I came here after seeing all the great reviews, hoping to sell some scrap gold while prices are high and maybe build a relationship for future sales. Unfortunately, I left very disappointed. I brought in 42g of 14K, 5g of 18K, and 17g of 24K gold, plus two small diamond rings. Based on the day's gold price (around $4,130/oz), my melt estimate for the gold alone was about $6,075. Their offer was $5,650 total, including the diamond rings -- not great, but acceptable, so I agreed. Then the son said his father needed to "confirm" the price. The father came out, lowered the offer to $5,100 without explanation, and accused me of trying to rip them off, even though we had already agreed on $5,650. He raised his voice and dismissed the prior agreement entirely. It felt like an old-school pressure tactic -- bringing in an "authority figure" to undermine the deal and make the customer doubt themselves. I walked out, and they later called me back, which says a lot. The fact that they have so many good reviews makes me think they treat people differently depending on who they think they can take advantage of... read more

I had the most amazing experience with Fima. I wasn't particularly looking on purchasing a diamond that day, but thanks to his kindness and good actions I decided to get a diamond with him (initially went in to just sell a couple gemstones that we had) but it actually ended up in a purchase of a diamond. He gave me an amazing price, and on top of that set the diamond in the setting I had and I was able to pick it up the next day. Amazing service, thanks Fima! read more

Living in NYC, everyone has many choices about where to buy and sell luxury goods. After much research, I chose Luriya - a family owned and operated father-son team well-respected in the Diamond District for years. My reasons for using Luriya to buy the Rolex I truly coveted was threefold: (1) these gentlemen know their watches and jewelry; they speak with honesty and expertise, (2) they are fair when making a sale or purchase - a win-win for both parties and (3) I genuinely liked Mark and his father, Fima; the entire transaction was fun. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend Luriya. read more

I must agree with Mike C., the previous Yelp reviewer. I went here to sell a piece of jewelry and received ridiculously poor and unprofessional treatment. On top of that, these guys want to low-ball you and completely rip you off. They offered me less than 30% of what they would be selling the piece I brought to them. This is completely backwards. I recommend you do not waste your time going here if you're looking to sell jewelry. read more

Make sure to take photos of all your items and get a second opinion about appraisal value. And, ask them to give you an appraisal value for each item. Have them give you a detail list of all items they buy from you that is signed. They are crooks and wouldn't return my family items When I decided it was a mistake to sell them within 24 hours because their sentimental value was more than the small amount of money they gave me, they refused to give me back all of my items and only gave me back the worthless things. Be very careful when dealing with this company. read more

I have been to Luriya three times. My interactions were with the owner Fima. I have been very satisfied with the prices that I received for my estate jewelry. I will be going back there in 2023 with other jewelry that I will be selling. Thank you Fima and Luriya! Shawn read more

I called in advance and was given quotes for silver coins of average quality. When I arrived, Mark cut the amount he was willing to by more than half. They basically lure you in with market prices (I checked with multiple dealers), and then they try to steel your product by paying a a small fraction of actual value. Never again! Total scam. They should just be honest and not waste people's time. read more

Another great experience with Luriya. Again, very kind, fair, and easy to deal with. I highly recommend

I had a good experience selling scrap gold here. I worked with Fima, who is a very pleasant and professional man. My old gold rings, broken earrings and charms brought me a very good cash price. It was quick and easy. read more

I went in thinking I was going to a professional place they were pleasant in the beginning then this guy Mark asking me what I wanted for each item I told him I'm here for you to tell me what you give me he still kept asking me well what do you want . Then I said to him bro come on . He went off on me telling me not to disrespect him I'm not his bro etc etc. I said to him really what is wrong with you . So I told him I pawned the jewelry for more than he would offer me and he called me a liar . So I took my jewelry back I said bro Again by mistake and he went off on me threatening me telling me never to come back if I ever came back he'd kick my ass . Unbelievable experience so of course after trying to hold myself I told him off he followed me to the elevator got in the elevator went downstairs with me . Now I'm 62 years old he's probably about 35-40 and I could not believe how a so-called professional would treat a grown man old enough to be your father . Bottom line he's a crook read more

Sold these guys two Rolex watches. They were fantastic! Straight forward, best price and no run around. Priced watches out at three different watch stores and they paid the best (ironically Torneau paid worst, don't waste your time). Go visit Mark, I highly recommend this business. read more

