He told me he would get started on ours the following Monday and we were next on his list. We continued to wait and kept being lied to with one excuse after the other. He said he would come tomorrow and then next week and yet no sign of him. Once I requested my money back and told him I had had enough of his excuses, he finally showed up in December (two months after he had cashed my check) and set the posts. We were told he would be back two days later once the concrete dries (more lies) and still have yet to see or hear from DeWayne. I have tried countless attempts to contact Mr. Burberry. He ignores all of my texts and has even hung up on me once he realized who it is on the phone. He sounded good when I initially discussed getting a fence. He sold a good pitch and I even had neighbors recommend him. I still have yet to get a fence nor my money back six months later. Yet he keeps working and posting all of these jobs he is completing. Buyers please beware! I just want my money, but yet he cannot do the right thing and give it back. So until then, I will do my part and continue to give honest reviews all over the internet to warn others of how I was poorly treated as a customer. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else going forward. DeWayne Burberry of Burberry Fencing does not even deserve one star, but unfortunately it made me click at least one.

Vinnie promptly sent me his quote but didn't pressure me to make a quick decision. Once I decided to use A-1 Fencing, Vinnie brought me a contract and we settled on a start date. The crew, Vinnie, Chris, Cody, Brian, and a fourth member (sorry, forgot his name!) showed up on time and started the work. For 3 days, the team arrived on time and worked all day. Each day, my backyard was left in great condition, i.e. no debris, trash, or tools lying around. Materials were brought in as they were needed and the old fencing was removed after the first day. I highly recommend Vinnie and his crew. The crew was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable checking in with them throughout each day. Great service, great quality, and great value!

But when we stumbled upon A-1 Fencing and requested a quote, Vinny showed up the same day..not just in a truck, but with a skid steer attached. Right away, we knew he was the real deal when he hopped out with all that equipment and wearing carhartt overalls. Vinny is honest, reliable, and truly stands by his word. Our fence was scheduled to be built during a snowstorm (of coarse because we have bad luck) I was so upset because I couldn't wait any longer to have my fence built! I was thinking it would all get rescheduled for weeks out but sure enough, there he was...working in freezing temperatures and feet of snow to get the job done. His dedication is unmatched. While there were some minor issues due to hands-on training with a new crew, Vinny immediately corrected them at no extra cost. His years of experience showed in the quality of his work, and his explanations for how things were being built to prevent gravity weighing anything down in the future. If you're looking for someone who is hardworking, knowledgeable, and fair with pricing, Vinny is your guy. Rain or shine, or literally during a snow storm..he delivers. We highly recommend A-1 Fencing. You won't regret giving them your business! Additionally, I look forward to having other projects done by A-1 fencing as they not only build fences but also are able to do all your other outdoor projects! We plan to have our deck rebuilt to be a covered, screened in deck/patio soon and I cannot wait to see what A-1 fencing does with it! We won't look elsewhere when it comes to getting anything else built as we have trust and reliability with this company... something that's hard to find now! You also get warranty with their work that you don't have to stress about, no questions asked. If you don't like something Vinny fixes it with no excuses or questions asked. I had a weird nail I didn't like and they came straight away to fix it no matter how silly it sounded they took my concern seriously and acted promptly. Thank you Vinny!

Never use this contractor. Shamichael Underwood owner of Shunder Construction llc…read more Our experience could not have been worse. I hired this company to remodel our bathroom specifically new tile on the floor and walls, put in a new vanity and medicine cabinet also install 2 faucets and install 2 new doors in the home as well as install an exhaust fan light combo in our guest bathroom. They also were putting in a new water line for the toilet and shower. We were quoted 2 weeks to complete the job. And guaranteed satisfaction. What we ended up with is an unusable bathroom shower. The tile is crooked the walls are not strait. The floor is uneven. The vanity and medicine cabinet are not aligned. The faucets are not working properly and are all loose. The grout is cracked and not completely filled in. They broke our shower glass door and failed to replace it. The exhaust fan is collecting insulation from the attic and where vent goes in the attic it was duct taped. One of our doors was installed but it was damaged and the installation was not completed. The other door we never received and obviously it was never installed. The plumbing line for the toilet was installed and it leaked in my basement for 5 days causing mold. He told me he doesn't use shark bites and then they used a shark bite anyway causing the leak. During this process that was quoted 2 weeks which turned into 5 and a half weeks loaded with approximately 50 excused of why it wasn't done, why they were late and why they didn't show up for this project. I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he kept assuring me the project would be done and I would be happy with the work. I made my first payment on 12/4/2025 and the job was still not completed on March 26th . At this point we realized that the job was done so poorly we wanted a refund. He agreed to give a refund. He told us he mailed a check and it has not been received. Now he doesn't answer the phone or emails. So at this point we paid him $10,955 plus we have to replace the shower door that was broke, we need our hallway walls repainted and repaired after they damaged them, we have grout spilled in our driveway and they stained our bedroom carpet. This is absolutely ridiculous. I paid all this money and my house is in worse shape than we started the project.
