Maintenance was extremely infrequent for me, but when I needed any, I received it same day and sometimes same hour. Maybe the best part of the standard is its location. One block from the start of old town Scottsdale makes it an easy walk to the many shops, art exhibits, and great food options. We moved in about 15 days ago and everything has been pretty much perfect!…read more I'm pretty shocked to see negative comments about the office staff. When we toured the apartments they were extremely friendly, and even when there was an error on their background check that initially disqualified us from moving in, the staff was very friendly, professional, and helped us get the matter resolved. Long story short, they use a 3rd party for their background screenings and the 3rd party got some bad information. We contacted them and it was resolved the same day. The staff had no issue holding our apartment for us while we worked with the 3rd party to get the matter resolved. Another issue I've read about is train noise. Yes, there is a railroad track right next to the property and the trains run night and day. I'd say there's roughly 3-5 that run throughout a 24 hour period. The first night here I woke up due to a train blowing it's horn, but since the first night I haven't had issues. I'm not the deepest of sleepers either, but I guess I got used to the noise pretty fast. The actual sound of the train on the tracks is like white noise, and not every train that goes by blows the horn. Our unit is located facing the courtyard so I can't speak to the train noise volume for those units facing the tracks. The actual apartment units are wonderful. When we moved in everything was spotless. There are a few very small issues such as the cabinet door where the garbage can goes not closing all the way and some paint chipping from the bottom of a door trim. When we brought these things up in our move in check list they immediately offered to send someone over to fix them, but honestly it's not even necessary. You would have to really be nit picking to even notice this stuff. Soft closing drawers, beautiful subway tile in the bathrooms and kitchen, brand new stainless steel appliances, huge over sized sliding glass doors, high ceilings, big balconies, beautiful vinyl flooring... I mean there's not much else you could really ask for. The only thing that would be nice to have would be a wifi thermostat, but again, I'm nit picking. The neighbors seem very pleasant and friendly. Everyone says hello when you walk by them, most people are pretty good at cleaning up their dog's poop, and so far nobody has been blasting music or TV at odd hours of the night. As far as noise goes, you can hear people above you when they are walking around with shoes on, but honestly that's to be expected in an apartment complex and it's much less noisy than any other apartment I've lived in. We did a lot of research prior to moving here and this place checked all the boxes for us. You can easily walk to downtown Gilbert where there are tons of new bars and restaurants. The amenities in the complex are awesome including a nice gym with free weights, squat rack, and even a Peloton bike. A pool and hot tub that are both heated. Grills scattered around the property so you don't have to venture very far to get your BBQ game on. Valet trash service 5 days a week so you don't even have to walk your trash down to the dumpsters. Cable and internet included which surprisingly has great connection speeds (over 100mbps over wifi) and a number of channels. They even have an app that you can download that has a profile for all of the residents and their pets. (You don't have to have a public profile if you don't want to.) You can set up play dates for your dogs on the app, sign up for dating, get notifications about packages being delivered, pay your rent, and get notified about the many community events that are happening. Just last weekend they had a wine & paint event and they have food trucks scheduled nearly once a week. I know this is long winded and I know I've only been here for a few weeks, but I gotta give credit when it's due and this place has been awesome for us so far. If anything changes I'll be sure to update my review. Hopefully these good reviews don't lead to the rent being raised at the end of the lease because we plan to stay here for awhile.

DONT MOVE HERE WITH NICE THINGS! 5/18: K leaves my kitchen sink on (it's plugged up because roaches), completely leaves my unit and it is flooded by the time I get home. It was a nightmare but seemed like a one-off mistake. INCORRECT! Fast forward to 6/26: K leaves the hose on, pointed at my door overnight and floods my unit again. While other luxury apartments kept delaying my application and making the process longer and more stressful, the team here showed genuine care and understanding. Soltra Kierland was actually the apartment I liked the most from the beginning. However, because of my son's school district, I initially had to prioritize another complex. Unfortunately, that situation became very difficult and left me in a stressful position. In the end, after finally being able to enroll my son in school with special permission, I was welcomed warmly at Soltra. Tracie, in particular, was truly exceptional. When I explained my situation, she didn't just treat it as part of her job. She listened with empathy and understanding to a single mother who simply needed a home for herself and her child. Her kindness, professionalism, and human approach made a huge difference for us. Before and after moving in, she continued to help in every possible way, and we are very grateful. The community itself is wonderful -- residents are respectful, the environment is clean and well maintained, and my son absolutely loves the pool. Everything is always taken care of. I would warmly recommend this community to anyone looking for a place with trustworthy and caring management. Upon arrival, I spent nearly 20 minutes circling the property looking for parking. The designated office visitor spaces were occupied, including one handicap spot. While searching for parking, I called the office to let them know I was on-site but having difficulty finding a place to park. After finally finding metered parking and paying for it, I went into the office only to be told by Anaiyah that I was late and that she would not be able to show me the property. She then informed me that she had sent an email shortly before the appointment stating that I needed to be on time because she was short-staffed and would be combining tours. The problem is that I was driving and had already confirmed my appointment. It is unreasonable to expect someone who is actively traveling to an appointment to monitor last-minute emails. I also called the office to communicate my situation and received no flexibility or understanding. As a result, I wasted an entire day, fuel expenses, parking fees, and valuable time. I emailed management immediately afterward requesting a call, but never received a response. Unfortunately, this experience reflected a lack of professionalism and customer service. I had read some of the negative reviews before visiting and initially gave the property the benefit of the doubt. After my experience, I understand why those reviews exist. Based on how I was treated, I would not recommend this property to friends or family.
