Good quality, authentic Chinese Ambiance: impossible to know…read moreit's there from the outside (no signs & it's upstairs in a nondescript building). Inside it's a very basic, large banquet room much like you see a lot of in China. Good view of MC and STC skyline. Menus in Chinese & Spanish and half of the items in photos. Did not appreciate the sticky menus though. Service: Hit & miss. Some friendly waiters, others standoffish and rude. Food: great quality. I had the soup dumpling which were excellent and the shrimp pancakes. Fresh and tasty with good ingredients. Though shrimp was the only ingredient in the pancakes which could've had some veggies. Price: varies from really good to pricey for some of the specialty items. Overall pretty good value. I'll update when I go again and try other dishes.

I have been pretty desperate for authentic Chinese food and especially DimSum in Santiago, since…read moremost of the Chinese restaurants here serve quite different dishes. I've been tired of eating dry dumplings and chaufa (fried rice) that never taste even close to how they're supposed to be... Food Lays instantly became my favorite Chinese restaurant in entire Santiago for their quite authentic selection of dishes. This place is way better than Madam Tusan (peruvian Chinese chain) or Palacio Danubio Azul, that are much more expensive than this restaurant. They serve DimSum menu, including steamed shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leave, steamed buns with BBQ pork, congee (rice soup) with century egg, Shaolong Bao (steamed pork dumplings with soup), and etc... These dishes are quite hard to find in other Chinese restaurants in Chile. And they're mostly less than 3000CLP for each, really cheap!! I'm so glad I found this place now. *Such a shame I didn't take pictures this time... sorry!! I went there on Sunday lunch, at 12 o'clock. It's the opening time, so the restaurant was empty except out table. But I assume this place is more popular on Saturday or in evening~night hours of weekdays. I will definitely repeat coming back to this place for having DimSum!!

I give this place a solid 3. It is nothing fancy or spectacular but your typical neighborhood…read moreChinese restaurant. The portions are really really tiny for the price and when I went with my partner he was still hungry even though we had ordered spring rolls, wan ton soup, and two entrees. Never a good feeling leaving a place with a partially full stomach and an expensive check. The food is decent and they have a selective menu. I have had up and down experience with the service, although once ordering take out and literally after we paid we asked to change our soup choice and they just said "NO", so customer satisfaction was not really the feeling I was getting. The atmosphere is casual nothing fancy, I would recommend it for a date, however a casual lunch with a co-worker would be fine.

The spring rolls hardly had any vegetables in it and who puts post atoms inside boggles me, it tasted like a pasty and they didn't serve it with sweet chilli sauce either. It must be catering for local taste I presume and the beef chowmain I found really salty as they put too much soya sauce in. This has to be the worse Chinese restaurant I have been to so far in my life. Probably ok for locals who do not know what Chinese food taste like but not ok for Chinese people or people coming from 1st world countries. I took the liberty to check out the Chinese super market and they have everything there so it's not the lack of ingredients just the chef is crap.

The food is decent and Guang Yen has some good vegetarian options such as the veggie "chaumen". The best part about their service is definitely the fast delivery they offer. The ambiance is very relaxed, the service is good and the food is fresh. They also have some awesome "colaciones" that are very affordable and great for lunch if you work close by! I recommend to get the food to go or for delivery as the restaurant isn't the most romantic place to eat (kind of dark and a bit dingy). Great if you are on a budget and hungry as the prices are decent and the servings are large! Also, If you need a place to check mail and continue working while grabbing lunch, Guang Yen has WIFI!

The inside is very small, casual and cute. Funny enough I ordered the Chow Mein noodles which look just like the noodles you would get in a cup of soup or top rawmin. Which is fine, just nothing fancy or gourmet. I actually really enjoyed their wonton soup, it was served with lots of wontons and chicken and green onions. They have dark beer too which is my favorite in the winter time. They accept credit cards and are located right in front of Santa Lucia hill on Jose Miguel de la Barra. Bonus: On a Sunday night they are open late too which is good to have as an option as almost everything is either closed or closes early on Sundays.
