As a volunteer-run organization, we are doing our best". Which to me isn't good enough, and at what cost? Bringing in dogs from Kentucky and then selling them for $600.00-$700.00 dollars isn't helping dogs find a nice home. Stop bringing in trucks of animals in until you clean up for rescue. They have had several complaints, just look them up. Even their fosters aren't being taken care of or RESPECTED! Until they can clean up their act, there are other great animal rescues out there.

When we arrived for our scheduled visit, we were not allowed to see a number dogs because "they don't get along with other dogs" even though we asked if we could bring our dog with for a meet and greet. We were only shown one dog, unfortunately, it was a three legged dog and we have many stairs. We were told we could make an an appointment with a dog being fostered. But they didn't tell us pre appointment. This all could have been communicated through email. What a disappointment.

The guy who put her down made sure that I took enough time with her & was very comforting. The whole staff was extremely kind through the whole process & never made me feel guilty for making the decision. I then bought my new puppy Duke from them & they helped me with everything to ensure that I left with him. This was very unlike the other shelters I went to because they want more than anything for every pet to get adopted. They had all his paperwork, microchip data, instructional tips, and even clipped his nails for me before we took him. Even though Duke has a couple fixable behavioral problems, he has become apart of our family. You can also tell they care for every animal in there. They knew all of the pets by name, and each pet had a huge space to themselves with a cot & occasional walks. All of the pets looked super healthy & I was glad to find a dog as great as Duke. South Suburban Humane Society has been there for me through my saddest moment to one of my happiest! I can never thank them enough for all that they have done for me.

Midnight, is female, sits on the top of the living room chair watching out the window. Friendly, lovable, meows for me to pet her; such a stress reliever. Leo, the male, is shy. He will spend most of his time downstairs. The cats are quiet, clean, low-maintenance for the life I live. The animal control personal were very professional. The animals were shown care. I appreciated the genuine attitude the building and staff showed. If interested in a pet give a sheltered animal a chance because animals adopted from shelters typically cost less than ones purchased or even acquired for free--once you add in the cost of vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, dewormer, and other "tide bits" included in your adoption fee, you'll probably be surprised what a bargain it is to have chosen an adopted pet. Most shelters and rescue groups conduct thorough behavioral analyses of each pet to get a better ideal that they will be the right piece for your family. Schererville Animal Control did this and told me if anything happens to please bring the pets back. I can not recommend to adopt a shelter animal anymore than buying from a pet store etc. Most pets end up homeless through no fault of their own--"moving" and "landlord issues" are the top reasons people give for relinquishing their pets, please check out your local shelter. It was definitely 100% worth it for my children and I.

Found one in Tinley Park and could not be happier... she had a Successful Remover of a TUMOR on her EYE LID and pleased non cancerous also had teeth cleaning which she desperately needed. My sister stopped going prior to me when ATTIG took the cat cage and lifted it up and dumped the cat on table... My Sister is now going to my new vet... There is something seriously disturbing about the way this practice operates. My best friend had…read morebeen taking her puppy here for the last 6 months, always for routine exams/vaccines, and never had an issue. Based on other reviews, it sounds like the clinic does well for routine visits. But animals get sick, and that's where things seem to go sideways with their ability to treat ill patients properly. She brought her puppy in on Saturday for vomiting, not eating, and lethargy. Having been a CVT for several years, standard protocol for a patient presenting with those symptoms is a physical exam, fluids, cerenia, and X-RAYS. X-rays. This is where this practice failed. They took the puppy back to the treatment area, administered subcutaneous fluids, and a Cerenia inj., all without discussing it with the owner first, but besides the point. My friend even asked about taking X-rays, testing for allergies, infections, etc., and the vet completely wrote her off because the pup wasn't acting lethargic at the hospital, even though they were told that she had not been herself. Any veterinarian should know damn well that dogs get a pump if adrenaline when they come to the vets office and may not present the same way that they have been at home. But listen to the owner, the owner knows the dog better than anyone else. This visit was on Saturday. Come Sunday morning, the family woke up to their puppy dead. She was 7 months old. Something was so wrong with the animal that it became fatal, but all the vet could be bothered to do was fluids and anti-nausea injection. Had the vet taken the time to listen to the owner, perform the appropriate tests that any other veterinarian would have done, the animal likely would still be alive right now. The puppy was a Christmas gift to a sweet 8 year old boy, who is absolutely devastated by all of this. As if it couldn't get any worse, when the practice was notified of the death today, they got incredibly defensive, tried to blame the owner for the death, and when asked to refund the money for Saturday's visit so that it could be put toward the pup's memorial, they very rudely declined, and continued to make grotesque insults to the owner. When the owner responded that she would report them to the IDFPR, their response was "yeah okay, that's what everyone says."... everyone? This happens a lot? You have clients routinely experiencing practices that they feel are warranted enough to be reported to the state? Well, after reading a handful of other reviews on here, several other people have had similar experiences bringing their pet in for a medical issue, and the pet has died within days of the visit because the doctor didn't do what they were supposed to do. Don't take your animal here. Even if your animal is a current patient and you fortunately haven't had to experience something like this, stand up for Marley. Stand up for the 8 year old boy that lost his best friend because of their carelessness. Stand up for all the other animals that have died because of this clinic. This has been a devastating situation, and the finger is pointed at this clinic. Shame on you. Get familiar with standard care, or close your doors, before you become responsible for the death of another animal. I'm sure the response to this review is going to be the same defensive, blame shift, and gas lighting that every other negative review they have gets. So, go on.

They stated that they would call me the next morning once his blood test results came back. When Dr. Senese called and and I asked how he was doing, her response was, "unfortunately he passed away." I was completely shocked. I asked her what his blood test results showed and she stated, "I don't know. I have to look at them." She called to tell me that my dog had died suddenly and unexpectedly and hadn't even looked at his blood test results before calling me. I was hoping for some kind of answer as to why this happened but I got nothing. On top of that, she seemed put off that I preferred to take my dog to be cremated myself instead of going through her. I requested copies of his vet records and after being ignored for over a month, all I was given was a copy of an index card with some notes scribbled on it. I absolutely do not recommend her or any of her associates.
