Have had a pretty horrible experience with them from our initial call. When my FIL passed my wife…read morecalled as the only paperwork we had from him was from Harpeth Hills and it was for everything he had prepaid. He had told us in advance that he had done that. Nevertheless, she ended that call with Thomas with a 14K quote for a funeral! And a referral to a local funeral home in Austin to help us here with transport or whatever was needed. When we finally had time to think and spoke with the local funeral home about options we decided on cremation. We also separately decided we did not want to do a funeral or have that expense. Thomas was upset and rude when my wife informed him of the plan. He then called the funeral home from Austin and was upset with them for talking us out of the funeral services he proposed! They did not do that, we had already decided that prior to talking with them. Thomas then also left them a nasty online review. Not a great start! We then proceeded with the cremation and confirmed those plans with the cemetery who confirmed everything was indeed prepaid and there were no additional fees. Guess what happened when we showed up? That's right, additional fees! Almost $800 to have the date of death added to the scroll as the year is included, but not the date. I've since learned this is somewhat industry standard as it is a 3rd party cost, but what is not industry standard is repeatedly informing a customer everything is paid only to ask them for money at the last moment. Furthermore there is a complete disconnect between the funeral home and cemetery. They (Lynn-GM and John Sales Mgr) ultimately offered to provide the scroll at a discount but days later have still not sent that offer/quote to any of the family. They began by trying to take advantage of a family at one of their weakest moments and when that didn't work threw a temper tantrum. It then felt like they were trying to extract something from us on the burial as payback, but I now believe it was just further incompetence on their behalf. Even at their best throughout this process they felt shady. This is a corporate run funeral home and you'd hope since you lose the empathy in exchange for greed, you should at least gain efficiency, but here you get neither. Stay away!

I did check a few other places but I was very glad to have chosen this funeral home and cemetery for this. Mark Bryant, the Family Service Counselor, has been wonderful to work with. He is incredibly kind and patient and really understood my needs and helped me to get all that I needed and keep my costs down. He also explained things fully and answered all of my questions. The whole environment there is one that is peaceful and calm and one gets the sense that every aspect is taken good care of. All of the staff are truly dedicated and have a great respect and love for all of the families they care for. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you!

Miriam genuinely cared about the situation in hand, explained in articulated everything perfectly, everything was done online, paperwork wise, filling out and approving the death certificate, contract paperwork and payment. You can even have the remains in the event of a cremation and the death certificates both delivered to your home without even having to leave your home regarding the matter. Again it was a pleasure to deal with Miriam and if I ever need a service like that again I will surely give them a call anytime. I hope they're in business but my day is done.

After a tragic event my dad went into coma and never woke up. I spent 11 days with him at Alive Hospice (another heaven sent place) watching him actively dying with no life support. The 17 days of hardly any sleep in the hospital and hospice and witnessing my dear dad rot away in the most horrific way wrecked my soul. I was such a mess when I contacted Jenny. Her gentleness and compassion was heaven sent. You have no idea how much that conversation with her comforted me after being alone with my dad feeling death all around me for days. She offered to dress my dad free of charge in his suit when I couldn't emotionally or physically.  I later met Dreama, another heaven sent angel who helped transporting my dad and dressing him as well. These people showed me so much compassion and tenderness during my darkest hours. They took the time to explain things to me and even tried to get to know my dad before they transported him. They showed so much grace and respect for human life and treated dead bodies as living people. I am eternally grateful for these wonderful ladies who went above and beyond to send off my dear dad with dignity and ultmost kindness. You and your loved ones will be in good hands at Cremation and Funeral Services of TN if you ever need their service.

Once we were actually local, my sister and I were very impressed with the facilities; the chapel was very nice, and the Celebration Hall was absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have been happier with the quality of the building. As they didn't have anything going on the day before, we were given the opportunity to come in and set up our pictures in the chapel, and the staff was very helpful in getting everything set up to our tastes. The funeral home had small tables we could use to hold pictures, and they had easels for large frames. We used an outside caterer, and the funeral home staff worked seamlessly with them as well, and everything was set up and ready by the time we were finished with our memorial. Our coordinator printed out beautiful memory cards for us, and had a great picture projected on the screen during the memorial service. They also added our father's obituary to their website, and played our choice of music on their sound system for the visitation and reception. After the memorial service, we didn't want to keep the flowers, and they told us they could transport them to a nursing home so that the residents could enjoy them. Overall, they made the planning of this sad event easy, and everything went off without a hitch. Prices were extremely reasonable, and I would recommend this funeral home to anyone!

Because that was extremely RUDE and UNNECESSARY. I hope they close up shop for good because they were being extremely disrespectful to the people who were in the middle of a Buddhist service by calling the cops; this is a time of mourning for many of those people and the funeral home was supposed to help in that grieving process - at least, that's what I thought. Immoral and bad for business.
