I purchased a pellet stove in mid-October [2022] and got 3 weeks of use before it failed. I believe the igniter. They say, "they never fail", but they won't come out to determine what has failed. I have checked the fuse, which is fine. Most customers posting positive reviews have purchased log fireplaces. The people are likeable enough, I have no problem with Nick. I had planned to reduce my use of fuel oil, but I have spent over $700 on oil during these 6+ weeks of no Pellet Stove... plus I have two tons of pellets sitting in my garage. Very bad situation. Bill arrived at my house exactly on time. It was obvious that he has been in the industry a long time and is incredibly knowledgeable. He explained everything very well to me. He even wore boot covering the entire time so that he wouldn't dirty my floor. It couldn't have been a better experience. I've already recommended this company to a friend.

We hired Ryan & Son to perform a Level II chimney inspection during our first home purchase. The…read moreinspection day went smoothly, but afterward we really regretted working with them. They told us we'd need to fully replace the firebox and flue, and that doing so would trigger a series of code issues, recommending a full rebuild in the $15-20K range. This directly contradicted the seller's professional, who said the issues were easily repairable for closer to $7K. We eventually had to bring in in a third party, who confirmed the seller was right and said Ryan & Son seemed to be "trying to sell us way more than what was needed." We felt incredibly frustrated because we paid for clarity and guidance but ended up with more confusion, making our home-buying negotiations unnecessarily difficult. They were not in our corner, even though we paid them to be. A quick check of their Yelp reviews shows others have had similar experiences, so this doesn't seem like a one-off. I wouldn't recommend using this company if you're hoping for honest, helpful insight; especially during something as stressful as buying a home.

He educated me about how that's really only a problem in attics and to use a dehumidifier in the basement. Jim came highly recommended from a coworker who had sprayfoam done in her crawlspace. I can see why she sang his praises.

They quoted me 1600 dollars... that was only to remove the old sump (pumps, plural) and replace it with a new one. I wasnt sure if the electrical was to blame or the sump pump so I just contracted with them...thinking they will take care of it. They originally said how it would take probably 8 hours. The day the gentleman showed up to do the work, he was timely and polite. Everything started out great. But then he was done in about 2 hours... (????) so i figured, no problem, at least I wont have to worry about it again... (queue up the foreshadowing...as this was NOT the last time I would have to deal with it). Within a month or 2 I went down to the basement/crawlspace area to add salt to the water softener, and sure enough, there was standing water...(What the heck??) So I called All Clear.... They promptly showed up.. it was even the same guy! He stuck his hand in the mucky/murky water and stirred it around and got it working again.. and told me ..."anytime this happens you can just do this" (UHHH NO THANK YOU SIR, I WILL NOT BE STICKING MY HAND IN GROSS WATER TO FEEL FOR SOMETHING TO TRIGGER THE SUMP PUMP) I told him im not sticking my hand in that so ...what do i just ...poke it with a stick? He said, yeah just do that. So I ultimately paid 1600 dollars for a sump pump replacement that took 2 hours that I have to go and poke with a stick on occasion. How do I feel about this..? Not good, to be honest. I have never paid that much per hour for plumbing work..(well, honestly I paid less for plumbing work from another company that just ended up getting ripped out and to have them text and threaten me)... so I guess at least the plumbing work stayed put and works...90% of the time... but I cannot say it was a good value. I kind of figured that for that amount of money (per hour) I would have gotten a better, more lasting outcome.
