I brought my diamond ring in to get it plated with white gold. I have heard many horror stories from "a relative" never to bring your diamond rings in because many jewelry stores will steal your diamond and replace it with something cheaper. I resisted upgrading my ring for a long time. When I brought my ring in, they made sure they tested the diamond and weighted the ring. After the ring was finished, they tested the diamond in front of me again and made sure the weight was the same. To me, that does not seem like a business trying to rip people off. Although this is my first experience with them, this business and its owners have been around in Vancouver for over 20 years. I don't think they can stay in business this long if indeed they are ripping people off.

Featuring local and international artists, who make unique and individualized jewelry from necklaces to broches to rings to bags. At that time, there was a collection of necklaces featuring endangered plants. Placed elegantly in well-cleaned glass cases, I was able to read about the endangered plant and admiring the skills of the created pieces. On the next display, there were trending pieces from an international place (I forgot where) of these black flat, foam like necklaces. Light as air, and when placed on the wearer, it appeared to look like a tattoo. Really interesting pieces! Other displays featured, wishbone necklaces to aboriginal-like jewelry to canvas/wool bags to abstract rings. At the back of the store, there is an area from which an artist is found making jewelry on the spot! I also learned that they are able to make custom pieces for you, but I'm not sure how much. They also have fashion socks like the currently popular see-through ones. For men, they have designs like Captain America, etc. For such unique designs, their prices are excellent. Some are as low as 6 pairs for $10. Most are 4 pairs for $10. Many of their socks are from Kiss Socks, a Korean brand. The quality has held up well over the years. They wanted to charge more more than the cost of the entire ring to fix it, apparently because their gold smith said the entire ring was of such poor quality that all of the other claws were likely to let go at any time. Likely better buying a ring from Walmart than these people. Quality would be better.
