Before Life Fit, I was a member of F45 (6 months) and Gold's Gym (20 years). In my last 2 months at F45, I could sense that my progress had plateaued (which always eventually happens if you've worked out consistently for a solid period of time). Due to my move to the area, I fortunately happened upon Life Fit while taking a new route home from work. I took the free class and was hooked (despite the no air conditioning, which eventually is a small price to pay for the tremendous benefits). In just 3 months of going to Life Fit, I feel as strong and healthy as I did in my 20's (I'm in my mid-40's), have reached an ideal bodyweight and BMI, and truly enjoy EVERY workout (as grueling as they are!). The foundation of this gem of a gym is the owner and employees. ALL of them genuinely care for each person's health and well-being. It's nice to be greeted each time you walk through the door and given a verbal and figurative pat on the back when you leave. In addition, it's motivating for me to hear a trainer (i.e. Fabian) say my name attached to a "good form" or "keep it up" while I'm in the midst of a tough set. Both Adrian and Fabian have helped me with my form on numerous exercises so that I could maximize my efforts. Fabian has sat with me for over an hour to educate me on eating for my body's needs. Valeria and Ms. Maria are always helpful and generous with a personal greeting and smile. All in all, I am grateful for this gym and what it's offering the community and what it's given me. I tell everyone I can about Life Fit. You can't lose (except extra body fat) by attending this gym!!

I've never actually done any training at Kinex other than the Tues/Thurs Evening and Saturday morning bootcamp classes, so this review won't cover any of that. However, the facility is new and clean, and has plenty of equipment. The trainers that I've met all seem friendly and competent, and it looks like they're doing a thorough job with clients during the times that I've been at Kinex for boot camp. I started going to their boot camp classes soon after Kinex opened. Sam and Jordan have done a pretty great job with the classes the entire time, and it doesn't matter if only two people show up or 15 show up - all the classes have been great. They have a good mix of workouts, and it doesn't feel like there are a lot of repeats, even week to week. They focus heavily on core workouts, and my abs/obliques always feel great after a class. Sam and Jordan do a good keep the classes fun and talk and joke with the participants. They usually have some kind of music playing to help distract you from the hard work you're doing. If you're looking for a boot camp class, I can definitely recommend the ones at Kinex.

The owner, Matt seems like a great and personable guy but he is only in it for himself. I am not pleased with the business mindset that the owner seems to possess and it takes away from the talented trainers that have stuck with it.

Well, as cheesy as this may sound, just going to this boot camp for two weeks has helped me in ways beyond healthiness. They are just so darn positive at mean green! Its infectious! I can only vouch for the woodland park location, where I am trained by Dez. I mean she is just phenomenal. And I am not pulling your chain, she stresses positive reinforcement throughout, and it's not just lip service. I can tell she equally believes in positivity in her everyday life and work as a trainer. She goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable, and gives everyone individual attention / motivation. I truly have found myself chanting the mantras during the day..lol.. "I can do this. Today is going to be great. I will have a great day no matter what." Granted I feel a tinsy bit silly, but it really helps. Some important details to note: * since it is an outdoor bootcamp my allergies have been bugging me a bit. * I bought this bootcamp through groupon, but otherwise it may have been out of my price range. Considering this, I am contemplating renewing my next six weeks with a half off coupon from the camp. That's how much I like it, and I am openly frugal. * Because of my groupon, I am not 'full access.' Full access members get initiated, and turn in food charts and weigh in. I want to do all these things so badly to get back on track. All in all, dez is a phenomenal trainer, and this boot camp is very personable in nature. They aim to get to know you and your goals and help you achieve them. AND if motivation is what you are really lacking, which was my issue, this place is great for you.
