I crave lush! I can't think of one product I've got there that I didn't like! This is one of those stores where you are swamped with workers asking you if you need any help. Not because they're bored or because there are too many of them, but because they actually want to help! They can convince you to buy anything - The ladies are super knowledgeable about their products. They know how it's made, what it's made with, and what it will do for you! Don't believe them? They'll even give you a sample! One day I went into Lush sporting a not-so-sexy sunburn. One of the ladies approached me and right away was telling me what products I could use to relieve the pain! She then proceeded to spray my skin with a mist and gently massage my arms and shoulders with a lotion! Wow! And she was right; whatever ingredients were in these products really did help to calm down the stinging burn. Now that's service. I wish I remembered the name of them to share with you, but if you're curious just go into a Lush store - they'd know! My all time favorite must have product from Lush is the Ultrabland facial cleanser. You cover your face in its goodness, makeup and all, and wipe with a damp cloth! So simple and easy; I don't know how I've ever washed my face without it! Close seconds, in no certain order are... Karma Komba Solid Shampoo - It is a detangling shampoo and works wonders! I think it's good for like 80 washes. Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar - I love the scent of this product! It makes my skin so soft, and is very relaxing! ANY Shower Jellie! Right now I'm using The Jilted Elf (they tell me it helps with hangovers!). Sweetie Pie Shower Jellie is usually my go-to though. My mother is a huge Lush-Addict! For her birthday I went into Lush looking for any and everything chocolate. Well, they didn't have any thing "chocolate" but they did have A LOT of things with a chocolate-like or sweet scent. My mother loved them all! She took them to work with her to show all of her friends, because they don't have "The Lush Store" or "Lushes" as my mother calls it! If you're like my father and are bothered by scents, this store might not be very enjoyable to you. Sometimes the fragrances are very overwhelming. They do have little cups of coffee beans for you to smell, this will help a little! Tip: They have a lot of pre-wrapped gift boxes with sample size products at great prices! It's a good way to introduce a friend to Lush, or try them out for yourself! And, in every box there is a 50% off Lush coupon! read more

Why do I heart it? Where do I start?? LUSH is just about everything I'm looking for in a bath-body-skin-and-hair product store: high quality ingredients (they use lots 'n' lots of essential oils - and everything is listed for you to read), loads of vegan options for our no-animal-product-pals, and a serious committment to environmental responsibility (much of their packaging is minimalist and/or recyclable). The store atmosphere is fun and funky - a playground of delights to smell and smear (if you're so inclined). Some of my very fave products include the fresh face masks (so lacking in preservatives that they come with a best before date and have to live in the fridge), big fat bath bombs for tubs o' fizzy wonderful-ness, the massage bars, and their soaps, which are made in giant wheels and loaves and can be bought in whatever size you desire. The staff is well-informed and generally fantastic, they are happy to answer your questions, make recommendations, and demonstrate how the products work. LUSH often has sweet promotional events with free stuff and raffles (you can sign up for a newsletter to get the deets). You can always request a sample of something, and often get a little extra treat tucked into your bag before leaving! My only LUSH-related caveats: this is not the store for anyone who is sensitive to fragrances natural or synthetic (the smells are lovely but can be overwhelming for someone who is allergic to scent) nor is it the place to go for cheap-cheapies. Many items are quite reasonable (under $5 to $10), but's it is also really easy to drop $50 without trying hard (for me anyway). What can I say? I'm a LUSH lush! read more

This isn't my regular Lush, but while I was shopping at Mic Mac Mall last night I thought I would stop in. I love lush products for all the same reasons as everyone else. Ethical business practices, cruelty/chemical free produces, sustainable/environmentally friendly manufacturing of their packaging.. and to top it off, it all smells like a million bucks. It's just nice quality products. Since the weather's been transitioning into fall my lips feel like they're going to peel completely off. I picked up the lip scrub in Mint Julip, it tastes amazing, and works really well at exfoliating all that nasty chappy lip stuff off. On a broader product scale, the bath balms brought me in, then I moved onto the hair and skin products. My favrouite toner is the 'breath of fresh air' and 'The Sacred Truth' is my favourite mask (Their cleansers are amazing as well). I love Lush, and I love how helpful they can be but sometimes it comes off a little too pushy. Let me browse. Let me smell everything. Let me think a minute! There has been a couple sales associates that have been a little much. I think all Lush locations are like this, and it's not a deterrent for me shopping there. The people at this store are always so nice and helpful. Everything smells so good it lifts your spirits. It makes me happy that an ethical store like Lush is in our mall in Dartmouth. I had to return a face cleanser and they were extremely understanding and helpful. I bought the Herbalism clean ser but I didn't like it so I returned it and got the Jade Roller solid cleanser which I like. This is how every store should be. I love how Lush puts expiry dates on their products because I think every product should have them. Drugstores sell expired products and they won't let you take it back if you go home and look up the batch code or open it up and find out its expired as heck. read more

I really do enjoy lush's products. Especially their face masks and bath bombs. My only complaint about the store is that the staff WILL NOT leave you alone. I appreciate them trying to help and all, but I went in one day with my boyfriend (in a rush to buy his mom and sister gifts) and all five staff members would not leave us alone. When I politely said that we didn't need any help, they would then give us eyes. And it would be another 30 seconds before another one would be asking us a million questions and trying to show us stuff. My boyfriend got caught up in the experience and ended up buying something that we didn't need, and forgetting to buy the other gift -- so we had to go back. I appreciate their attempts to help out, but it was an annoying experience for me! It could be considered my problem; for being such an independent shopper. But it made me not want to go back! read more

