My primary doctor initially wanted to send me to The Spine Team but I asked to go to NW Ortho…read morebecause my husband went there years before and had a generally good experience. I wish I would have followed the initial referral of my doctor, as NW Ortho has either gone way downhill or just don't have the staff to handle all their patients. I was suppose to go to a doctor, Timothy Powers. I never did meet Dr Powers, the the initial appointment I saw a PA. This was ok but he didn't really explain my x-rays or discuss anything else with me. However when I got the second notification for my appointment it was with another P.A. Still no doctor, not even an introduction. I called the office manager and let her know I'd like to discuss my condition with the doctor my appointment was made with (Timothy Powers). She basicallty told me, without any explanation or policy discussion, I was out of luck. So I went in and talked to the second PA who told me I probably had a pinched nerve and needed a MRI. Fine, I go get the MRI that detailed several spine changes, including several bulges and effacement of the cord at one level. When they called me to come back for the results, the appointment is still with the PA. To be clear: I have no issues with PAs, often preferring a PA to the doctor, ONCE CARE IS ESTABLISHED. Frankly, I am still wondering why over the timeframe of 6 weeks, I never saw one doctor. Does Medicare and the insurance still pay the "doctor rate"? It just seems like extremely poor patient service and care with no explanation from the office or the business, I won't be going back! By the way, total patient face time with both PAs was less than 8 minutes per visit.

Dr Lynch did my first hip, Dr McDonald did my shoulder and knee and Dr Reichard did my other hip. They are all amazing doctors.

I have severe pain in my knee. An MRI done 4 months previously, showed several issues requiring…read more"specialized" surgical intervention. My knee pain has steadily increased over the months to the point that I can hardly walk. I have had other appointments with Dr. Howlett describing my pain, he did not describe my pain as unreasonable in the past. In this appointment, without an updated MRI showing if any conditions had changed, Dr. Howlett declared my medical issues would not cause that much pain. I waited in extreme pain for over 8 months for my knee surgery. I was on his surgery schedule for over 3 weeks. Three days before my surgery, in my pre-op appointment, Dr. Andrew Howlett, without medical reasoning, canceled my surgery. Instead of being "a doctor" and finding out what would cause so much pain, Dr. Howlett dropped me. I have read on the internet that my issues could push on the nerves behind the knee and can cause severe pain. Is it possible that the growths behind my knee have grown and are now pushing on said nerves causing my pain?? I DON'T KNOW, I'M NOT A DOCTOR. Dr. Howlett said and I quote "people like you...after getting to know you, I've decided I'm not comfortable doing your surgery...I'm canceling your surgery for Friday" "people like me" WHAT does that mean?? "after getting to know you" you make clear you don't have a medical reason for canceling my surgery. You declared you have a personal reason for canceling my surgery saying "after getting to know you" not a medical reason. For Dr. Howlett to remove me from his surgery schedule without medical reasoning was irresponsible, immoral, and unethical. Does a doctor take an oath to do no harm? Dr. Howlett dropped me from his medical care without referring me to someone else, knowing the surgical care I needed was "specialized" Dr. Howlett went further to say I could make another appointment with him in 6-8 weeks and ask him again if he would be willing to do my surgery. Dr Howlett said he would see then if he had "changed his mind", and was willing, after all to perform my required surgery. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!? What kind of twisted mind games, and medical power trip does Dr. Howlett like to play with female patients? It is possible that Dr. Andrew Howlett suffers from some sort of mental health disorder and or mental health issues. Dr. Andrew Howlett should not be allowed to medically treat anyone. Dr. Andrew Howlett shakes / bounces his legs uncontrollably throughout his appointments. Stay away from this place and Dr. Howlett! After I receive the medical care I need I will update this review. If I suffer irreparable harm from Dr. Howlett's actions, I will hold him responsible for his actions.

This isn't your typical gym where you just go to work out--it's a place where you go to genuinely become a better person. Even with a full gym, the experience feels personal, like you're getting one-on-one support. KJay is always smiling and so encouraging, which makes a huge difference. I've only been part of the SCE family for less than a month, but it's already completely changed my perspective on working out. I'm one of the youngest members here at 21 and a college student, but I've seen people from all age ranges, from early 20s to 60s+. Age isn't a barrier--everyone is welcome. I love that you get out of it what you put into your fitness journey. There are no mandatory classes or strict schedules; you can come in whenever you want, and KJay is always super accommodating, trying to be there for your workouts. On some days, I can really push myself, and on others, if I'm not feeling 100%, I know I can take it easier without any judgment. A week after joining SCE, I injured my shoulder pretty badly. It was supposed to take months to heal, but with KJay's support and positive attitude, I was back to my normal life in just two weeks, doing modified workouts. I'm so grateful for the energy and optimism he brought to my recovery. When they say SCE is a family, they truly mean it. There's a reason they have a process to join--it's all about building a supportive and uplifting community. If you're looking to better yourself, improve your outlook on fitness, and be part of an amazing community, I 10000000% recommend SCE!
