalking its prey (not in a creepy way) and captured some truly amazing candid moments. I sent an internet inquiry about pricing and was still weighing my options. At 4:30 on a Thursday Eron called to follow up, pretty nice thing to do. I was in a work meeting and unable to answer the phone. He proceeded to call 3 times in a row and then left a message. He then continued to call and call and I was ignoring his call from my watch. By 5:00pm I had 17 Missed calls and he was still calling!!!!! I understand you are eager to book business but take a hint! after all # 12 I sent a text stating I was in a meeting and to stop calling. He called right away again. I did not appreciate this behavior and it was disturbing to my work meeting. This actually freaked me out and I blocked his number. No way I would use this company. 17 calls! Really! read more

Neil and Eron photographed my engagement proposal, and I cannot say enough good things about them. In contacting them they responded right away, were able to come up with a proposal right away, and let me know what they can or cannot do right up front. They even offered suggestions on how to stay within the budget I wanted. They met with me a few days before my proposal and offered several suggestions to make the (eventual) photographs better. At the time of the proposal they were discreet and hid in the background to get good pictures. I don't know much about photography, but they took EXCELLENT night time photographs(which I've since heard is very difficult.) Throughout the whole process they were professional and wonderful to work with. They were expensive, but I highly recommend them to photograph your event. read more

I know that I can't be the only one in love with my Front Room experience! When I sat down to make my wedding budget, I promised myself that my big expenses were going to be my dress and my photographers. I wanted to look/feel amazing and I wanted pictures to remember all of it. I also wanted a photographer with a not uber-traditional take on weddings and styles of photos (a cross between photo journalism and high fashion). Also, I'm super picky, having been a make up artist for many years prior to going into medicine. So, when my wedding planner introduced me to photographers, she knew who my favorite was before I did. Clearly, 4 photogs into it, there wasn't even a choice to be made. I sat down with Eron and Calfa to discuss everything and knew by that conversation that these were going to be the people I wanted to shoot my wedding. Easy-going, dedicated, down-to-earth, and they spent the time to get to know me and my style. Looking through the albums they have in the studio makes you want to be a Front Room Bride. Every wedding, big or small, expensive or tight budget, those brides looked stunning, grooms were handsome and Front Room captured all the details that every bride spends HOURS UPON HOURS making perfect. Seriously, these guys are magical. Okay, so they're a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. This is true in EVERY service industry, wedding photography is no different. If you spend $500, you get $500 worth of pictures/album, etc. If you spend $10,000, you get $10,000 worth of pictures/albums, etc. What Front Room does not skimp on, no matter the price tag, is quality of images and service. Eron and Neil (ultimately, these are the guys who shot our rehearsal dinner and wedding) are dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Eron answered my emails at all hours of the night, while he was in Indonesia, on his kid's birthday. If I happened to call after hours and leave a message, my phone calls were returned within minutes of business hours (if I hadn't already received an email). Eron spent the rehearsal dinner and all day with my hubby the day of the wedding and never once let it slip that I was going to walk down the aisle in a RED DRESS. Within 4 days of our wedding, there were "teaser" pictures up on Facebook and within 2 weeks of the wedding, we had CD's with all of the digital copies of our 1500 pictures. My friends and family who attended the wedding were amazed that Neil and Eron were really able to capture the mood, drama, atmosphere and love that was my wedding day. I cannot say enough wonderful things about these guys or the work that they do. My husband and I use and recommend Front Room every chance we get. You should, too. read more

Before my wife and I married a couple of years ago, we decided we were going to try to use as many businesses and locations from the Bay View neighborhood in Milwaukee as possible. Front Room Photography was the biggest disappointment. Don't get me wrong: the photography itself was very good, but the overall experience left much to be desired. Our photographer, Mark, was great. We hit if off immediately and couldn't have asked for anything more in our photographer. The problems, I felt, came in after we decided to order just one photo album and not one of their high-end packages. My wife and I both felt like we were a low priority as a result, and felt brushed off a number of times. The album arrived literally months past when they said it would be done, and the specific font we asked they use and emailed to them at their request wasn't used. A few months after the wedding we call to inquire about the album and were told that it would be ready in about a month, they're a little behind. Each subsequent time we called we were told the same thing. About seven months after our wedding we received the album. The album looks nice, and we had say in which photos were used and their placement. High quality paper was used, and it's in the form of an over-sized hard cover book. They forgot to give us the DVD with the photos; I had to go back and request it. They send it a few days later, with the photos on a DVD in large jpg file format. If I had to do it over again I'd probably shop around more before choosing someone. There may be someone better than Front Room in Milwaukee, but we chose them exclusively based on their location and reputation. However, there's no denying the talent of their photographers. read more

