To make matters more challenging, I was having difficulty viewing arrangements online, and the region was experiencing severe weather. The funeral home had even warned the family that the graveside service might need to be postponed if temperatures dropped low enough for the ground to freeze. From the moment I called, I was treated with kindness and patience. The young woman who answered the phone was delightful. She explained that she was new, but she carefully relayed all of the information to the owner and made sure every detail was understood. Because I couldn't easily view arrangements online, they took the time to discuss flower selections, colors, and design options over the phone. I provided a budget range, and rather than simply charging the maximum amount, they billed me right in the middle of that range, which I felt was both honest and considerate. What impressed me most was their attention to detail and genuine care. Knowing I was out of the country and that the service date was uncertain due to weather, they offered to contact the funeral home directly before delivery to confirm whether the service was proceeding as planned. If it was postponed, they would hold the arrangement and ensure fresh flowers were delivered on the correct day. Everything was handled exactly as promised. The arrangement arrived on time, the flowers were fresh and beautiful, and my family reported that it was absolutely stunning. (the one on 13thSt.) 1-800flowers connected with Beautiful Things to fulfill the order. They did not arrive. 1-800flowers cancelled payment. Two days later they were located at the Carter Ave location of Steen. the funeral home took them to my brother's home. Upon arrival they were half dead. Beautiful Things(saying this lightly) owner called his home demanding to know who was going to pay for them. I called a week later to express how upset that made us by her phone call. She immediately started screaming at me why was I calling her and what did I want her to do about it. I simply said well I would appreciate an apology and to say she would never call another grieving family in this manner again. She said (and I quote) "well I'm sorry your father died, but everyone's father dies sometime". About being at the wrong chapel she said that was the address on the order. She doesn't have time to check to make sure she is delivering to the correct place. She then said they were delivered on the correct date, but there is no way they were there the day of services per funeral home staff. When I said were half dead, she said "oh I'm sure they were"! If you use this florist you will be dealing with one of the rudest person's I have ever spoken to, they will probably be late, half dead and at the incorrect address.

I asked for a specific vase pictured when they told me they were not sure if they could get the vase I asked to cancel the order. They called the owner called me back and stated I would receive that vase. Upon delivery it wasn't the vase and the flowers looked like someone picked them out of a ditch. When I called and sent pictures they asked me to have the family send recent pictures. These flowers were delivered on Tuesday. I called Thursday. Then said well we can pick the flowers up and refund you. The family just lost a loved one why would someone be so insensitive. I would never send them back to pick up the flowers. Just a headache all the way around. I told the owner to keep the money and we would just never order from him again.
