I am a visitor to the area and appreciated his willingness to accept me as a non-client. I had been dealing with a 2-week long piriformis issue that made sitting on chairs and in the car very uncomfortable. Dr. Plass was professional in all ways: 1) took time to listen carefully to my concern, 2) asked about my preferences for pressure, 3) checked along the way to see how I was feeling, and 4) showed me stretches after it was over. But most important to me was his knowledge of the interconnectedness of muscles, ligaments, tendons. The big difference between an okay massage and a great massage is someone who understands the mechanics and structure of the musculoskeletal system and pressure points. He knew where to apply pressure to relieve spasms and how to elongate tightened muscles in the directions they relax and expand. I plan to go one more time before heading out of town and would go again the next time I come back. I highly recommend him to locals and out-of-town visitors.

I came over the weekend and had a great session, the person at the front desk was very helpful and attentive. I booked another private session with my partner, later in the week, and it just wasn't the same, and left me disappointed. The person in the front desk seemed more concerned about the yoga class happening and getting us out early, than giving us a good experience. Given that the community sauna sessions are way cheaper, it doesn't make any sense to push clients out, but that was definitely the decision they made that day. So if you go, and want a private session, don't book on a day where they have the community yoga class.
