He agreed with all my points and said he's not doing it. It was actually a bizarre experience because he wouldn't really say why other than "legal reasons." Except that he thought it was perfectly acceptable to send us out with bald tires in the upcoming snowstorm, with brand new tires in the bed, knowing full well I will never be able to find anyone to swap them before the snow gets here. So take your chances going here and being told to "pound sand," if you have a normal set of mud tires for your truck.

When they put it up on the lift, it was determined that the right lower control arm was in nearly the same condition. The parts were not on hand and had to be ordered which took some time and rolled into my vacation out of state. They were very understanding and contacted me after my vacation to make arrangements for me to get my car back. My parents, both deceased now, relied on Sanborn's for all of their vehicle maintenance for over 30 years. As an aside, I'm pretty sure it would have cost me at least double for these repairs at the dealership.

Update: went to Irwin Chevrolet to have them figure out what was wrong considering they are a…read moredealership. Ok here is / was the list of issues: 1- break pads installed incorrectly on passenger side. 2- loose piston caused by the break pads and now rubbing on the pads. 3- missing hardware / lock screw. 4- damaged / bad calipers Total repair cost was north of $2000.00 the electronic calipers being the majority of the cost. My bill from Irwin that day was $283.00. I drove to VIP right after to discuss this with them. Jeremy Gooden was very nice and understanding and assured me I would be paid for this work. He apologized again and hoped to gain my business back. On 1/24/25 I received a call letting me know the check was being sent. Today 1/31/25 I received the check. Drumroll please......$283.00 no other amount no explanation nothing. I have again reached out to VIP Gary MacCausland VP of operations as he was the one that sent me the check to ask for a reason. I also reached out to the initial response I received from VIP forgot the persons name asking for the same information. So the saga continues. I truly hope this helps people when it comes to making decisions on who works on your car and how they stand behind their work. This whole experience has cost me well over $2500.00 so far. The mechanic came out with a brake pad in his hand and told me I should get another 10k out of them! The following week I had an appointment at my dealer for an oil change (free) I waited nearly 2 hours and they came out and said they had taken my brakes apart and that I needed to do a break job immediately! I told them no and pulled my receipt from Northeast and showed them the note brakes good for 10 k. They said nothing and put my brakes back together. I went back to Northeast 8k later and had them do the work! I also have them do my oil changes now! Free isn't always free at a dealer( Auto Serve now Nucar!

I pulled over and checked it out to find a bolt nearly completely backed out of the caliper and the other one completely missing. Maybe it fell out, maybe they never installed it. Do not trust this place with your vehicle. They damaged my rim, my caliper, and burnt out my ABS module. They were willing to buy a used rim but they refused to acknowledge they burnt out my ABS module. I got a quote for the part only at a dealership and it'll cost $1200 alone. The dealership won't replace it either unless I pay for diag first too. Once again, avoid this place unless you like getting screwed.