Recently had Eron and Neil shoot our engagement, wedding and day after pictures. We have been working with them since our engagement (about a year and half ago.) I could not be happier with how everything has turned out! Looking through other peoples wedding books and engagement shoots I truly see what amazing artists the are. So many other photographs only do staged photos. This team captured every true moment of our days and it shows in the pictures. The laughter, the happy tears etc. These are the moments you want to see in your pictures. Something else that I didnt even realize until it was happening is how they are on the "front" lines of technology. They blog, they instagram, they post to facebook and have amazing USB drives they send out. Everything is top notch and way above other photographers we looked at. My husband and I prioritized our wedding wishes and decided that the best way for us to remember our day would be through photos. It was an easy choice with Front Room Photography after meeting Eron at the Madison Bridal show at the Overture Center and seeing their work. The photos speak for themselves. We loved the unique take on the environment, our family photos and finally, the photos of us, husband and wife. They captured moments we didn't even know were there. We worked with Eron and Neil on our day and couldn't have been happier with their professionalism, quirky sense of fun and humor and their interaction with our families and guests. They were engaging not obstructing. I prefer email as a way to communicate and found that to be the best way to work with vendors throughout our wedding planning process. My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Front Room Photography for both our engagement session and wedding day. My husband and I decided that the photography was most important to us. We looked at several places before deciding on Front Room. We are very happy with our decision. Eron, Jaden, and Niki were energetic and fun. We had a very large wedding party with 8 bridesmaids,7 groomsmen, and 3 ushers. Our wedding day started early with make up and hair around 9am and ended around midnight. The crew was incredibly professional (never showed any annoyance with my paritally-intoxicated, unruly bridal party!) Many guests commented on how nice and friendly the photographers were. They created amazing shots in several interesting locations. We chose Front Room initially for their amazing pictures, but Eron, Jaden, and Niki made our wedding day photography fun and easy. We will definitely work with Front Room for any future photography sessions. Of note, it seems in reading some of the previous reviews that may be people don't understand how much work, time, and energy go into the process. Although it isn't a perfect system (my wife's original review (Megan) was actually filtered out in error), it is interesting to note the overwhelming number of filtered 5 star reviews by Yelpers who have only reviewed ONCE in their life. They all have a similar sing-song tone, "My husband and I..." beginning, and name drop the owners throughout. It is clear to me that they know they provide horrible service and they are trying to manage their reputation writing reviews that are as fake as their attitudes prior to cashing your check. We used Front Room for both our wedding and our new baby and were blown away by the number of amazing shots. Any photographer can probably get one amazing shot, but Front Room manages to make every shot amazing. We have numerous prints displayed in our house and hear over and over again how breathtaking the pictures are. Front Room also have been very flexible in working with us to ensure that we got the photographs we wanted. For our wedding, we were not living in the Milwaukee area but Eron and Neil worked around our schedules to ensure that we could get an engagement session and even traveled to D.C. (where we were currently living) to conduct our "day after" session. They want to take great shots just was much as you want to get great shots. There has been some delay in getting albums and prints, but the end product is so worth the wait that it doesn't seem a point to complain about. Front Room clearly takes each project with love and attention and the end result shows. Any delay isn't a matter of priority but a matter of attention to detail and pride in the final result. read more

