I went into Lush to buy my daughter care supplies and body washes for back to school and was treated in a very rude manner by the worst employee ever. I found out her name is Jaz and she is the store manager. she didn't do anything to help her employees she just barked orders at them while she leaned at the sink and played in the water, I am ready to contact HR about her because this isn't the first time I have seen her treat her employees in such an unhinged manor. I'm a husband that came with the wife. She was super excited to check it out and I'm the mobile Starbucks drink holder so I had to tag along. Was greeted very quickly by the staff and they were all super friendly. Sophie worked with my wife and I and was super knowledgeable on the products all while making it a fun experience. She demo'd some items with my wife and I to make sure we actually liked the scents and also results. Now to the meat and potatoes; I was having problems with my scalp health and couldn't figure out what was wrong (dandruff) because I've never had it. Sophie recommended the "BIG" exfoliating shampoo so my wife said let's take it. Used this thing once and I'm already nearly dandruff free! Lush O lush, how I love thee! I am obsessed with this store. The products are amazing. One of my favorite products in this store is Lush Big. It's a combination of sea salt, seaweed and coconut. It gives you amazing volume and decreases your hair leaving it feeling soft and clean. Another one of my go-to products is Lushs Curly Wurly. It's packed with mashed butter avocado, eggs and creamed coconut. This shampoo gives amazing shine and frizz free bouncy curls for an amazing look. The customer service is great here as well. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the most helpful staff. Samples are given to you upon request and their knowledgeable about all products. The prices are a little on the high end but I do not mind because the products are worth it. Each small container of shampoo will run you about $30. You get what you pay for though. My mom and I went to Lush for the first time. I had heard of Lush before because they generously donated to an environmental organization that I was an active member in. My mom seemed intrigued by the store and we were looking for unique gifts to send to her sisters in Japan. Jasmine helped educate us on many of the lotions, soaps, and unusual potions there. She was super sweet and informative. We were thrilled with our experience there and will definitely make a trek back to the same Lush in the coming months. I liked this store alot. They had a wide variety of body care items. They were pretty expensive but sales people were not pushy and the girl i worked with was very upfront and shared what my best value options for the price would be when i was looking at the gift sets. She said sometimes gift sets are more pricey because of the packaging and buying seperately may be a better option in some cases. They give you pretty generous of anything you would like to try at home with purchase. I wish i could give 3 1/2 stars. read more

Let your eyes take a big whiff of the pictures. Better yet, let your nose take a whiff of the blooming scents of sweet citrus in the air and walk on in. It's like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but without the Oompa Loompas. I didn't know where to start, so as soon as I stepped into Lush, one of the friendly girls initiated a full-blown tour of their products. Starting with the demonstration of a bath bomb. She picked up a glittery cotton candy 'bomb', put some warm water in a pot, and allowed me to do the honors. I plunked the bomb and it caused a rapid fizzing in the water. Super cool. The water was all sparkly and lightly scented. Then we moved on to the sink (aka arm bathing section). She let me smell two scents, and after favorably choosing one, she washed my arm, put a soap, and rinsed. Then she put a scrub, (rinse) a conditioner, (rinse rinse) and after my arm was pink and patted down dry, the lotion. Did I mention she was an excellent masseuse? I don't know if that's a prereq to get a job, but she certainly made the experience! I broke away from the tour, picked up a Sexy Peel soap and the Bohemian. They had many to choose from, depending on your liking. You can also request to cut a piece from the huge hunks and slabs of soaps to get it at just the right size. They also have toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, lotion, and perfumes! Speaking of which, I bought the Karma and Euphoria Gorilla perfumes (a scented stick perfume that you rub into your skin). Will definitely be back...when I have more money! Very vegan friendly and made in Canada! read more

Is it normal to ask your customers to rinse their own pots when exchanging them for a facemask?? I have worked at several different Lush shops in the past, and cannot remember once ever saying to a customer "are your pots clean? Can you rinse them? The sink is over there." How weird. Let me count the ways that I love Lush. This store is adorable. I've been to Lush on Boylston Street in Boston when I was on vacation and had my first experience there. I keep coming back to this Lush though instead of one thats closer to me because of the people. I would say 99% of the ladies I've worked with have been extremely helpful. They are also very knowledgable about every product that I have a question about or any skin/hair ailment that I might be having. I would say that the recommendations that I receive are probably 85-90% exactly what I need. If I could only take away half of a star for it I would, because i don't feel like a whole star is necessary and there was only one girl who ever made me feel like it was a hassle to get a sample of something. It was the holidays and I've worked retail so I totally get it, she might have been having an off day. Lush is always a treat for myself and I will definitely be coming back any time I'm in the area. I've go a lot added to my birthday wish list and I can't wait to see what my family gets me!! read more

