can't say enough about country meadows and their incredible staff. Krystal Spinella, director of…read moreresident services is amazing. she is friendly, helpful, kind, quick to respond and goes above and beyond to help her residents and their family. My mom has been a resident there since the end of march and has made lots of friends. overall, I rate them a 5

My father had his leg amputated and we were in a scurry to find a rehabilitation facility that…read morewould accept him and would not cause additional problems. After touring numerous facilities we begged for admittance at country meadows. The biggest plus there is that they are well staffed and my dad would have the proper care that was necessary, the patient to staff ratio was one of the highest I saw and this makes a big difference in the care you would receive. (previously, prior to the amputation he was at New Eastwood in Easton where he'd press a call button and over an hour and a half later would soil himself because nobody responded, so staffing number's definitely count)..... Throughout the whole stay at Country Meadows the staff all cared for my father very well, he liked some of the food and some he did not. Although he got a bed ulcer, he previously had the start of it at the hospital so CM was definitely not to blame. Their showers are clean and easy accessible and they have the staff to bathe residents twice a week. They even have a salon to get your hair washed in the interim. Everyone there was accommodating to his needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for short term rehabilitation or even long term care. I felt that my dad was safe there every time I left from a visit.

My parents paid over 200K to get an apartment in the personal care wing. Soon after they moved in…read morethe facility decided that my dad had to move to the nursing home wing for 14K a month. Some of the aides were decent but others were nasty and/or negligent. My dad ended up in a wheelchair and when he pushed the call button for them to take him to the bathroom it would take forever to get any assistance. He was always dirty and so was his wheelchair. This year he ended up with a bedsore from being in a wet diaper in a wheelchair that caused him to die. The PA review people decided there was no negligence but I believe this place hastened his death. My mom also ended up in the nursing home on oxygen after being hospitalized. When I called her one day she had run out of oxygen and my brother's girlfriend had to go over there to get orders written for more. My mom ended up in hospice for breathing issues and the nursing home sales director was calling me asking when we could get my mom's stuff out of the room. After my mom died and we had to clean out the apartment we were told we had 30 days. Of course no one told us that they intended to charge us over $3,000 for no one to live in the unit or we would have finished much more quickly. When I called to ask why we were being charged, they said well your parents signed a contract to that effect. With my mom dead and my dad having Alzheimer's of course we had no knowledge of the wording of the contract. Don't even think about putting your elderly relatives in this poorly run facility who doesn't care at all about the residents.