I LOVED my photographer, Calfa, for my wedding. She was 6 months pregnant, but that did not stop her from squatting, moving, and bending in very extreme angles to get the right shots. She was creative and took charge of the bridal party when I needed her help getting organized. We got some of the most unique shots because of her suggestions and experience. A lot of people told me that it would be hard to shoot at my venue, but she had no trouble with the lighting. She stayed in the background for the most part, grabbing us for posed photos only once or twice after the ceremony. The only negative I have to say is that the price for Front Room is very high. At first, I felt pressured into choosing and paying for 2 photographers, but then I switched to Calfa, who shoots alone, at the last second. It all worked out great and I got some awesome photographs. read more

Neil and Eron photographed our wedding this past November. The entire experience has been great. Being a photographer myself, I had a difficult time finding a photographer with whom I shared a similar vision. Our venue and several other places recommended these guys. I checked them out online and thought their stuff looked good. After we met them in person, we were sold. They are great; laid back and easy to talk to. They took in everything we said we wanted and understood...even some of the critiques (unsolicited) we gave on composition and such. We just got our album available to us online. After a quick run through of the album I can say that they hit our vision for the wedding perfectly. I've seen the work of their printers and other vendors in their studio. A point for some of the reviewers that have complained about waiting. Professional photography services and assorted printing and bundling that goes with isn't like today's 24 hour 1 hour service you get from your local pharmacy. Many of then goods, especially for the price, are high quality and imported. There will certainly be some time between ordering and receiving, but done fit and it will be worth the wait. read more

FR Photo have been our photographers since our wedding in 2002. We wanted our photos to be a story of our special day and they did just that and more! They are amazing photographers and amazing people. Eron and Neil have captured all of our special moments after our wedding. My 1st born, family portraits and most recently my new addition. One that is dear to my heart is my grandpa's portraits. Eron took the time to go to my grandpa's house and capture my grandpa at his best. After those portraits my grandpa has had open heart surgery, is fighting prostate cancer and is blind from one eye. It brings a smile to my face every time I see his pictures around the house and most importantly all his 30 great-grandchildren enjoys them too. All thanks to Eron! There aren't enough good things to say about Front Room Photography. My husband and I hired them to shoot our wedding, and not only did they do an amazing job, but our photographer stayed an extra hour to capture moments from our reception. They were professional, fun, and easy to work with. They did a wonderful job in revealing our photos, were very clear about the process, and have kept in touch with us since our wedding. Recently, we met one of the Front Room photographers at another wedding. He was not our wedding day photographer, but he recognized us and took our photo. A couple weeks later, we received a retouched 8x10 of that photo in the mail as a gift from the company. It was such a nice surprise. The company is great and everyone we've met there has been so wonderful. They are professional, kind, creative, efficient, fun, and you can tell they truly love what they do. read more

We went with Front Room Photography for our Newborn pictures. I had wanted to use a local photographer and from what I viewed in their online portfolio I was really excited. Neil was fantastic. He took his time working with us, allowed us whatever outfits and props we wanted to use, and was able to fit us in just a few days from when I called to set up the appointment (important when you have a small window of time before baby grows!). I wish I had found Front Room for our wedding because they do amazing work. I highly recommend them. The only change I would suggest is to be more up front with pricing so that people can prepare more effectively, but the photos were worth every penny! Just be sure to ask. One of the photos he took was even chosen as the "Pic of the Day" on TMJ4's The Morning Blend. We were thrilled but not surprised We plan to use Front Room in the future whenever we can! read more

I've waited years to use Front Room because there photos are absolutely amazing. However, that it where it ends. Neil took amazing shots and we were very pleased with the session. However, it took months and four emails just to get the pricing for albums. Once that was decided upon, it has now taken 10 months and we still have no album. I agree with another reviewer that mentioned being a low priority if they aren't doing thousands and thousands of dollars worth of business. Since I only spent $1500.00, apparently I don't qualify for good service. All I get are lots of excuses about how busy they are and how they are trying but still no album. Although the pictures are absolutely amazing, I will never again go to nor recommend Front Room. What a disappointment. read more