Lovely store with high-quality products. Everything Lush offers is quite unique, including the service from the associates - they are very friendly, knowledgeable, and hands-on. Virtually every item can be sampled and I recommend that you take advantage of this feature. New items are always being added to the long list of fantastic products offered. The prices are a bit steep, but when used properly these products will pay for themselves. Lush often offers "sampler packs" (ie. facial kits, foot care kits) for about $20, which allows you to sample 4-5 products. The Lush Times newspaper is absolutely packed with product info, contests, and other interesting tidbits, so pick up a copy when you visit. read more

Lush=Love! Spell it with me: L-O-V-E!! I could tell you how much I have spent at Lush and that could show the love I have for Lush! All of the products are amazing. Very few people can say that they don't like this place because there is something for EVERYONE! For example: I went there a few weeks ago to get my mother a gift for Christmas. She doesn't like high fragrance items. Now, when you think of Lush, you'll think High Fragrance, but I was able to find a few things for her! The staff are wicked! I'm not a make-up expert or a product junkie, so LUSH doesn't really feel like it's a store where I'll find anything that I'll like or need. But, a friend of mine recently recommended that I check out their shampoos because I have been trying to convert to something more natural. I was shocked to learn that LUSH was more than just a "bath bomb" store that catered to men who are overdue for anniversary/birthday/mother's day/any general female holiday. (Seriously though, have you ever been in the mall on a busy evening ahead of a female-related holiday?) So, I went in with pretty low expectations. I browsed around, and as soon as I had a bit of an understanding of some of the awesome products that are available, it started to become more interesting and appealing! The staff members on hand we are awesome - super friendly, helpful and able to teach me about the different products. I'm supremely impressed with the quality of the products, the cool innovative solutions for things like hair dye (henna), bronzer, and moisturizer bars. And, it doesn't stop there - there are tons of cool hair shampoos, conditioners and every bath and body product imaginable! You can take samples home if you aren't sure what works for you, but you can also demo products in store - how cool is that? And, I love the new shampoo bar I tried this AM so much that I cannot stop smelling my hair! The fact that the products are so natural and the products are hand made really impress me. Even though I've only visited once, I'm already sure I'm committed to coming back again and again. read more

I'm a huge fan of lush period. I love their products. Shampoo bars are amazing. Love the bath bombs. Toner is actually amazing here too. Love their charity pot lotion for my purse. The girls who work at this location are fantastic. So nice and helpful. Sometimes I can feel like lush employees are stalking me throughout the store. I like to be asked for help, be shown a new product or two, and be told they're there if I need them. Constantly asking me to try things really gets on my nerves. ANYWAYS, there is none of that her. Note: this is meant for the Halifax Shop Location but there is no section for that one- I like Mic Mac Mall too but I'm rarely there as I live in Halifax. Love Lush and always have- the staff are great, the products memorable and the pricing really not that bad- sort of like a body care version of MAC! I went in looking for something for my son for Easter as I do every Easter and Christmas to put in the basket/ stocking. I saw a really cool fidget spinner bath bomb for him and for moi- a golden egg!! Yes a golden egg- someone had told me about it and when I asked, hoping they were not sold out, I was taken there by a great employee who got one for me and told me about the ingredients and what it's properties were. It's beautiful and cannot wait to use it- I believe all their products are worth the money and serve as a great treat to your self. My only downfall is that it is an extremely scenty store and I get easily confused and distracted sometimes as there is usually slot going on in the store so the products can be hard to find- this is where the staff come in to help of course. I've only been to the store a few times but I love it. I've had horrible acne for years, it's finally clearing up so I've been doing anything I can to help speed up the process. I haven't bought that many items, because I really can't afford it but I wish I could. Everything I've bough so far, while expensive, has been absolute worth it. What makes this place so great though is the service. I've never been to a place with staff that outgoing and friendly. I honestly wasn't 100% sure what I even wanted the last time I went in and the girl helped me out and I was really happy by the time I left. Lush! Visiting a Lush store for the first time can be really over-whelming for one. It was no different to me. Everyday Bathing can be a complete new experience. The staff was really nice and friendly. They do also help you choose what products are suitable for your skin or hair type. You can try their sample. I really like their concept of fighting animal testing. Prices are lil more than moderate but not too pricey. My favourite is Comforter Bubble bath, Ocean Salt scrub, BIG Shampoo, D'Fluff shaving cream, Angels on bareskin scrub. I wish they were lil less expensive so that I can buy them more often. read more

Not sure where to start. Great staff. I mean they are the best. If you want good service this is where you will find it. I have tried everything except face masks. I like just about everything but if I had to pick one item it would be the guv'ner underarm deodorant because it works really well. All products they sell are not tested on animals and contain many natural ingredients and of course all smell great. The only drawback is this place will suck your pockets dry if you do not watch it. If you want value you can get that here for example the guv'ner deodorant will last a long time as you need to use very little and it cost 9.95. You can drop 6.95 on a bath bomb and one bath it 's done. I get the stuff I need then a few treats. The soaps are also nice but do cost a fair bit. If you like a good scrub but also like a nice rich lather try the portage soap. The message bars are also a good value and last a while or at least the ones I tried. My first message bar I thought I was buying soap? My bad but the message bar came in handy anyway in other words it did not go to waste. Lol. Bubble bars can be broken in 1/4 pieces to go further and shampoo bars last a while. I am not much into shower gel but they sell that too. Stock changes all the time. They sell gift sets no value there so don't expect a discount. Do the math you are paying the same then some for the packaging but hay it is a prewraped gift for the guys who want to buy stuff ready to just give and not do all that wrapping etc... Or in my case I don't know how to wrap presents so my hands are a bit tied. ha ha read more