My favorite place on the planet! This Lush is not that much different than all the others I have been to. Everyone is nice, they do try to sell you more than you buy but not too pushy. This place is always clean and bright and the people are really friendly. You feel good coming in! Sometimes they will even give you a little sample of something if you want to try it. I love when they show me a product and give me a little hand/arm massage. May favorite products are Ocean Salt (it's an amazing scrub), the bubble bars are awesome as is their bath bombs. Their lemony flutter cuticle butter is great and lasts a long time and well worth the price. I really could go on forever with their products that dazzle me. I love this place ! As soon as you walk in an Aroma of wonderful scents strikes you and it's pure bliss walking through the store. The products are displayed so creatively and are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It is like a maze of wonderful colors and scents walking through the store and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I am tempted to buy everything when I'm in there !!!! It's wonderful to know that everything is handmade and cruelty free . I'm able to use all natural products that are transformed into a unique product that I get to experience everytime I take a bath. The hair products are wonderful and the R&B cream does wonders for the hair, especially if you dye it. The shampoo bars are also great, I use the blue one for blonde hair. The makeup line with the different facial creams are also very nice. One is a bronzer type cream and the other is an iridescent type color that is also a cream. There is also a loose powder in a neutral shade. The lip scrubs are nice, they taste like sugar and are good for exfoliating. All the bath bombs are great. If you get the oil ones, expect a smoother type feel in your skin and it doesn't last as long but it's best to run along your skin like soap. I highly recommend this store. I'm very happy with the products and continue to buy $150 a week. read more

Mix of under and over-aggressive sales. You'll either get ignored or pestered over things you don't want to buy. The skincare is a hit or miss. Only a semi-hit when it works. I remember paying around 40 for the vanishing cream here once, amongst others. After trying more products from other brands, I stopped buying into the "all-natural hand made" hype and got things that actually work.There are wayyyy beter things on the market. Go to sephora and get peter thomas roth, dr.jart, dr.brandt (makes the best exfoliating microderm cream),boscia, glamglow, or any number of other better skincare lines. Bath bombs are the best out there, at least amongst readily available brands. Try the blackcurrant bubble bar. read more

Effing love this Lush! My first Lush experience was at the one at Macy's in Oak Brook. The hard sellage had me convinced I'd never step foot in a Lush again and resort to only online shopping. However, the last deodorant i bought from Lush gave me a rash under my pits (TMI?? Sorry) so I needed to try something else. I was greeted by THE friendlist chick ever. It wasn't the "I'm being friendly because I have to sell you some stuff" she truly was a cool person. I told her what happened with the lemongrass deodorant I bought and she explained that it was the tree oil getting rid of the bacteria. She did tell me it was a common complaint of that particular one--something the girl at Oak Brook never even mentioned when I bought it last time. This time around, I decided on the patchouli smelling one -- can't remember the name. She said that one shouldn't have the same effect. The only problem w/ this one though is that they have to cut it for you and I just told her to cut me a square because it lasts awhile. It ended up being $15 but I have a HUGE chunk of it now that should last awhile. She also gave me care instructions for it. Cut it down to the size I want to use then wrap the rest in plastic so it doesn't dry out. Seriously, I got none of this special attention at the one in OB. I also wanted to get one of the dusting powders because I'd read on their website that you can layer them to smell even better. I asked her about this and which one to get and she explained everything to me. This girl was so hardcore Lush too and not in an annoying way. She made sure to tell me about their new e-catalog that will talk about their new line. She was genuinely excited about all the up and coming products that it got me excited too. I did get the hard upsell at the counter by a different girl ringing me up. I'd already dropped $25 on deodorant, so I really didn't want to add any charity lotions on to my order. I already have a bazillion lotions I never use. She basically kept saying "But it's for charity... you're going to say no?" Why yes, I am. The thing I know about Lush from both stores is to scope their website out, go in with a plan and don't allow yourself to be swayed. There are so many awesome goodies in here that you could walk out and spend your entire paycheck. Even despite the prices, Lush is my new fave bath and body/cosmetic store because everything is cruelty-free. I don't mind spending a little bit more for the sake of the bunnies. read more

They are super knowledgable about all of the products, and have no problem giving demonstrations. I really enjoy the company as a whole, and definitely feel like the drive out to Orland from Indiana is worth the truck! I will say this... it's not that big of a store, so expect to be approached multiple times, especially if you look inquisitive about the products... just something to be mindful of if you're already familiar with most of Lush's products, like I am :) I usually get free samples every time that I make a purchase. Today was the first time I have ever been to a store even remotely similar to Lush. I have always bought my soap and shampoos at drugstores or department stores. My trip to Lush today has changed my life forever. The staff is really nice and helpful. They are friendly, but not in a fake or "obviously coached" way. They also give out pretty generous samples. I love Lushes products! Definitely take the time to try some but when you do, don't have the "boss" Terry help you. They have their new store location in Orland and the day before grand opening I came to the mall hoping to get a face mask. I saw people walking in and out of the door to go into the new Lush so I came in with the crowd. While everyone else walked around to see the products, I was near the door and asked a worker who was Terry if the store was even open? She walked more towards me and shouted "No, we're not. Stop asking if we are, Thank You! And backed my friend and I to slam the open door in our face. I feel like extremely disrespected, especially as a regular customer..