My husband and I just got married in August and we chose Front Room for our photographers and are so incredibly happy that we did so. We live in Neenah, WI, but decided to get married in Milwaukee based on many circumstances. We chose Front Room based on a list our vendor gave us and the amazing pictures they have on their website. We decided early on that we were willing to spend more on photography because it is really the only thing you take away from the day, besides the amazing marriage! We were able to do most things through email, but decided to stop down their twice to talk with them. They made us feel very comfortable and at home both times. They took time to get to know our personalities and really get a sense of what we wanted for our big day. unfortunately it rained on our wedding day and our ceremony was supposed to take place outside...I was underwhelmed with the indoor space, but it really beat the pouring rain. Neil was amazing. The moment he found out it was going to rain, he sent my husband and the groomsman on a mission to find umbrella's that would photograph well, he took photos of the ceremony space that made it look more amazing than I could ever dream of, and he was able to pull us out for pictures all night (without disrupting the reception) and we still got amazing shots in the gardens (maybe even more amazing than if it wouldn't have rained!) Our plan had been to take photos during cocktail hour and even without that happening, we have over 1300 photos! Each more amazing than the last! We will say our budget for photography was a bit larger, but we both think it was totally worth every penny. You really do get what you pay for. We hired Front Room to photograph our wedding ceremony and reception. Our budget was tight, and the venue was too (a butcher shop, with seating for 30 max). Eron really worked with us to make it work. Lidia was our photographer, and was amazing. She took the time to understand who we are as a couple and what we wanted from our photos-- we hate posed shots, and wanted images that captured people interacting. We got exactly what we wanted and more. The emotion of the moment oozes from every photograph, such that every time we look at them we relive the moment. Front Room Photography ruined our engagement experience and will most likely ruin yours. Be very cautious if you ever deal with this company. Our experience: My fiancée and I had our proposal photos taken with Front Room Photography (Milwaukee, WI). That went well and the photos turned out fairly well. As part of a package deal for those photos, we were offered an engagement session. We eventually set that up later in the spring and were pleased with the experience that the photographer provided. Our plan was to use one of the photos on our save the dates for our wedding. The problems arose once we were passed off to the rest of the "business associates". The first issue: We were quoted $75 per digital image by the front desk as well as the photographer. When the time came to make the image selections, the price was increased to $125. After, what felt like pulling teeth, we were able to get the company to honor their original quote. The second issue: After we selected our first photo and finalized the purchase, we were sent a digital copy. The watermark that was originally placed over our faces was then removed from the photo; which is when we noticed that the quality was not as high as we initially thought. We were able to see that our eyes appeared squinted due to the sunlight (something we had not noticed due to the watermark over our faces). Not only were we unhappy with the photo but it was in color (requested black and white) and the photo was edited poorly. We made multiple attempts to have this corrected with Front Room but were unsuccessful. Everyone there proposed that we "just buy more photos" or "pay more money to try and fix the original mistakes". The employees that worked in the studio provided terrible customer service and treated us with disrespect. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were passed along to the owner of the company. I can see where the employees get their incompetence. It was apparent that this company has been run with little business intelligence and without a fiber of ethical integrity. The owner accused us of being out of line when asking to fix a blunder caused by their own ineptitude. Recap: Front Room Photography ruined our engagement experience and will most likely ruin yours. Was fortunate enough to be able to work with Front Room for both our engagement session and our wedding. We worked with both Neil and Eron for the engagement session - which was a lot more fun that I was expecting it to be! They both really helped us to get over the awkwardness and made the whole experience much more enjoyable than we thought it would be - and the pictures are amazing and hanging up in our house! Our wedding was in October, and Neil and Eron were with us the whole day - along with Niki and Kristen. The whole team was so much fun - they made us laugh, they were incredibly patient, they had backup plans for the rain, they captured every single detail that I wanted captured in the wedding and hundreds more moments that I didn't even know were taking place. They did an amazing job of capturing all the "pretty" parts of the day, but more importantly, they did a fantastic job of showcasing the genuine excitement and happiness of the guests and those are the best memories of all. I love that they captured parts of our day on instagram and provided a sneak peek on facebook to tide over our excitement until we got all 1800 photos back. When we did get the photos back, they set up a "reveal" for us in the studio where we got to see some of the photos for the first time and go over any details/ask any questions that we had. The time lapse video, and the short slideshow of their favorite photos are awesome additions to the USBs they gave us with all the pictures on them. Yes, they are expensive, but if you are considering splurging on a photographer, you cannot go wrong with this team. read more
