The service in this place is not for those with low self-esteem though. The store is seriously overstaffed, so it's almost a personal shopper experience which, it turns out, can be a mixed blessing. I once mused to a lithe young thing there that it'd be great if Haviana did a 'nude' colour thong to which she replied 'I don't think anyone would wear it'. Feisty. 'I would,' I thought as I checked out here lurid yellow pair and hobbled off to get me some style. The gents are no better alas, one buff young guy once caught me browsing and tried to advise me on sunglasses -most of which were very 'trendy' and really not me but hey I was committed and he was cute. The clothes are for the most part effortless, simple and chic but then there is that piece that have a certain eclectic flair. The homewares are similar - cashmere chocolate blankets are mixed with Sally Campbell textiles that are made in India. The place is confusing, and while one might be able to get some cheap goods here, they fact that you can really only get here by car means that its accessibility isn't all that great either. Well, there is a bus stop nearby, but getting inside is still a challenge.

We took the Uber and it was located right along the bay. Beautiful sight and you can walk the 7 km if you feel like it. Found a lot of bargains. $9.99 summer clothes. $5 kids clothes. But of course, if you're into designer high end brands, They're all here. For tourists only, just visit the Guests Services and you will receive the Visitor Passport for extra discounts in most stores. Guests services also provides charging stations, complimentary herbal tea or water and lounge areas.

Buyer beware, they must have numerous suppliers as the sizing and cuts varies quite drastically so make sure you tey before buying.

Tilkah is a store I first saw when I was scouring Chapel street in Melbourne for all the boutiques…read morethat everyone in Sydney raves about. Filled with gorgeous pieces of jewellery, hand bags and other accessories, Tilkah was the kind of store I could easily find myself in all the time. Unfortunately, a combination of my terrible memory and leaving Melbourne meant I forgot what the name of the store. I only recently discovered that they had a Tilkah store here in Sydney, and I recognised the name and from the style of the pieces they had available. They deal with soft leather, vintage style bags and a whole allotment of different jewellery. But warning, you pay a pretty penny for these pieces! Their shop in the Pitt street Westfield is set up exactly as it was in Melbourne. All their jewellery pieces are glittery in the bright lights of the store. I have my eye on one of their sling bags, made of their really soft leather. I just have to wait until the next time I'm allowed to treat myself.