My first transaction with Luriya and Fima was professional and positive. I brought in a number of old coins that had soldered attachments (loops, etc) as well as some silver coins. While I'd hoped the collection would be of greater value, Fima explained how the alterations to the coins diminished their value greatly. I didn't leave rich, but I did leave with a good understanding of the reason for the valuation. read more

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I was looking to sell some gold and of course in this area there is no shortage of buyers. I already knew exactly what I was selling and didnt want to deal with a street market type of haggling situation. I made a call to them and they were courteous and followed up with me daily until the day of our appointment. The sale was friendly but professional. I felt I was treated fairly and with respect. I believe they value long term customer relationships and that's who I want to do business with. We agreed at a number quickly and they paid cash on the spot. I will be back to them and look forward to dealing with this establishment. I would strongly recommend you give them a chance. Of course I tell everyone, shop around, its business. But after you deal.with so many hustlers in this industry, you'll quickly realize the difference when dealing with people who appreciate customers. read more

Total waste of time. Went in to sell a Rolex and instead of getting an offer I was asked how much I wanted - felt like a pawn shop. I already had an offer and he came in $1300 less for the Rolex. Said it was a "old" watch. Very disappointing based on previous reviews. read more

Fair prices. Quick transaction. Good experience. Thanks Fima and Mark! I checked two other places and chose them. read more

My family had some coins we wanted to know the value of. I found these guys through yelp/google and I'm glad I came here. They're very nice. I know nothing about this stuff and they explained the worth and what the market for gold is doing and helped me make a decision. I worked with Liva in particular. He's super nice and wants to both do business and form a relationship for the future. read more

Quick, fast and fair. I found my experience very reasonable. I was interested in selling a very high end watch. I already had a number in mind and Fima came in at that number, then paid in cash. I found my interaction to be completely professional, and I'd certainly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell any high end watch. read more

Great service, friendly staff, and fair prices! I was seen right away and the process was easy and fast!

This was quick and easy! They are pleasant and fair, and I will be returning the next time I have jewelry to sell.

I had a great experience selling lots of gold/silver pieces! Would recommend to anyone to bring their old jewelry and walk out with cash! Great service, knowledgeable and easy! Will return for sure! read more

Was contacted to come in with my antique jewellery, under the impression that this man knew about antique jewellery. Also, I was under the impression that this establishment was cash for jewellery. (I specifically asked that question) NOT cash for gold/silver. These are 2 completely different things. Cash for jewellery is also eluded to on their website. I was offered $40 for a $1,500 Georg Jensen bracelet, a $500 Peruzzi Necklace and $400 Peruzzi bracelet, Sterling bangle, And 2 pieces of Siam Niello, vintage jewellery. And this man knew nothing about antique jewellery. I had the feeling that once he saw the pieces, he changed to "cash for gold/silver" to get the pieces for the cheapest price, only to turn around and sell them for the names and stones... Which is pretty much cash for jewellery. I was misled and lied to and they tried to completely cheat me. Anyone who gave this establishment 5 stars, is most likely affiliated with the owner, or works there. I am sure this isn't the first time they tried to pull this, or gotten away with it. Fima K was easy to deal with and fair. We made an appointment to sell some one-ounce gold coins, and we were done in minutes. Paid in cash. Highly recommended!! read more

Complete disappointment. Stay away from these guys. Emil appraised a gold ingot and offered $200 which we accepted. He call an hour later to he want to talk about the ingot and could we come back to the store and renegotiate. Basically he want his money back. He never apologized or admitted he mistake on his part. He also intimated that what they usually do in this situation is file a police report...as if we had made the mistake. Terrible experience. read more

I walked in, without an appointment, and was ushered into an office where I met one of the gentlemen who worked there. I wanted an estimate on a pair of green malachite estate earrings that I never wore. I got excellent service and we agreed on a price easily. I would definitely go back again. The YELP reviews brought me to this place and I'm very grateful. read more

Did not have a good experience with these people. I sold two pieces of gold and Fima the CEO used the pennyweight to calculate and the gram price to pay me. When I questioned it and tried to get him to quote me the correct gram weight of my items he fast talked and did something with the scale. I thought I was being quoted the correct gram weight and price and I wasn't. I was cheated out of over $400. The gram wt was approx 42 and the dwt or pennyweight was approx 29 what he kept quoting. It's a damn shame but these people pride themselves on being honest. read more
