I went to this amazing spot in Patzcuaro, Michoacán, Mexico. It's a fairytale town. If you love…read moretraveling this is definitely a beautiful place to explore. Anywho we stopped at Don Jenaro's for some chocolate and bread. They actually had a bread made out of corn that paired so deliciously with the chocolate. The spot is so cute in the inside it has a few places to sit and it's beautifully decorated with local artisan pieces. There is various types of hot chocolate you can enjoy. I love their semi-sweet. My mom just brought some back from there that's how I remembered to write this. The people were so hospitable. The fact that they had a gluten free bread cake for me to enjoy alongside the chocolate was the best. When I bit into the soft, creamy corn bread cake it made my heart burst of happiness. I could not tell it was any other kind of bread. Highly recommend. Do your research on this place because there's quite a bit of tourist spots around. For example, Janitzio, which is a island within this town that's indigenous and they really know how to celebrate the day of the dead. Enjoy!

Every time I visit family in Michoacán, I come here to eat tacos once I land because the tacos here…read moreare that amazing! Taqueria El Infierno started in the Apatzingán, Michoacán and it's named suggests, that town is a very hot and arid region of the state. Despite the name, the tacos here fantastic. They only serve tacos de bistec (aka carne asada) but also different cuts of meat like rib eye and NY steak. The result is that the meat here is beyond flavorful and just fantastic! Plus, the salsas here are amazing and I dream of putting that spicy avocado salsa on my tacos! It's pretty dang incredible! I just absolutely love their salsas and once again emphasize that without a good salsa, a taco is NOTHING! This place nails the meat AND salsa! If you're ever in Uruapan, you must come to Tacos el Infierno as you'll definitely leave happy and satisfied! It's located by a main boulevard near a roundabout, so it can be a little busy here, but not too hard to find! I crave these tacos every time I'm in Uruapan and will continue coming here every time I visit family. My highest recommendation!
