I feel like they focus…read moreon customer service because when you call you always get the most kind and helpful people but it never speeds anything up. I recently waited four weeks for a loan Payoff when I did a direct bank wire transfer. I didn't mail a check. They took my money in one day and waited four weeks to apply it. Then when I took the next loan I paid extra to expedite it. They sent the check via FedEx in an envelope that got dropped on my porch. An envelope! It blew away before I got home from work. I called them. They told me that they can't cancel and re issue before 12 business days. That will make this entire process over seven weeks. Almost two months to get my own money. What year are we in? Why can't I simply pay off a loan in a day like anything else and then request a direct deposit like anything else. Ameritas simply wants to keep everyone's money in play as long as possible because it adds up to millions that they get to keep in the stock market........ I'm not mad at the call service workers. They are great. But Ameritas sucks ass!

    Ameritas refused to pay my claim for their in network dentist in Los Algondones, MX. The reason…read morewas that the name didn't match. There is clearly an NPI number, License Number and Provider Code on the claim form. But they chose to deny this claim because name of the business was in Spanish and not English. "Castle Dental vrs Castille Dental." After over 10 calls, they finally mailed an $80 check to the dentist and told me it was my problem. On the attachment, you can see that they paid and mailed me the check for $32.00 on a cleaning. When the claim was resubmitted by phone request, they sent the dentist in Mexico $80.00 Clearly, one can form their opinion of this company.

Octavio could not…read moreprovide us with any concrete answers; he made no effort to help us find a solution to our dilemma. Flaunting his 13 years experience in the industry only made the matter worse. I'd like to believe that someone with 13 years of experience with anything had some sort of handle on the subject matter. I guess the Imperial Valley has that effect of people. I highly recommend AIG or Pacific Life over Assurity Insurance, and definitely would NOT utilize the services of Belellano Insurance Services

    *Update: I reached out to an insurance broker I was working with and they finally got the attention…read moreof Assurity. After talking with their underwriting team and jumping through all the hoops they gave me to jump through (specifically proving those severe health accusations I mentioned earlier were false, and also needed me to show 12 months of stability in certain areas, which I've never had to do with any other insurance company) they wrote back to me yesterday and informed me they now need 24 months of stability in order to consider giving me a normal benefit, and sent me a graded benefit package that was high-priced with less than half the benefit I was looking for. And to my understanding, they gave me that option under the condition I give them health records along the way for the next couple years. I get that you need to be careful, but you gave a customer an expectation to meet in order to get insurance from you and then changed it on them once they gave you what you originally requested. That is not keeping your word. This has been such a stressful 6 months for me and I would not have applied had I known. Now there's a black mark on my health record that is false but I can't change it. I'm going to go with someone local who has already accepted me for a better benefit at a lower cost. I've written a few hundred reviews on Yelp and this is regrettably my least favorite business experience I've had. I would be happy to update my rating/review if anyone from Assurity would be willing to reach out and help. Until then, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your insurance needs.*
