I couldn't wait to come back. Unfortunately, the customer service was a mixed experience this time. The person who took our order was very friendly, smiled, and made us feel welcome. The others, however, didn't seem nearly as friendly. They appeared serious and somewhat disorganized. While we were looking at the pastries, we were told that drink orders needed to be placed at a different register on the other side, which was perfectly fine. We placed our drink order there and then moved back to the pastry counter to order our pastries. That's when the process seemed to slow down. It took a while to get everything ordered, and the flow of service felt confusing and unorganized. They also forgot to put the herb biscuit in the bag until it was pointed out. We later realized it hadn't been warmed up either. If I had been taking it somewhere without access to a microwave, I would have been extremely disappointed. On a cold day, a cold bacon and egg biscuit just doesn't work for me. I'd like to think it was simply an off day for a couple of the employees because the person who took our order was genuinely pleasant, and that kind of friendliness makes a big difference. As for the food, it was very good. The almond-filled scone was delicious, the macarons were excellent, and the herb egg and bacon biscuit was great once it was warmed up.
